You Deserve What You Want

I am a firm believer in taking action. When we discover our greatest want we have to take action steps to get it, to prove that we're willing to do what needs to be done to achieve our goal. There is definitely a time for action. But there is also mental action that we must take.

We must eliminate all doubt and fear that what we want will never be ours. We have to trust that we deserve what we want. We have to know it is being sent to us. And we have to believe it's only a matter of time before we get it. The universe is not like a fast-food drive-up window. We don't ask for what we want, drive around and pick it up.

There is an order to the universe. Everything has to be moved and each piece has to be put into place before we receive our desire. It's like going to an elegant restaurant. We sit down and order - what we want is presented in courses or stages. Everything arrives in due time. We just have to have faith that it's coming.

Everything You Think Will Try To Prove Itself

Be Calm

Our lives are so arranged today that we seldom have a moment to collect our thoughts. Between the demands of work, family, and social activities, little time remains for personal contemplation. And, even when free moments do arise, we often fill the time with television, or music, or magazines. There is nothing necessarily wrong with these activities, but they can rob us of a great treasure--moments of quiet solitude.

As our society becomes more and more turbulent, we need to take time to be calm, to be quiet, to cultivate peace. Think about it, how can we ever hope to achieve lasting world peace, if we cannot even bring a few moments of peace into our own individual lives? Why not take 15 minutes a day to tap into your inner reservoir of peace. You don't have to be sitting in a quiet room or walking in the woods to do this. Just retreat into your soul. Open your heart to your creator; listen to your breathing; shut out the surrounding noise, for just a moment.

Imagine that your life is a large clear lake. Our busy environment is as wind on the surface making it choppy and violent. We race here and there--running errands, paying bills, answering the phone, picking up the kids, interacting with friends and co-workers. The surface of our lake boils with the activities and emotions of the day. But, no matter how turbulent the lake of your life becomes, just a few feet below the surface, there is a great calm.

Have you ever been to a neighborhood swimming pool filled with boisterous children and adults? The sound of yelling and laughing is everywhere. Water splashes and the surface is choppy. But, dive a few feet into the pool and, suddenly, all is quiet. The water is peaceful, calm.

You have that same kind of reservoir inside your soul. No matter how busy and tumultuous your life is, you can retreat for a few moments into a place of calm peace. By cultivating this place in your soul daily--whether you call it meditation, or prayer, or quiet solitude--you will find that a feeling of calm serenity will begin to permeate your daily activities. I challenge you to make time for these moments--you deserve it.

Mental Toughness

Mental toughness is a choice.

The greatest predictor of success=Goal orientation + Mental toughness.

Goal orientation can be separated into two variables of focus and passion.

Mental toughness is the ability to perform at the highest level despite the circumstances. It comes from experience, education, and mentoring.

5 choices that have to be made to increase our mental toughness:

1. Embrace the pressure. Pressure is our greatest ally. It helps us focus and bring out our best. To get better at pressure it only comes from performing under pressure. Are your ultimate goals bigger than this thing that is causing short term pressure? If so then this is good practice for what you will become. That is why we embrace it because it helps get us better. Decide "I like the pressure because it helps push me to be all I can be".

2. Practice for the emergencies. Know the response ahead of time. Go through the different situations that can cause discomfort to you in your mind. Decide on what the best way to handle those situations and visualize that response. Practice it. The sun is going to come up whether you sign up this person or not. You are incredible regardless of what kind of emergency comes your way.

3. Script Success. Put on your game face. Be prepared for making it happen. In any business, non-profit, or organized team wouldn't we want to have a system and plan for our success. Before each call settle yourself and get ready for the best call you've ever had. When you take time off take the game face off.

4. Trust your instincts. When you are learning learn. When the game is on relax and play. Don't get stuck trying to learn during. Allow all the preparation to come out on this call. Dance, don't count your steps.

5. Perseverance. Never give up. Keep on. Make it happen through the thick and thin. When I was the number one affiliate for the year in a previous home business it was my third year involved and I had not been in the top 10,000 prior. I also was not in the top 5 at all during the months of that number 1 year, but I was consistent each month.

Mentor as Coach

No person is an island.

Ground rules for being in a mentor relationship:
1. Be an enthusiastic learner.

2. Be a student of the mentoring process.

3. Help others as much as you are helped.

4. Study like crazy every week.

5. Commit.

If you've done something once you can do it twice. And if you've done it twice you can make it a habit. Habits rule our days.

Everybody has strengths and weaknesses. Build on your strengths and eliminate or at least manage the weaknesses. Until you identify and deal with the limiting stuff in our lives we will never be as good as we can be.

Training is the number one thing that will affect our future. It's a process. Coaching and mentoring is a continual process forward.

When thinking about your mentor identify what area in your life that content will target. Financial, health, spiritual, or other area of your life.

Stick to the program, so that it is comfortable for all parties. A mentor will not be satisfied working with you if you are not sticking to the plans that have been shared.

How many mentors can I have? As many as don't limit you from doing what you need to do.

Many of my mentors started off as authors that I met through their books. Then we started to get to know each other better as I moved forward.

There maybe one idea a coach shares with you that changes your life forever. People think that the difference between success and failure is gigantic. That is not true at all. A slight change can affect you and your family forever. Many will not have that opportunity in life to have another person care for them in these ways.

How do you think you should treat someone who can help you this much?

7 Self-Motivators

Here are seven Self-Motivator reminders for you to review on a regular basis.

#1 - Get Serious. Make a decision to go all the way to the top. Up to now you've thought about it. Up to now, it's passed your mind. Many of you made the decision, and you've made up your mind to go all the way to the top, and your lives have taken off. It's the most extraordinary thing. Your life is one, like in the shadow going up the dark side of the hill until the moment you decide that "I'm gong to be the best at what I do. I'm going to be in the top 10 percent." And suddenly you rose into the sunshine, and your life is forever after different - wonderful. Get serious. Don't fool around anymore.

#2 - Identify Your Limiting Step to Sales Success. What's your limiting step? What's the one skill area that's holding you back? What's the skill? What's the quality? What's the action? Ask other people. Find out what you need to become good at. Sometimes it may be only one skill. If you became really, really good on the telephone, you could maybe double your prospecting effectiveness and double your sales. If you became very, very good at getting the order at the end from qualified prospects, you could double your sales. If you became very, very good at managing your time to really, really manage your time well, you may be able to double your presentations and double your income. If you were more encouraging perhaps people would gravitate to you and follow your lead better doubling your income. Find out what's holding you back. What is the critical limiting step that's determining your success today?

#3 - Get Around the Right People. Who are the right people? The right people are the people in this voice room. Get around winners. Get around positive people. Get around people with goals and plans, people who are going somewhere with their lives and have high aspirations. Get around eagles. As Zig says, "You can't scratch with the turkeys if you want to fly with the eagles." And get away from negative people. Get away from toxic people that complain and whine and moan all the time. Who needs them? Life is too short.

#4 - Take Excellent Care of Your Health. Take excellent care of your physical health. That means good diet, good exercise. Everybody knows they should eat better foods, get regular exercise and especially lots of rest. That's very important. Get a good night's sleep. Be fully rested, and tonight get really rested. You don't have to watch the Letterman Show...

#5 - Positive Visualization. See yourself as the very best in your field. Remember, all improvement in your life begins with an improvement in your mental pictures. Visualize yourself, see yourself as the best continually. You are the best. Isn't that right? So therefore, see yourself as the best.

#6 - Positive Self-Talk. Talk to yourself positively all the time. Control your inner dialogue. And what do you say to yourself? Say, "I'm the best." Say it. Say I'm the best. I like myself. I can do it. I love my work. Yes, that's how you talk to yourself. And the more you say it to yourself...someone may say, "Well, what if you say those things to yourself and you don't believe them. Isn't that lying to yourself?" No, that's not lying to yourself. It's telling the truth in advance. Because it doesn't matter where you're coming from - all that matters is where you're going. Talk to yourself the way you want to be, not the way you just happen to be at this moment. Remember, you may have gotten where you are today largely by accident. But where you're going in the future is purely by design.

#7 - Positive Action. Get going. Move fast. Develop a sense of urgency. A sense of urgency is the one thing that you can develop that will separate you from everyone else in your field. Develop a bias for action. When you get a good idea, do it now. Only 2% of people in our society have a bias for action. And if you're already in the top 10%, you can move yourself in the top 2% by resolving that whenever you have an idea or something, do it now. And the faster you move, the better you get. And the better you get, the more you like yourself. And the more you like yourself, the higher your self-esteem is. And the higher your self-esteem is, the greater your self-discipline. And the more you persist, then you ultimately become unstoppable.

Power of Persistence

Napoleon Hill said of all the people he studied the one common fact was their power of persistence.

Accept what you want to achieve. What your supposed to do must be done to hit your goals. Accept it. Then commit to it. If we do that we'll be in more peace about it and open to the enjoyment from it. We want joy from making phone calls but it will not happen by itself. I will be in joy and feeling joy because I have accepted it and committed to it. Now that I am joyful I can be enthusiastic about it. I have a purpose behind my daily tasks.

When discouragement comes it is just a little teacher. There are many lessons that can be learned through all struggle. We learn more from these challenges than anything. When we learn from them we get over those struggles and in fact limit them from happening as often in the future. Failure happens don't let that be your identity. Learn from all of them.

When you see others moving forward faster and you compare yourself to them you will get in your own way. We are all different unique people and should not compare ourselves to others because we are not them. We need to do the best that we can and compare ourselves to our best.

You need to know your purpose and goals better than you know anything. This is your movie. Your life. It needs to be the closest thing to you above all else. How does it feel to already achieve that goal? That is how you need to feel. We feel joy, peace, happiness, and these feeling lead to the results taking place.

If we always "need" more we will always "need" more. You are working for survival only. Don't look at what you "need" change the mindset. Some say "I have to" that's for security..."I want to" for social gain, "I choose to" for self development (getting better)..."I love to" for self-fulfillment, "I am called for this" that is the best creating self-actualization. The lower levels are not going to draw success to us, we change our consciousness and then we will change our results. This is more important than changing your hours or your leads (all external things). At the higher levels we are not working out of desperation but out of inspiration. Which do you think would be more attractive to others? It has nothing to do with our to do's and being in love with them. More so why we are doing the "to do's".

You cannot anchor to an unanchored mind. Our belief has to be stronger than the world's doubt. We need to be the bowl of glue for our people. Everytime they stick their hands in they take some of the glue out with them.

We need to enjoy the moment. Our awareness from the past and the future all into this moment that we are having now allow us to get the most out of right now.

It is not always necessary to be positive all the time to persist. We are going to have sometimes that aren't incredible. We can't compare ourselves to the illusion of things that don't exist. We can embrace tough times to learn from them. The key is not to get into a downward spiral of negative thoughts that create a bigger problem than was originally there. We can have an overall optimistic attitude that realizes there will be bumps on the road that help us stretch and grow.

Mental Toughness

One of the least talked about factors of success is being mentally tough. Mental toughness will allow you to endure adversity, hardship, setbacks and ultimately achieve success.

The next question is: What does it mean to be mentally tough?

It means when trouble and heartaches head your way – you are not permanently knocked off the "bicycle" of life.
It means when your plan is not going exactly the way you planned – you press on.
It means when others criticize you – you refuse to allow someone else to dictate your thoughts or direction. To rain on your parade.
It means you know who you are.
It means you accept 100% responsibility for every action you have ever committed.

Now, if being mentally tough is so crucial to success – how do you become mentally tough?

1. The first key to being mentally tough is refusing to be a victim and accepting 100% responsibility for your actions. It is not your parent's fault, your experts fault, the fault of the government or someone you knew when you were a teenager. How in the world can you be mentally tough when you blame others for your lot in life? It is empowering to accept responsibility for your fate.

When you consciously or subconsciously blame another (government, economy, family,OurGV, your expert, etc.) for the outcome of your life you are significantly reducing the chances of a happy life. This is true because you have given someone else the power to control your thoughts and actions.

2. Next, become mentally tough by becoming physically tough. Yes, there is a confidence that you will have when your muscles are toned and a walk on the beach does not exhaust you. Now, when I am 85 years old do I expect to bench 225 pounds and run 4 miles a day? Absolutely not! However, I do expect myself to put forth the maximum effort all the time so when I am 35, 45, 55 or 85 I am in the best possible shape for a 35, 45, 55 or 85 years old.

The confidence that comes from being fit is one that can't be found anywhere else. Watch what you eat and exercise. It is crucial in being mentally tough.

3. Set goals and then accomplish them! How many times do people make New Years resolutions only to break them by January 20th? This is a much bigger deal than you may think. It is a big deal because subconsciously you are telling your mind, "I can't even keep a New Years resolution!" When you tell yourself this subconsciously you then begin lose confidence in yourself and every aspect of your life is affected. When someone compliments you – it makes you feel awkward because deep down you think, "Gee, if they only knew that I can't even keep a New Years resolution."

Conversely, if you set a small goal with your goal sheets each evening and you accomplish it, your self confidence begins to build. Subconsciously you are telling yourself, "I am valuable – I am worth it – I can hit my goals – I am successful." When you see yourself this way, you are well on the way to becoming mentally tough. When you accomplish this goal day after day, even though it is so small, it is making a mental deposit into your self esteem bank account that says you can accomplish goals and are valuable.

Being mentally tough is often the last piece of the puzzle to focus on for success. Yet, I know very few successful people who are not mentally tough. It is easier to get there than you think. Become responsible for your life, stay in shape and set and accomplish your goals.

A fool lets his friends influence his future. A success lets his future influence his friends, and who is allowed to be a friend.

Your ability will only be revealed after your stability.

The key to our consistency is to realize that we are in control. Many people wake up and see what kind of mood they are in. We need to decide what mood we are in and start caring for others. When we decide we are happy we will be. We need to be happy and enjoy even the daily things. Making call after call can be a joy if we let it. Especially if we realize that our goals are being attained slowly but surely based on our efforts.

I think that many times we are tested to see if we deserve success. The amount of shopping to hit your goals is quite a bit. Fully attainable but will take a team of affiliates and non-profits to make that shopping a reality. To get a team of affiliates to believe enough in what you are doing means you personally will have to earn their support. Struggle through the tough times to get enough numbers in the system, to make those prospects get more excited about what the company can do in their lives. When we do that success then opens the door to us and welcomes us in. Why would those people and non-profits believe in us if we didn't deserve them? Who would we like to work with?

We can't give in to the temptation to just live how we "feel". We control how we feel. Get in the mirror and tell yourself to get your act together. Be aggressive. When you feel like you are going down that path of sorrow jump on it and fix it.

One key is to be realistic. If we expect too much too soon we are setting ourselves up for disappointment. People get wealthy. People give to non-profits. People have come from worse situations than any of us and have attained goals that far surpass even our own lofty expectations. But they did not do it without growing, diligent work, persistence, and going forward. Take small steps forward repeatedly. Allow your business to grow like a baby does.

Coaching questions

"in order to save a drowning person; we must first learn to swim..."

Question 1:
How many people do I need to make $5,000 a month?

difficult question to answer concerning people; not so difficult using BV's

20 active site promoters will make great money, not every team has active promoters
10,000 BV * 30%=$3,000 mo; so 16,669 BV * 30%=5,000.70 mo (equation my own)

If 17 people directly referred by you sell 1 Prem. Dlx. Pkg. that would provide your DBV for the month to make over $5,000.

If 250 of your direct referrals purchase Item 82 (70 BV) that would make over $5,00 per month for you.

Touched on:
(in the works) 5 Non-Profit Deluxe sites with purchase of Premier Deluxe Pkg. @ and increased price of $2,500 (which equals 1,250 BV).

As prices increase; so does commission.

Question 2:
How should I approach a potential client who already owns their own business?

Introduce them to the 5-page business website for a $25 per month maintenance fee.
(if they order this, you recieve 30% BV per month due to their monthly fee)
The info about the Business site can be accessed through the OurGVweb link.

Approach with a standpoint of helping potential client to create additional revenue and advertising for their company.

"be filled up so that you can overflow into other peoples' lives"

"inner strength, motivation and drive to take action; a neccessity to creat change"

-these are the notes of Jessica Stoner aka JessicaOhio-new Premier/Deluxe Affiliate.

Coaching Questions

The Question was How do I set a plan up to make 5k a month in my home Business ? I need a visual plan to make it happen.

Answer: Do you have Leaders in your team yet? or 20 Non profits Producing within 6 months?
Everyone will produce different volumes. However, as a new person the only thing we control is how many we personally produce. It's hard to show someone how to sell 3 deluxe websites if we are not doing that first.

There are specific Variables to answer this question. How many BVs does it take to Make 5k? simple. If you are a Manager in the compensation plan we get paid 30% of the bv's ourself. This is how you do it. From direct volume as a Manager 20% to start then we add 10% which totals up to 30% of the Business Volume is from Self and Directly Referred People( affiliates). We need to talk about our TEAM which is (Directly Referred People) As a Manager 20%+10% matching bonus= 30% of the bv's.
So it would take 10kBVS x .30%=3k a month income.
so we would need 7kBVS more x .30%=2k a month more.
total 5k a month. it comes to a little bit less than 17k BVs in a month with you and your TEAM. We need to put in perspective. The Advantage of Investment increase is the Value of the program. 2,500 Deluxe= 1,250 BVS
This includes Advanced Training result changes peoples life and helps them get learn faster. The Deluxe also includes Non Profit Deluxe site product which gives 80% back to the Charities. 500.00 value we can sell or give away to the NON profits.
The Product package in Deluxe Option are the things that we can return our investment from that website option. I am selling that product to Everyone. The More I sell the more deluxe TEAM affiliates I have. The more non profits we have and help.
Remember we need only 17k BVS to make 5k a month.
Its not only up to Us its the help of our TEAM. I do 1,000 Bvs Personal , I need 17 more people Directly referred where they all Sold One Deluxe , I sold one they sold one, That's Over 17k Bvs more than enough. That is simple. Could one Non Profit you refer Do over 500BVs or 1,000BVs a month from One Non Profit Deluxe. That Counts from My Direct Volume. Package 82 counts 70BVS --250 People I referred I have over 17,000 BVS a month. It Can also be who I referred also . IF I had 50 people and they refer 5 that sign up for Package 82 that adds up the same 17,000 Bvs. Many ways to generate BVs that come into my TEAM.

A Beautiful Mind

In the movie the man was going after a noble prize. He had a mental illness that would make him see people. These people would tell him that he could not do it. To give up on his dreams. Those people had brought down his career, his marriage, other relationships, and wanted to take down this noble prize. He saw them again. His wife asked, "what is it honey? do you still see them?" He replied, "They are still there but they don't bother me anymore." He ignored them and went forward.

How many of us have past things that have been getting in our way?

Coaching questions

How to present to someone who already has a business?

There is a link on the shopping mall top right corner that says "OurGV Web". That would be a good intro to them about our company to at least open the door. We can offer the non-profit or business a free 5 page website for only $25/month hosting. This should be the easiest way to get them on the site without feeling threatened, or recruited. Once there then things can unfold before your eyes in the other aspects of the business. Perhaps they'd like their store to be in the offline program, or the online program. Maybe the non-profit wants their own free shopping site. Maybe they wonder how this helps you and they want to get more detailed information on the ourgvrewards site or looking for more income themselves and then we'd bring in the ourgv site to talk about a additional business for them. Then they want to do this full time and help you achieve all your dreams.

Effective Communication

Becoming a better communicator:
1. What do you hope to accomplish? What do they need to know to help produce the outcome you would like?

2. Individuals are different. They have different personality types and react different, communicate differently as well. We need to work with their styles. Asking questions will usually help us know more about them and how they like to be worked with.

3. Monitor how the communication is going and adjust.

4. Lead by example at all times so the respect is built. Respect does not come because we command it but rather because we earn it. It can take months to build and can be lost quickly when the relationships are new. People will always listen better to someone who is on top of their own game and getting consistent results. When the respect is at it's highest communication is both effective and efficient.

5. Ask questions, make a connection, and then go in that direction. I use to say "How is your day going? I use to work at a place just like this". The connection was built and they felt they could tell me really that they didn't like their job because they knew I could relate since I had done something like it before. Then I could offer a chance to talk to a top person with my current company and they were all ears.

6. Be optimistic. People are attracted to positive people. Whether it's your experts, the company personnel, and your prospects. We need all their help to become successful so it's necessary to be positive and attract them to want to work with us.

7. Communication starts in the heart and then goes up to the brain in terms of thoughts. From the head it goes out the tongue. From our tongues it goes to the situation surrounding our prospect at the current time, are they distracted or paying attention, quiet or loud, all the circumstances are different each time we are talking. Once through there it goes to the ears, can they hear the message clear? Then to their minds, do they understand what I'm saying. Then from the mind to their heart. As you notice there are lots of variables and different steps to communication. No wonder it's sometimes so difficult.

8. Email is good and bad. It is very hard to communicate emotions. Quick info it is great for.

Table of self-esteem

4 legs to make it solid:

1. Belonging to something. How much better would it be to belong to something great like OurGV.

2. Identity. That you can do things. Who you are.

3. Worthiness. If we only compare ourselves with the heros on tv we will come up short. We need to feel that we are excited to be ourselves.

4. Competency and skills. The fact that they know how to do things well. Even small things create more confidence in what we're doing and allow us to strive for more. We create an internal locus of control. The belief that we control what happens to us.

Get Good At Sales

Anybody have too much month at the end of your money? That's where I came from, the struggle of living paycheck to paycheck if I was lucky most of the time I needed more than my paycheck. Then I started learning and studying how to earn money for real and applying those things in my life.

To be good at sales we need:
1. Belief. People will say yes more to your belief than any technical knowledge or skills.
2. Find good leads and help them to say yes.
3. Help people make decisions that are good for them.

If I say something they may doubt it but if they say it it's considered fact. So you need to ask ?'s that help them make the decisions and statements that lead to them buying.
Alternative choice ?'s that lead to your result.
Tie downs with the questions at the end, "It would make sense to invest in your future, wouldn't it?"
Repeat the question back to them, "Do I have to invest any money?" you say "Do you want to invest money into your business?"

10 fears for most people investing:
1. Fear of you. They don't want to be sold. We are great consumers but don't want to be sold. So don't come across as a salesperson but rather and expert tour guide, advisor. That is the number one key, people need to like you, trust you, and want to listen to you.

2. Fear of making a mistake. We all have been there. We need to address any of those ?'s during presentation.

3. Fear of being lied to. We must be honest and truthful.

4. Fear of incurring debt. They need to realize investing vs. Spending. The presentation needs to bring the value out of the benefits they will get, pour it on so it diminishes the investment.

5. Fear of losing face. Feeling stupid in front of family. Everyone needs to feel important and uplifted. We need to care more about them then just making a sale. We need to have empathy for them. Put ourselves in their shoes.

6. Fear of unknown. They don't know the company or who you are. That's why this whole process is an education process not a sales process.

7. Fear of bad past experience. We sound like that last situation. We need to really help them understand and feel secure in what we're doing.

8. Fear based on prejudice. Something in their lives, and the other fears creating them to prejudge us.

9. A third party is talking them out of it.

10. Fear based on the words we say. Our words either create a positive or negative effect on others. Don't say "Cost" or "price" share with them the total investment or total amount. Don't say "monthly payment" it brings them back to all of their bills we say "monthly investment or amount". Don't say "contract" call it the "agreement" "form". Don't say "buy" we need to say "own", people love to own but don't like to buy more things. Don't say "sell" or "sold", use "get them involved" or "acquire". Don't say "deal" we've all gotten into bad deals, say "opportunity" or "transaction", "this will be an incredible opportunity for you". Don't ask them to sign something, instead ask them for their "ok" or "approval" "authorize" "endorse".

You need to get comfortable with how others close the sale and then make your own style. Closing is just giving them enough information to help them make a decision that is good for them.
1. Help them rationalize their decision.
2. Avoid procrastination.
3. Help overcome their fears.
4. Overcome indecision.

After they've got all the info. You can ask them"how are you feeling about all this so far?" If they say good, then you know you are getting somewhere.

You can ask a question like "how do you spell your last name?" or "where would you like the checks to be sent to?" and then fill out registration.

When they say "I want to think it over". Say, "that's fine, I know you must be seriously interested to spend some time thinking about it. What part of the opportunity are you going to be thinking about the most? (if they don't give you anything then you ask) It is it the money to invest?" If it is the money have them start for free or compare the amount of money invested here to what a traditional business would cost.

Last thing is to be EXCITED!!!

9 presentation mistakes

Everyone is a public speaker. Although many of us have so many fears that are more comfortable than public speaking. All the world is a stage and open to ideas that can change lives. It's all about presenting, and in our case it's different than acting because people pay after the performance not before.

Women make their decisions of whether they like us or not in 17 seconds. Men it takes a little bit longer 35-40 seconds. Women can change their minds more likely than men in the first 5 minutes that's why it takes a little bit longer for men to make an initial judgment. This shows it has little to do with our professional knowledge. Dress within first 7 seconds everything else has to do with our presentation skills. We have a responsibility to share an entertaining magical presentation.

3 main things that separate top producers from average:
1. Psychological belief systems. Anyone can be successful. The question is do we have the consistency, will we keep up under pressure, and do it till we succeed.
2. Listening skills. Top producers grab all kind of incredible information than can be used later to help.
3. Persuasive communication skills. Martin Luther King Jr. And many others. No power point just heart. A little spice to their voices and presentation.

People only retain 50% when they stop listening to you it goes down another 10%, same thing after a couple hours, and then again the next day. That's why people say they want to think about it because they don't have the information retained any longer. We need people to take action when they've learned the information in the first place. When the temperature rises, when they have learned the most, we need to get them to take action.

9 presentations mistakes:
1. Winging it. Be prepared.

2. Presentations are far too informative rather than persuasive. People do that because there is no risk in just sharing information. We need to let loose and get our hearts into it. People will use information to not do it. We need to know right up front what are the biggest points for this specific person. That's what the questions are for at the beginning. Why should they work with us, what makes us the best, etc... We need those keys for them specifically. What are interests and hobbies of them that will connect us better.

3. Misusing the allotted time.

4. Not providing adequate support to bring to life your presentation.

5. Close the sale. Bring it home at the end. Like an attorney tying it all together at the end in an closing argument.

6. Boring. If you think you are boring you are.

7. Relying on visual aides. Make sure you are the one communicating, a site or power point can only compliment you not vice versa.

8. Distracting body language.

9. Being inappropriately dressed. Wear navy blue when possible. There have been studies done that that color out performs different colors when worn. For women black is also good, but for men that's more formal. Shoes and tie are judged often for men. Women notice most things about another woman. Conservative dress is best. Class has nothing to do with money. Carry yourself like you are on top of your best game!!

Bounce Back

Winners experience more failures in life. Winners are always pushing themselves to do more, to try new things, thus there is always more opportunities to fail and grow forward from those failures. Losers don't try anything so how can they fail? They succeed at not doing much.

It's how people react to failure that matters. Winners rebound resiliently. They bounce back. Set-backs don't stop them they are learning opportunities.

Henry Ford, "Failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently."

Eliminate "I failed" and change it to "I learned". Learn to be somebody who is optimistic. Half full instead of half empty.

What's bad about this situation is..... And what's good about this situation is..... That helps us always see the good.

Losers say, "If only I had...." And they focus on what could be different, looking at the past. Winners will look forward "starting now I will...." Don't worry about what could've been different in the past but rather what will be better in the future.

Don't think of yourself as a loser, but rather "I'm a winner experiencing a negative result in one area of my life." Remind yourself of what is going right.

The key is to bounce back. Things will get better. Grow.

Eliminate Self-Pity

We need to put together 2 main lists:
1. All things you don't like about yourself and can't change. Pray for self acceptance and tear up the list and burn it!!! Resolve not to think about those things again. There is nothing you can do so stop worrying about them.
2. All things you can change. Set goals and start doing something about them now!

Write out lists of personal assets (4 columns):
1. List all things you can do well.
2. 10 positive character traits.
3. Every recognition ever received.
4. All personal assets such as education, work experience, knowledge gained on your own, volunteer work, etc...

Keep this list handy and in front of you. When we burned the old list we created an empty space that must be filled with something good otherwise our mind will search for something.

Law of emotional gravity: One pessimist can pull down five optimists easier than five optimists can lift one pessimist.

Seqoia trees grow 200 feet tall and have a circumference of 70 feet. But they do not have deep roots at all, but are intertwined growing only together. Through their team work they grow big and strong.

Cactus will store water like reading for us. When things get tough we have that information stored to draw from.

Look into a mirror deep into your eyes and repeat positive thoughts. This will help you become more positive.

A man wanted to challenge this so called genius who knew every answer. He was going to put a little bird in his hand behind his back and ask the genius whether the bird was alive or dead. Whichever answer the genius gave the man would do the opposite with the bird, either killing it or leaving it alive. When the genius was asked if the bird was alive or dead he said, "It is as you will it to be." Just like our lives!!!!

Good and Bad of Self-Image

There are 4 main ways we see ourselves unfairly:
1. Through our parents, teachers and peers. This can adversely affect us in 5 ways:
A. Negative, destructive criticsm. A person must hear something 6 times before it registers on the mind, forms an emgram, and becomes part of the memory pattern.
B. Through unfair comparisons. We should only be trying to compete with ourselves.
C. Through rejection.
D. Self-depreciation.
E. An unrealistic view of failure. We fail and start new. We are never a failure we just did not hit our goal in that time. Failure builds character, perseverance, ambition, drive, patience, and faith. Turning failure to success builds satisfaction, self-confidence, and fulfillment. Failure is never final.

2. Others expectations and opinions of them.

3. The negative society we live in. All of the media.

4 Through self-talk. As discussed above it only takes 6x to become a memory. How often to we play things back in our own mind over and over. If we even tell someone something negative not only did the negative event occur which we thought about once then, but now we are thinking about telling that person (twice now thought of), and then we tell them which creates 3x now that event has been played out in our mind already.

People can take one of three paths. One that leads to success, one that leads to failure, and on that leads to mediocrity. Mediocrity is the most dangerous and the easiest because it doesn't cost anything. In addition people don't want others to succeed because it will make them look in the mirror at how they are living.

People who consistently attack others are doing so because of their own insecurities and negative feelings about themselves.

People with low self-esteem are:
1. Preoccupied with feeling of being a nobody which create 2 behaviors:1.Expectation of rejection, humiliation, and failure. 2.They get walked on by others because they thing they deserve it.
2. They criticize and find fault in others to make them feel good.
3. They don't take criticsm. Have explosive tempers. They have a hard time with the difference between someone as a person and their performance.
4. Frightened by everything. People need to love themselves just as they are. From this self-love, people can accept and love others.
5. Poor self-esteem cause serious relationship problems, causes marital problems. Insecurity puts them on defense and attack.
6. Love to gossip.
7. Scared of what failure may bring. They are secure with the past because they know it.

We need to change our self-image. There was a true story of an inner city school that was having trouble keeping any teachers because it was so rough. The principal got the resume of one older lady and before she even stepped foot into the classroom he told he not to bother with it because it would be too hard. She refused to give up and said she was excited to work with these kids. After going back and forth with the principal he decided to let her do it and asked if she wanted a guard to be in the class with her. She said that wouldn't be necessary so he walked by her classroom regularly to see what was going on. It looked like all the kids were paying attention to her and acting better than they ever had before, but how would they do on the large state test. They passed it with better numbers than ever. The principal asked her how could this be, what was she doing. She said with such gifted children with IQ scores that were so high it was no wonder they were doing well. Those were not IQ scores but their locker numbers. She changed their self-image.

Good self-images:
1. Believe they are winners. Feel comfortable. May not be where they want to be but are on their way.
2. Very goal oriented in all areas.
3. Easily motivated and excited. We can't motivate others only create a climate for them where the person starts to see themselves as they can be.
4. Refuse to carry grudges.
5. Snap back from depression.
6. They have deep relationships that are unconditional, consistent, and often undeserved.
7. Can take a put down or criticsm without taking it personal.
8. Have self-confidence. Know and rest in your talents and that you will achieve your goals.

Everyone is in sales

A baby is in sales to get what they want. Everyone is in sales. Columbus was selling the idea to come to this country and not fall of the edge of the world. Every leader was good at selling the vision. Every spouse sells all day long from when the relationship first started.

A good salesperson treats everyone like gold because your expert, field support, and all people involved with the company are involved in your making money and sales. We need all their best efforts so how are we treating them. In many cases we should be treating them as good or better than the end consumer.

Attracting Effortlessly

3 categories of people:
1. Those who are never in the moment...Always anxious, compare themselves to others, not satisfied or content with what is happening in their lives at the moment. This gets in our way of attracting.

2. Those who are not in the moment....They are content, have gratitude, but await next action to happen, yet do not take the steps towards that action. They are not thankful for what they have right now and always looking for more.

3. Those who are in the moment....Content, have gratitude, and are eager instead of anxious. I am happy with what is happening in my life now and eager to take it to another level.

Speak positively to yourself. Beyond the words it's the feelings of the words that you must connect to.

What is the next level in your life? How is it going to feel when this desire comes true? If you don't have your desires don't beat yourself up. Most of the time the results of accomplishing your goal are peacefulness. So if you get stressed out now then you are not acting like you will be when your goal is hit. Those feelings will be the catalyst to having your goals. If your goal is money what will that bring to you. Usually all things get down to helping others and being at ease, joy, and acceptance of yourself. We need that end result energy to make it start to happen now. Tap into those good feelings instead of the negative ones. It is your choice. If you are begging or needing for something to happen you are probably attracting others that need things. If you love others you will attract people who would love to. We attract based on the magnetic capabilities of our energy and what we are focused on.

Being organized with your emotions on the inside is more important than what you are doing on the outside. Do you ever have displays of anger? That is an outpouring of not being in control of the inside. Many of us are not organized because we have past events stored up there that need to be let go. Same thing goes for the organization of our work environment. Letting go of irrelevant things both outside and inside.

We need to forgive ourselves and others. If the snake bit us would we really want to hang onto the venom?

Tree: Branches are goals, tree trunk is our values, and roots are our purpose. Often we have goals with no purpose and then our goals can be swayed and knocked to the ground. We need a strong root system to anchor us. It doesn't matter how many times you fail if you have thick deep roots that are your purpose.

Create a mission statement for your life starting with "I AM". "I AM CREATING A POSITIVE CHANGE IN THE LIVES OF MILLIONS". Or something like that. This helps create the purpose. Once you have goals then what values will you gain and strengthen by accomplishing your goals. These things will inspire you emotionally to be consistent. We need to link the goals to 20 values. Lose weight (goal)...(values)healthy, more confident, physical appearance, more energy, more clarity, etc... All of these values (reasons) keep us focused on hitting our goals. They are the trunk that stabilizes the branches.

Whatever we did in the past is not who we are, and has nothing to do with what we are capable of in the future.

Script out your life. What things are you willing to let go of that might be in your way of your perfect story. You are the star in your movie.

Be grateful. What things in your life should you be focusing on more to remind yourself of how great things are compared to how they could be. If you are focusing on your attitude of gratitude you will be then attracting more of those things.

Be Hungry

If you had your life to live over again could you do more than you have? Most of us answer yes which would mean that we would do and accomplish in life is only the tip of the ice berg of what we are capable of. We need to increase our goals from what we'd typically put on paper. Don't worry about how to hit them that will take care of itself. A lot of procrastinate because we aren't fully committed. We will figure it out when we are committed with everything. Look at you with what you can be not what you currently are, stretch yourself.

Most people wouldn't read this because they are happy with way they are, but you are reading this, you are more than special. Many people are like the dog that is moaning and groaning. Why is he moaning because he's sitting on a nail. Why doesn't he move, because it's easier to moan and groan than it is to move. Lots of people moan and groan but don't move. 87% of people hate their jobs. Monday morning the heart attack rate goes up over 35%.

You don't know what your limits are, you have greatness within you. Anyone through observation and practice can create greatness.

It's not what you leave for people it's what you leave in them.

The most difficult thing you will ever do is believe that you are capable of what you truly can do.

You need coaching...A lot of coaching. You can't see the picture when you are in the frame.

Sometimes you have to believe in someone's belief in you until you can see it in yourself.

Most people suffer from possibility blindness. It's not what you don't have that keeps you from being successful but what you think you need in order to fulfill your goals.

If you died this very moment what dreams, talents, greatness will fear and procrastination cause to die with you. I refuse to die an unlived life.

I will fail my way to success. 8 of 10 millionaires have been bankrupt. 85% of people allow fear of failure to outweigh their desire to succeed. Most people pull off the highway of life and park. They don't even want to turn the emergency lights on for fear that someone will come and try and help them out to get them going. We compare to other people who are doing worse than us and feel comfortable parking in our comfort zone.

I only attract millionaires or millionaires in training. So if what I'm saying to you is attractive then we are going to have some fun.

You need to make your move before you're ready. Walk by faith not by site. No risk, no grow, no best, no happy, no happy then what else is there?

We need to detoxify our lives. Often we are around too many toxic negative people. When you are walking with someone you are either adjusting to their pace or they are adjusting to yours. Who's pace are you adjusting to? Who is in your ear, eyes, spirit? Toxic people are critical often telling you things based on their results.

We are told more about our limitations than our potential. MIT did a study that showed that if someone says you can't do something 16 people have to come say you can to equal that one person, the 17th positive will finally stick.

Make "no" your vitamin. You will always be rejected. People have to say no 7 times before they say yes. Get excited about the NO you are closer to the YES. Even broke clock is right twice a day. You must be willing to do things that others won't do to get what others won't have.

It's me. We have to take ownership and responsibility for our lives. We need to create the opportunities. We expect to win!! If you are casual about your dreams you will be a casualty. We need to take it up a notch. We need to provide more service than we get paid for. What do people say about you? Are you a person that if they say something will get done it will without a doubt?

It's hard. To do what it takes through all the ups and downs. Stay around the fire, keep warm, study success closely, take care of your dreams because they are that important. You want to remain strong. It's worth it! Find some reasons that will make it worth it for you. A small list will make the difference. You've got to be hungry!! People that are hungry are unstoppable.

Energy

It is important to know how to concentrate it, how to focus it on important things instead of spending it away on trivia. Are the things you are spending it on helping you do more volume?

Focusing on what your team, expert, other affiliates, and many other issues take time-these may or may not be necessary sacrifices, but they don’t indicate energy. In fact by doing all these things may merely be draining away whatever energy you have. One five minute argument can take the energy of an 8 hour productive day. Is that really how you want to spend your energy?

Energy is a positive quality-a desire to get things done, and done the right way. It’s an active quality-an urgent need to move from one point to another, to rise to a specific goal, to advance to a new level, to accomplish a given goal. Energy is never static. It’s a pleasurable quality; as in exercise, those who have energy enjoy using it and are excited when it’s put to the test.

Many think to have the full energy they need some burning desire or goal to drag it out of them but that is not true. To develop energy, treat yourself as if you were a child! Reward yourself at every opportunity. If you like a cup of coffee and a Danish in the morning, make yourself answer your mail (or whatever else can be dealt with first thing), then drink your coffee. The secret is conditioning: by attacking small tasks with anticipation, zeal and concentration you are teaching yourself to develop and focus your energy potential. And if it takes a candy bar, or a cup of coffee to do it, don’t be ashamed. Not everyone is born with the ability or discipline to use his or her full energy potential.

Freedom To Fly And Be The Real New You

People that are becoming free become hateful.

You may ask why is that Chad?

The reason is because there are changes going on these changes create fear and that fear comes out often as hatred. Hatefulness is a manifestation of fear. We are too vulnerable to be the strong person we will be when we are truly free. We can't fit in the box of being enslaved, but we are not free either. We are between destinations which cause us fear and frustration. This transition is difficult but necessary.

You will find freedom then be free forever. That past life will be gone forever never to have you like it use to have you again. Is that worth getting excited about? Is that worth exciting others to help them?

There are sometimes after affects. You've made it out of the past things that were so hard, you know you are free but the freedom does not feel quite as good as you thought it would. With that freedom comes responsibility and pressure to exist and flourish from the separation of that enslavement even if it was bad. It may take you years from really untangling from all that nasty mess that had you tied up. When you are still acting out in different ways because of the past mess then it's still attached to you. We need to define ourselves and our action in our new totally free life.

It's one battle to be free from the mess, and another to fill it with something that allows you to fly.

80/20 rule: Nothing in life is 100% what you want it to be. No one and nothing. The problem is we get use to the 80% we are getting and start focusing on the 20% we are not getting. That 20% becomes almost larger than the 80%. We need to focus on the parts of our life that are beautiful, the people that are beautiful, and the things that are beautiful. That 20% can get you leaving good things, and not appreciating and loving what you do have. When someone is disappointed in you maybe you should tell them 80/20.

Basic Steps to Achievement

Can achievement be broken down into steps? Well, it isn't always that clean and easy, but I do know that those who achieve great things usually go through much of the same process, with many of the items listed below as part of that process. So if you have been struggling with achievement, look through the following and internalize the thoughts presented. Then begin to apply them. You will be on the road to achieving your dream!

1. Dream it - Everything begins in the heart and mind. Every great achievement began in the mind of one person. They dared to dream, to believe that it was possible. Take some time to allow yourself to ask "What if?" Think big. Don't let negative thinking discourage you. You want to be a "dreamer." Dream of the possibilities for yourself, your family, and for others. If you had a dream that you let grow cold, re-ignite the dream! Fan the flames. Life is too short to let it go.

2. Believe it - Yes, your dream needs to be big. It needs to be something that is seemingly beyond your capabilities. But it also must be believable. You must be able to say that if certain things take place, if others help, if you work hard enough, though it is a big dream, it can still be done. Good example: A person with no college education can dream that he will build a 50 million-dollar a year company. That is big, but believable. Bad example: That a 90 year-old woman with arthritis will someday run a marathon in under 3 hours. It is big alright, but also impossible. She should instead focus on building a 50 million-dollar a year business! And she better get a move on!

3. See it - The great achievers have a habit. They "see" things. They picture themselves walking around their CEO office in their new 25 million-dollar corporate headquarters, even while they are sitting on a folding chair in their garage "headquarters." Great free-throw shooters in the NBA picture the ball going through the basket. PGA golfers picture the ball going straight down the fairway. World-class speakers picture themselves speaking with energy and emotion. All of this grooms the mind to control the body to carry out the dream.

4. Tell it - One reason many dreams never go anywhere is because the dreamer keeps it all to himself. It is a quiet dream that only lives inside of his mind. The one who wants to achieve their dream must tell that dream to many people. One reason: As we continually say it, we begin to believe it more and more. If we are talking about it then it must be possible. Another reason: It holds us accountable. When we have told others, it spurs us on to actually do it so we don't look foolish.

5. Plan it - Every dream must take the form of a plan. The old saying that you "get what you plan for" is so true. Your dream won't just happen. You need to sit down, on a regular basis, and plan out your strategy for achieving the dream. Think through all of the details. Break the whole plan down into small, workable parts. Then set a time frame for accomplishing each task on your "dream plan."

6. Work it - Boy, wouldn't life be grand if we could quit before this one! Unfortunately the successful are usually the hardest workers. While the rest of the world is sitting on their couch watching re-runs of Gilligan's Island, achievers are working on their goal - achieving their dream. I have an equation that I work with: Your short-term tasks, multiplied by time, equal your long-term accomplishments. If you work on it each day, eventually you will achieve your dream. War and Peace was written, in longhand, page by page.

7. Enjoy it - When you have reached your goal and you are living your dream, be sure to enjoy it. In fact, enjoy the trip too. Give yourself some rewards along the way. Give yourself a huge reward when you get there. Help others enjoy it. Be gracious and generous. Use your dream to better others. Then go back to number 1. And dream a little bigger this time!

Sub-Conscious Mind

Successful people use their minds as their ally. Big results big thoughts.

Your mind has to do something. It's either going to assist you in becoming successful or unsuccessful.

Conscious mind-awake mind.

Sub-conscious mind - (do these things and your life will change forever)
1. Takes you literally. Does not understand jokes. What you feed it is what it gets. Negative thoughts and comments from the peanut gallery are taken literally. It is being programmed all the time.

2. Operates from it's dominant programs. Whatever is stronger wins the tug of war.
Key elements to strengthen programs:
A. Vividness of the program. How clear and specific your desires are in your subconscious mind.
B. Repetition of the program.
C. Amount of emotion attached to the program. When you are speaking to yourself put some life behind it. It will speed up the process.
D. Expert effect. Who is giving you the program? If it is someone who you respect and is in a win win relationship with you it is easier to accept.

3. Your mind does not know the difference between something real and vividly imagined in your mind. Go into your imagination and think of the result you want. See it. Getting the check from the mail. Going to the bank. What you are doing with the money. Do this every night and sometime later whether it's weeks, months, and most of the time years it will take place. We can overcome any weakness by imagining the positive outcome.

4. Your subconscious mind does not understand time. Conscious mind does. Subconscious mind needs to be spoken to as if it's already happening, present tense. I am a millionaire, not one day I will be.

BELIEF

Knowing you should have a belief system rooted in success and abundance is one thing. Actually believing that success and abundance is yours is another. It is of absolute importance that you truly believe you have the ability to tap into your infinite wealth and prosperity. That belief should then line up with your attitude, words and actions. To see your deepest wants and desires come to fruition you must first start with your mindset.

To Have Everything You Want Actualize A Mindset Rooted In PositivityYour mindset, or belief system, is the determining factor in your success or failure. Why? Because, your beliefs are linked to your attitude, words and actions. What you believe to be the truth directly determines your attitude towards yourself and the world, the words you say and the actions you take. Think of this relationship as a tree. Your belief system is the roots of the tree. When your beliefs are rooted in negativity then it acts like a poison. The poison travels up into your trunk (your support or attitude) and weakens it. It keeps traveling into your branches (your words) and they begin to whither. Your branches support your leaves and fruit (your actions) and they rot and fall off. On the other hand, a mindset well-rooted in positivity delivers a healthy attitude, positive words and healthy actions. It creates a healthy tree that bears much fruit. Which would you rather have?
When you're out of harmony, you're out of money.

What do you really believe about wealth and prosperity? Do you think they exist? Do you believe they exist for you, or just for other people? Your attitude towards success determines your degree of success. You alone decide if you become prosperous. Now, I'd like for you to test yourself to see what you truly think about success. Take out a journal or notebook, write down these statements and complete them. You may write one sentence or you may write 10 pages. Whatever it takes for you to understand your true beliefs.

I know I should believe success and unlimited prosperity exists for everyone. But what I really believe is _______________________.

I know I should believe I deserve to have everything I want. But what I really believe is _______________________.

I know I should believe infinite abundance exists and opportunities are around me all of the time. But what I really believe is _____________.

I know I should believe that I am the only thing stopping me from accomplishing all of my goals. But what I really believe is _______________________.

I know I should believe successful people have to take action in order to see their dreams come true. But what I really believe is _______________________.

I know I should believe the only way to create the life I want is to persist in the face of rejection. But what I really believe is _______________________.

After going through this exercise you should be more aware of your real beliefs about success. Then you'll know what you need to change and you can begin to transform your mindset one belief at a time.

Presentations

Things that make a presentation fail:
1. Not being prepared.
2. Being boring.
3. Reading the slides but not looking at the audience.
4. Too repetitive.
5. Being disorganized.
6. The message does not connect. We need to share content valuable to them.

Best things we can do for a presentation:
1. Humor.
2. Vary styles.
3. Really know your material. Work as a team.
4. The message speaks to the priorities of the audience.
5. Jam pack it with value. More than what's expected.
6. Time efficient.

7 things to nail it.
1. The funneling process. (Going from a broad subject or problem to a more detailed solution and point that is taken away by the listener)
a. Determine the actions you want them to take.
b. Define the audience.
c. Brainstorm the needs. If we want people to share the message we need to think about what they are going to share.
d. Write down objectives.
e. Test our objectives. Let's make sure to verify that those objectives are on target.

2. Alleviate the four audience tensions.
a. Between audience and audience other members. They want to say hello to the others in the audience. Or maybe they don't know the others and we need to get all the formalities out of the way first.
b. Between the audience and the presenters. Up front give value so they know you have something to offer and can put that to rest.
c. Audience and the materials. Everyone is looking through all that stuff not listening. Layer the materials as you go.
d. Audience and the environment. The temperature, chairs, viewing angles, make sure it all works.

3. Trust transference. Trust of someone or something else builds trust into your message. Could be a book, quote, another person, research documents.

4. Business entertainment. Bring smiles to people's faces. Jokes, music, props, give-always, quizzes, and activities.

5. Verbal surveying. Ask them specifically what they want and then adjust to them.

6. Target polling. Ask them prior to the presentation what they want.

7. Audience closure. Closure to the different points and then transitions to the next. At the end is there an organized take away and action outline.

Winning in Sports and Business

In sports you can adjust just a little bit and reap incredible advances in results. Just because you are not getting the results you may want don't overhaul the whole system. Make small changes and keep plugging away. There is not that much difference from incredible failure and incredible success. Most of the time we have to tweak our attitude most of all and be patient with the numbers. We get down on ourselves because our expectations are higher for our recruiting then the results are at the beginning. We need to keep on moving forward with a positive attitude about where we will be, who we will become. It's an amazing thing!!!

When others criticize you I want you to look at where they are standing. Are they standing on the field playing the game of life or are they yelling down at you from the stands? It's easy to be a fair weather fan and reconcile why we decided not to do what it takes to play the game of life. Fans don't boo nobody's. You must be doing something finally to create a stir in others and that's a good sign. It's the person in the game of life that really counts.

Most people when they are rookies struggle. As they go through all these failures they continue to develop and get better. Maybe the rookie year does not earn the future MVP trophies, but the fact that they didn't quit and kept getting better is the foundation for those accolades. Press on, don't give up. Failure is the beautiful attempts towards getting better and succeeding.

We won't get respect by titles. We will earn respect by how we work each day. It's not the publicity that will win the titles but the results, both in sports and business.

People have come from all backgrounds and hardships to be successful in athletics and business. What excuses do you have? Don't make excuses accomplish dreams. Become who you are.

DREAM BIG

Most people that set goals aren't doing it right that's why they stop. If done properly you will always get what you want. We need to set a goal worthy of us. We are trading our life for a goal. Would we trade our life for a car, house, or some material possession? I doubt it. Many of us are trading our lives now for unworthy goals at jobs across the world. We have a chance almost an obligation to do more when given the opportunity that OurGV has gifted us with.

Earl Nightingale said, "Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal". Progressive means continually moving in an upwards direction. Not up and down backwards and forwards. An ideal is an idea that we've fallen in love with. I am grateful for the idea that has used me. We need to go after something that we love. Our intellect, emotions, and our physical body will go after the goal.

We have infinite potential. No one can guess what you're capable of doing. We all are human beings that have no end to what we can do. We set goals to find out what we're capable of and develop the best in us.

Usually our past thoughts control what we do but we'd rather be in control of ourselves. Many of us know how to do more than we currently are now but we're not thinking so we settle for far less. Goals. Past thoughts (paradigms) are the roadblocks that stand between us and our goals. Attaining your goals has nothing to do with age, sex, color, or anything else. The only thing is our past thoughts and paradigms controlling our present and future. Retirement age was dreamed up by someone in Germany years ago. How did they know? They didn't. What you've done in the past has nothing to do with it...Where we go from here.

3 levels of goals:
A - Goals we Know we can hit (present results). Most of us are afraid to fail. So we set goals we already know how to succeed. We've failed our whole life and gotten better at everything. If you don't fail you never move forward. Instead of climbing higher you'll be moving laterally on the same plane. We play it safe. Playing it safe can't win.

B - Goals we can think we can hit and plan to hit. If we knew everything between here and our goal we would not grow.

C - Fantasy goals. What we really want. We were taught since we were little to not be a dreamer. We get scared from adults and disciplined. Then we are told that some people are more creative than others, that is not true. Many of us have put a block on it and we stay with A and B goals. No one really knew how to accomplish a fantasy till after it was accomplished.

On the A level we are doing what all of our friends are doing. That's why we are with them at the current time. The law of attraction. They want us to win but they don't want us to leave to another level since they would be confronted to change themselves. There is no inspiration in this A level or support so we give up. We go back and forth between what we think we can do and what we currently know we can do. Then some plan out their goals and try to make it with level B. We keep going through what we know we can do or what we think and can plan to do and back and forth. We need to break free and Fantasize.

3 Stages of creation:
1. Fantasy. All great things were first a dream. Build a fantasy of what you want. Don't think about how you are going to get it. This is where good goal setting comes in. Everything we need is here we just need to know what we want. Maybe others brought you here but now we are ready to grow from here.

2. Theory. An idea we are starting to give serious thought to and take serious. Am I able to do this? Science would prove that you most likely can accomplish your fantasy. If others have accomplished great things scientifically you must be able as well. Theology of all kinds will share ideas of infinite potential. The question is am I willing? Willing to experience the discomfort, hurt, and sacrifice to make it happen. Are you willing to pay the price? Sacrifice is giving up something lower to receive something higher. We are able and we should be willing. Do it till you get it. When you're able and willing your theory turns into a goal. Now let this excitement internalize. Soak it up. Get emotionally involved. It will attract things to you that you need to make it happen. Get the belief up and watch things start to take shape in physical form. Once a goal moves into form it becomes a fact.

3. Fact. It takes place in our life.

If you can see it in your mind then you are capable to do it. No one is ready to receive it until they really believe it. Believe in your belief and it will create the fact. You are amazing. Think of your physical body and mental capacities you have it is truly amazing. Your central nervous system makes a computer look like a little toy.

Just like climbing a mountain or being successful at anything we need to take one step at at time. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

No Dream Too Big

To learn to dream look at other people's goals and dreams.

Money is not the issue. You are on your way to millions. What are you going to do with all that money?

Definite purpose

Once you have that dream don't be afraid about working towards it and finding ways that don't work. All struggles are opportunities to learn and grow. Without those growing opportunities we would be the same person we are today tomorrow. Mentors will be able to hold our hands and walk through these challenging times.

Watch out for the dream stealers. Start to cut back from time spent with people that are not supportive. Build the relationships with people that are helping you. We do get to pick our friends and close friends can become more rewarding than family. Everyone will even have a doubter really close to us. Don't feel like you need to share your dream with everyone. Lots of people will be jealous of your dream and lash out in different ways. Take the knife out of your back, heal the wound, and keep on going.

Leadership

Leadership is the art of using persuasive skills and the power of position to influence the attitudes and behaviors of others toward exceptional performance.

Leaders can handle change skillfully. High tolerance of ambiguity.

1900-1950 knowledge mass doubled. Now information was doubling every 5 years and getting less all the time. Some say by 2020 it will double every 35 days.

We have 3 choices to change:
1. Be positive.
2. Be negative.
3. Be apathetic.

Which do you think would help the most?

The pain not to change exceeds the pain to change and then we change.

We need to see the big picture.

Vision-------->current assessment (where we are now)------->Action plan (what we put in place to make vision a reality)

We need to reconcile anything that is taking us in a different direction than our vision.

Compliance (people do the things they need to be doing to be successful) <-------------->Commitment ( we need to be committed at the same time )

It has to be both for momentum to occur not one or the other.

Leadership style should not just happen based on our influences although it mainly does. We need to put some planning and thought into it.

Autocratic style-they are leading tough and the people following are doing so under duress.
Participatory style-there is a flow of communication back and forth.

Good leadership style
1. Interact and be available to all. (don't do the "LAZ approach" Leave alone and the zap) Find them doing things right.
2. Recognize recent achievements.
3. Frequently mention visions and make them feel apart of it.
4. Make promises sparingly but when done always keep them.
5. Critique performance when necessary. When things are not going right let them know in a timely manner. Surround the critique with positives.
6. Respect your people and ask what you can do to help.
7. Reject pettiness. Don't let them bring you all kinds of little issues.
8. Build a strong focused team. The team will always be stronger than the individual.

Leadership is what makes the difference not the players or the game.

Acres of Diamonds

True story

There once was an African farmer who heard stories of other farmers finding diamond fields. He decided to join them and sold his farm.

After looking for years and years for the highly valuable diamonds and finding none he threw himself in a river and drowned.

Back at the farm the man who bought it was crossing the stream on the property and saw a flickering light coming through a stone on the streams ground. He picked it up noticing it's beauty and put it on his mantle as an interesting curiosity.

A few weeks later a guest noticed the stone and picked it up and nearly fainted as he realized what it was he asked the farmer if he knew what it was. He had not but what he had found was one of the biggest diamonds ever in the world. The farmer said they were all over the creek bottom. It turned out this farm had the most diamonds on the African continent.

This new farmer had bought it for close to nothing from the first one as he went off to chase a dream of finding diamonds. If he had taken time to research and learn what diamonds looked like in their rough state and to study the piece of land he already had he could have discovered them.

Each of us are in the middle of our own acres of diamonds if we'd only explore ourselves we'd find all the results we seek. Our pastures are green we only have to care for them. We can't waste our time looking from one place to the next without taking care of ourself. Your mind is your richest resource. What your doing is the best thing for you to be doing that's why you're here. Many people struggle and hop from career to career, or opportunity to opportunity. You are here for a reason. Max yourself out in all your efforts to discover all the success you can. Now we just need to research study and explore our own business and find the diamonds all over.

We need to proceed as if there are no limits to our abilities.

Law of Leverage

Law of leverage-we are less likely to fail the more people we tell we are going to succeed. When we go on record and put ourselves on the hook.

The people helping us with our goals are doing more for our business currently than any person.

Picking dates drive the disciplines that secure our destiny.

Sharing those dates will help if we feel like we can't slide on those commitments. That accountability helps us follow through on all our goals and dreams. We need to value being around people that help us stay on task with our ambitions.

Leverage:
L-Love...What you are doing because it is helping your dreams. Don't just look at the act as something you must love but where accomplishing that act successfully will bring you to.

E-Equip...Gives you the tools to follow through on the commitments you've made.

V-View...View yourself as you can be. Treat people and yourself of what you will be in the future not what we are today. Leverage will help create these possibilities.

E-Embrace...Embrace the changes that are necessary to create the better results. If we don't change we will be where we are now but only later. Change is inevitable, approach, people, everything.

R-Reach your goals more regularly. Leverage will make those goals bigger and focused.

A-Analyze what's working and what's not.

G-Give up to go up. Make the sacrifices now to play later. Leverage keeps us going forward and sacrificing short term.

E-Engage in accountability. Show me who you frequent and I can tell you who you are.

Employ leverage in 3 areas:
1. To the goal sheets. Put these down so they are committed to you. Review these on a regular basis. Self-discipline yourself into thinking into acting instead of hoping your actions help your thinking. Make dates to follow through with your goals. A dream with a deadline put the right pressure on you to find a way to follow through instead of finding excuses.

2. Associate leverage. Ask for help from qualified people (your expert, spouse, close friends) who can hold you accountable. True help holds you accountable for actions outside of your comfort zone. This has been known to change lives when implemented and embraced over time.

3. Professional leverage. When the top of the company helps you with your accountability. Don't just wait to stumble into these relationships seek them out.

This all begins with you. When do you want to make these changes? When do you want to not only think or talk about things but do them? We need to take action and make ourselves vulnerable in ways that help us learn and grow. Create the goals with dates, partner these ideas with people that will hold us accountable.
