Chad Schapiro: Empty Boxes And Orders
There are two types of sales people. The first type is called the 'It Is Not My Fault Salesperson' and will routinely bring back excuses on why they didn't make the sale. The second type is the 'Empty Boxes and Orders Salesperson'. This sales professional is given that name because that is routinely what they bring back – empty boxes that used to hold product and back orders for more product. Now we don't have boxes or products that go in boxes but I think you get the idea.
If you are in sales you must decide which group you will fall into. Now, does this mean that if you are an 'Empty Boxes and Orders Salesperson' that you will one hundred percent of the time bring back empty boxes and orders? Of course not, every now and then you will bring back boxes of product and no orders. You will have times when it seems like you can't sign up an affiliate that loves non-profits and can't wait to work from home. However, because you are not the 'It is Not My Fault Salesperson' you refuse to allow yourself to make excuses or blame the situation or prospect for the lack of sales. Instead, you ask the question – What could I have done differently to earn the relationship? What could I have said that I didn't say that might have caused them to move to action?
When you shift the responsibility for making the sale from the prospect to yourself you are shifting your mindset from a victim of sales to a creator of sales. Victims of the sales environment have skinny kids and empty bank accounts. Creators of a positive sales environment take their kids on exotic vacations and need their own personal banker to handle all the money.
I use to sign up more people than anyone in the office. When the day was over I would tell everyone that I thought I could have done a few things differently to get more the next day. People would look at me and say,"how could you have done any better? You were great and created excitement with every person in the room!' I kind of smiled and said, 'Yeah, I guess you are right.'But you know what? That is just my attitude, after every sales presentation that I give I always ask the question, 'How could I have done more? How could I have created more awareness?' In other words, what can I do to get better.
The 'It Is Not My Fault Salesperson' refuses to ask those probing questions of themselves because in doing so they are admitting that they alone are responsible for the outcome of their income.Take responsibility for your numbers and results and I can't wait until you are bringing back empty boxes and orders more often than not!

Chad Schapiro: Keys To Success
• THINK about what you THINK ABOUT… and if you catch yourself thinking about unhappiness, ill health and adversity, "change the channel" and think about what you want to happen!
• When something happens by chance, follow up. Lucky people tend to notice and act on good things that occur by happenstance.
• Believe that good things will happen. Expectations have a way of coming true.
• When bad things happen, look for the bright side; i.e., "what did I learn from that?" or, "how do I keep it from happening again?" Don't dwell on it, move on!
.• Don't look for love in the wrong places… not just romantic love, but the love of "stuff." Stuff is O.K., but understand the delusion of "I'll be happy when I have this or that… or, when I live over there, or when this happens." Happiness is a state of mind in which our thinking is pleasant most of the time.
• Failure is a CHOICE made by the undisciplined. Failing to meet your objectives, regardless of what they are, is a choice, because something else has been given higher priority. If you fail, it is because you choose to fail.
• You don't "catch" depression and you don't "catch" happiness… you "create" it by the "thoughts" you put into your mind. Carefully choose what you read, listen to, and the people with whom you associate.

Chad Schapiro: ADVANCED TRAINING
INCREDIBLE TRAINING!! DO NOT MISS THE NEXT ONE!!
I was taught a long time ago that if we want things to change we have to change. If we want things to get better we have to get better.
So many of us want to put the responsibility for our success on the shoulders of anyone and everyone besides ourselves. We look to a company, a person, the country, or anything else to be the reason why we will be successful or as the reason why we are currently struggling.
The reality is its our life and we got ourselves here and we will be the ones who either improve it incredibly, fall backwards more, or stay the same as we are today. Do you want to go forward? Do you want to have more income, more freedom, more excitement, help more people?
The answer is probably yes and you can do all that and more. We just have to be willing to forge ahead and learn to be more than we are now. Make sure you are giving yourself that opportunity by registering for the next advanced training. Don't be someone who just waits for success. Go out and get it!!

Chad Schapiro: Bank Account
Bank Account
A 92-year-old, petite, well-poised and proud man, who is fully dressed each morning by eight o'clock, with his hair fashionably coifed and shaved perfectly, even though he is legally blind, moved to a nursing home today. His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary.
After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home, he smiled sweetly when told his room wasready. As he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual description of his tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been hung on his window.
"I love it," he stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having just been presented with a new puppy.
"Mr. Jones, you haven't seen the room; just wait."
"That doesn't have anything to do with it," he replied.
"Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my room or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged ... it's how I arrange my mind. I already decided to love it. It's a decision I make every morning when I wake up. I have a choice; I can spend the day in bedrecounting the difficulty I have with the p arts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed and be thankful for the ones that do.Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open, I'll focus on the new day and all the happy memories I've stored away. Just for this time in my life.Old age is like a bank account. You withdraw from what you've put in.So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank account of memories! Thank you for your part in filling my Memory bank. I am still depositing."
Remember the five simple rules to behappy:
1. Free your heart from hatred.
2. Free your mind from worries.
3 Live simply.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less.

Chad Schapiro: DREAM BIG
I want to encourage you not to limit your vision in any way. Let it be as big as it is. Dave Liniger, the CEO of RE/MAX, the country's largest real estate company said, "Always dream big dreams. Big dreams attract big people." General Wesley Clark recently said, "It doesn't take any more energy to create a big dream than it does to create a little one." My experience is that one of the few differences between the superachievers and the rest of the world is that the superachievers simply dream bigger. John F. Kennedy dreamed of putting a man on the moon. Martin Luther King Jr. dreamed of a country free of prejudice and injustice. Bill Gates dreams of a world in which every home has a computer that is connected to the Internet. Buckminster Fuller dreamed of a world where everybody had access to electrical power.
These high achievers see the world from a whole different perspective — as a place where amazing things can happen, where billions of lives can be improved, where new technology can change the way we live, and where the world's resources can be leveraged for the greatest possible mutual gain. They believe anything is possible, and they believe they have an integral part in creating it.
HOW DO YOU AND I DO SOMETHING BIG??
You accept yourself for the person you are, with good points and bad points, with strengths and weaknesses, and with the normal problems of a human being. When you develop the ability on a conscious level to stand back and look at yourself honestly, and to admit to others that you may not be perfect but you’re all you’ve got, you start to enjoy a heightened sense of self-acceptance.
Do An Inventory of Your Accomplishments
A valuable exercise for developing higher levels of self-acceptance involves doing an inventory of yourself. In doing this inventory, your job is to maximize the positive and minimize the negative. Think of your unique talents and abilities. Think of your core skills, the things that you do exceptionally well that account for your success in your profession and in your personal life right now. List all of them and take nothing for granted. You are an amazing person and now is the time go focus on those incredible parts that make you you.
Think About Your Future
Think about your future possibilities and the fact that your potential is virtually unlimited. You can do what you want to do and go where you want to go. You can be the person you want to be. You can set large and small goals and make plans and move step-by-step, progressively toward their realization. There are no obstacles to what you can accomplish except the obstacles that you create in your mind.
We are doing incredible life changing things and you are a GIGANTIC PART OF THAT!! DREAM BIG!!

Chad Schapiro: Develop The Ambition
Where does true ambition come from? There is really only one place and that place is within your heart. In every thought, movement, and your every motivation you will find your ambition blooming as an expression of who you truly are, your self-expression.
Isn't self-expression really self-direction? How you do things, how you move, how you motivate yourself. Ambition is a result of self-direction, and self-direction is a key principle necessary for building ambition. Positive self-direction says, "I know who I am and where I want to go. I am in charge of gathering the information necessary, the feelings needed, knowledge, and experiences to prepare me for the opportunities ahead." If you know where you are going you will have already started learning in that direction. Working on your attitude, confidence, discipline, work ethic, time management skills and all that it would take to make your goals a reality. And you constantly see yourself in the place you want to be, going in the direction you want to go.
Your direction will determine your destination. Driving in a certain direction will determine your destination just as you have control over your daily disciplines. So you must ask yourself, "Are all of my disciplines that I currently have taking me in the direction I would like to go?" Am I positive enough? Am I a visionary? Am I giving love and energy to others? Do I work hard enough to create the momentum I need? Do I spend enough time that my goals ask for? Do I invest enough money that I need to? Do I grow out of my different comfort zones that have me stuck at the level I am now? What a good question to ask yourself at the beginning of every month, week, day, and moment. Most people unfortunately kid themselves. They don't have the disciplines yet that it would take to accomplish the goals they have on paper but they defend their actions and try not to change things going forward. You can kid your neighbor, your parents, your expert, even me, but don't kid yourself. Fingers crossed hoping that somehow you will get lucky and become successful. Don't do that. Make sure you are developing into the disciplines you will need to take you in the direction you want to go. Others have done it and so can you!

Chad Schapiro: BECOME MORE
Each of us has two choices to make about what we will do with our lives. The first choice we can make is to be less than we have the capacity to be. To earn less. To have less. To study less and think less. To try less and discipline ourselves less. These are the choices that lead to an empty life. These are the choices that, once made, lead to a life of constant frustration instead of a life of excitement and anticipation.
And the second choice? To do it all! To become all that we can possibly be. To study as much as we possibly can. To earn as much as we possibly can. To give and share as much as we possibly can. To strive and produce and accomplish as much as we possibly can. All of us have the choice. To do or not to do. To be or not to be. To be all or to be less or to be nothing at all.
Like the tree, it would be a great service to the world to stretch upward and outward to the full measure of our capabilities. Why not do all that we can, every moment that we can, the best that we can, for as long as we can?
Our ultimate life goal should be to create as much as our talent and ability and desire will permit. To settle for doing less than we could do is to fail in one of our greatest opportunities to benefit the rest of the world.
Results are the best measurement. Not conversation. Not excuses. Not justification. Results! And if our results are less than our potential suggests that they should be, then we must strive to become more today than we were the day before. The greatest rewards are always given to to those who bring great value to themselves and the world around them as a result of who and what they have become.

Chad Schapiro: Catch The Wave

I have picked up some valuable lessons--life lessons--from surfing. Not that I have ever surfed before, but I love the lessons. Here they are:
1. To surf you have to paddle out to deep enough water to catch a wave. LESSON - In life you will most likely NOT catch a wave of success by standing where you are. Get out of your comfortable area and get ready. Success is caught by working to get to a point where you can have a possibility to catch a wave of success.
2. When paddling out, waves will try to knock you back and off your board. To keep this from happening lay flat on your board, duck your head down, push the nose of the board down and dive into the wave with your board. LESSON - In life obstacles will be there to knock you down and back. You must dive into the obstacles... they can't be avoided.
3. It certainly helps to get advice from other surfers. LESSON - In life get a mentor who has achieved success and ask them how (Suggestion - when surfing don't use the word 'mentor'. It is not 'cool' and you will certainly be deemed the geek of the group).
4. You can't surf if you are tense... relax. LESSON - RELAX!!!
5. In order to stay on your board you must be balanced. LESSON - Make sure your life is balanced... work, play, health, mental and spiritual.
6. When you do finally catch a wave the tendency is to lean back but this will only result in a fall. Lean forward and you will keep your balance. LESSON - In life, often the natural reaction is to pull back or relax after success, but the only way to keep momentum is to lean forward and keep pressing on towards more success.
7. You are not going to catch a wave on your first try. It is hard... hard... hard for a beginner. LESSON - In life, don't give up.
Surfing looks fun and so is success - but both take work. The payoff in surfing is a 5-10 second wave to ride (that I have yet to experience) and in life it can be much more. So I am off to catch a wave, and here is wishing you a wave of success!

Chad Schapiro: Work Fast
We've all heard of being in the zone, state of flow, or any other description when all seems to be taking us towards success at an easier faster rate than usual. Where things seem more clear and we are even more competent and aware.
One of the key ways to get into this zone is to develop a sense of urgency. We've talked about this before in terms of closing the week or month strong and how it often relates to your recruiting. This however is directed at you for getting into this state more often. The key is to a desire and drive to get on with the task at hand quickly and get it done fast. This inner drive is an impatience that motivates you to get going and to keep going. It feels like the blood is pumping through your veins. The race is on but it's not against someone else it's against yourself.
With this higher activity level and urgency you develop a bias for action. You take action instead of just sitting around thinking and talking about what you are going to do. You are able to focus on what has to be done right now. Things that will help you towards your goal that you must take care of relentlessly moment by moment to get the long term results you desire.

Chad Schapiro: Get Off The Nail
One day a man was walking down the street on his way to work. As he walked down the street, there were dogs on just about every front porch and they all would bark as the man walked passed them. However, there was one dog that he remembered, because this dog was just sitting there and he was whimpering and whining and moaning, you know the little whimpering sounds dogs make when they are wounded or in some sort of pain. Well, this particular dog was just sitting there on the front porch making those sounds. The man was curious as to why this dog wasn't barking like the other dogs and why he was whimpering. He couldn't figure it out, so he just kept walking to work. The next day he was in the same situation where he was walking down the street and saw the dogs once again and this same dog that was moaning and groaning the other day was doing the same thing today and he just couldn't figure it out. Well, he walked passed for an entire week and everyday the dog would be there moaning and groaning. So, finally, the guy got fed up, he said, "let me find out what's going on." So he went and knocked on the door and a guy came out and said, "Yes, how may I help you?" He said, "Sir, is this your dog?" "Yes, that's my dog." "Well, what's wrong with him?" The owner of the dog said, "What do you mean?" "Well, he's been sitting here moaning and groaning, whimpering and whining for an entire week. The rest of the dogs are barking, your dog should be barking too, why is he moaning and groaning?" The owner said, "Well, he's actually sitting on a nail." And the guy said, "What! Your dog is sitting on a nail. Why doesn't he get off?" "Well, it just doesn't hurt him enough."
Wow! We all have comfort zones that we stay in because it is "easier" than growing and evolving. You know most people are like that dog sitting on a nail. I mean, sure, they would like to get off the nail, but what if they got off the nail and they hurt themselves or something? They never seem to stop to consider that maybe they would be healed, maybe they would be free, maybe they would be able to move about and discover some new and exciting options for their lives. But, noooooo. Instead, they just sit there on that nail because they're not sure what's going to happen if they get off. I mean, there are no guarantees of safety so to speak. Even though, it's not the best feeling in the world, sitting on a nail, I mean, it's not comfortable sitting on a nail, it kind of hurts, but at least they know what to expect. They know that they have $900 per week coming in so they can pay their bills and put food on the table and they can put some clothes on their back and a roof over their heads. You know, that's enough for most people. They may even get upset with you if you question their so called security, I mean, if invite them to an online presentation or tell them about a company that can give them some effective strategies for getting off nails, they may resent you for it. There is more security and more to life than that if we are willing to get out of our comfort zones and get busy. That is fine if they decide to stay there but you're different. You are willing to learn some effective nail removing strategies that could set you free because you and I both know that there is no such thing as security. Those same people maybe living on their credit cards, asking family and friends for extra money to get by now or in the future in their retirement years. Would you rather remove the nail now so you can live free of pain in the future? I know I would!!!

Chad Schapiro: Moment By Moment
When we were little we would grow bigger year after year, sometimes in spurts but our bodies were always growing. It may often seem like we were not growing at all if looked at moment by moment. That's how I would feel all the time about my personal growth. Like it wasn't happening at all. In reality I was driving myself crazy by trying to evaluate my growth way way too often and too soon. I ended up working like crazy for one full year and then saw a world of change within myself and where I had my business.
The key is to manage our daily agenda without trying to see if we took that big growth spurt. Daily discipline is the simple and harsh reality of success.
1. Make your future bigger than your past!! Ever notice that the front window of your car is bigger than your rear view mirror? It's because the past can help you a little but we must have a clear vision of where we are going to be safe. The past gives you little stepping stones to your desired future. The rest of your life is ahead of you so lets go get it!!! It comes moment by moment. Keep track of these moments in real time. Meaning the moments that you are living now. The past is already written but this next moment is being written as we speak. You are the author of all future moments!
2. Always make your contribution bigger than your reward. As you start to see success you will find so many blessings that you can get caught up in all of the praise, recognition, material possessions, and income. These are all great things but these rewards will never rise above the result of your life's contributions to others. Don't think about your stuff because you will limit it all, rather think about contributing more. Leading, inspiring, giving, loving, and all the rest to benefit others. You must give before you receive. Expect to serve before feeling like you deserve some kind of reward. Ask yourself each day, "who can I help today?". All consistent success is going to come through others. Lasting a big success will never come by yourself.
3. Get results more than applause. The top producers in anything strive to get better. No matter how successful they become they raise the bar to increase their goals and performance. Be more focused on growth than just goals. I love goals, but sometimes they can be too low and slow us down or too high and de-motivate us. Growth is a long consistent process that must be the main goal as we put the measurable things into place to help us along the way. We can not short-cut our own personal growth. We are going to have to go through our growth first before our income grows.
4. Make your gratitude greater than your success. We see the value in things and people through our proactive gratitude. Once we see the value in something we treat that thing with greater respect. People and things are drawn to where they are valued most. The world is attracted to gratitude making more of everything we want. Keep some record of everything you should be grateful for and do this continually.

Chad Schapiro: End Procrastination
Perseverance is the key to all success as gas is to driving your car. There will be times when we feel like we are spinning our wheels going no where but you will always get out of that rut with solid perseverance. Without it you won't be able to even start the car.
The opposite of perseverance is procrastination. Perseverance means you will never quit, you will do what it takes in the face of every adversity. Procrastination usually means that you never get started.
People make all kinds of excuses for their procrastination. "I'm a perfectionist." "If I do anything I do it 100%, all or nothing." "Everything has to be just right before I get started." "If I struggle or am uncomfortable something must not be right." Have you heard or said these things before?
These faults are being turned into things that are supposed to sound good. The perfectionist is trying to act like they are too good to struggle. Too good to grow through uncomfortable times of learning and growing. That they have already "arrived". That even though they will go to the bathroom sometime today and it won't be 100% of the day, that they think it sounds good that that is the only way they can take on a new endeavor. This is all just fancy defense mechanisms set up to make us fee good about our weaknesses, but in the end it's just excuses. The real reason for procrastination is not these feeble attempts but rather a fear of failure. That's what perfectionism really is. What's the difference of being afraid of being less than perfect or afraid of anything else? In each you're still stuck going nowhere. We are still being dominated by a negative vision that holds us back to do nothing. It is an unfortunate and convenient tool we all use.
How do you get around it? How do you turn procrastination into perseverance? It is really very simple and painless. But like all simple things to do they are simple to not do. Lets use these 2 techniques simply and pain free to change your life.
Number 1. Break it down.
People see the task at hand and they know it will not be a quick fix so they freak themselves out thinking about the long road in front of them. It could be anything. Weight loss, painting the house, retirement planning, and of course building their home based business. The key to any of these is to break it down into manageable pieces and then knock them off one at a time. Focus on this present moment and doing the best you can not thinking about the past or what is up in the future.
Suppose I was to ask you to sign up 300 affiliates. That would make most people to afraid to even start. What if instead I told you to sign up one affiliate today? That would seem easier. In less than 1 year you would have personally signed up over 300 affiliates. Seems easier but we may still freak ourselves out because we worry about doing it each day for the next 1 year. What if I told you don't look ahead at all but just do it today, not a week, month, or years, but just today. I would think most people would feel they can accomplish or learn to accomplish that, these people would be the same people that are feel incapable of doing the whole thing in 1 year or less.
If I said the same thing to you tomorrow, don't look back or forward just focus on today. Lets focus on being productive today, do you think you could take steps towards doing it?
One day at a time is the key. Break it down to day by day increments.
The second key is also very short and simple: write it down. We know how important goal setting is and keeping up with your daily goal sheets. If you focus on very short term goals you will conquer procrastination. Just as in really dieting if you right down what you ate each day you will be much more on top of your intake the same works for this key. Write down what you are doing with each 1/2 hour of your time. I know you will be amazed at how much downtime you really have that could be used to help you become more successful than anyone you've ever known. If it is inconvenient to write it down that second wait till later but keep track of it. This does not have to be in any fancy notebook just a running report on a piece of paper or spiral notebook. Keep track of this for at least a week and you will see some areas where you can take more action.
Break it down and write it down. Simple but powerful!!!!

Chad Schapiro: MAKE THINGS HAPPEN
Every adversity carries with it the seed of an equal or most times greater benefit. We are in control of our destiny because we are in control of our attitude.
The most important person in your world is you. As it should be. Each moment you have the choice like flipping a coin whether you are going to be positive or negative. For any and every occasion you can attract what is beautiful about that moment or repel things that make you happy. Don't blame anyone else for not helping you it is your choice. Simply keep your mind on the things you want rather than the things you don't. This maybe a new habit so don't get down on yourself if you can't do it 100% of the time right away. Take steps forward like any new habit so you will do it most of the time. The key to realize is it really is simple and you can do it.
One of our greatest gifts we have in life is our ability to work. We often look at it in such negativity but the reality is without it we would not be nearly as happy. Serving people is a deep part of our makeup as humans. That is expressed through our work. It doesn't mean you will always feel like you are helping others, in fact you may really help them after you've gotten good enough at the business to make 5k-10k per month or so, but at that moment you will realize that you can give them a world of change. In the meantime while you may not be at that income level you are like the doctor who is in undergrad learning to become someone who can serve people in the future. Who does their best to help out now wherever possible but understands they are only limited by there experience not ambition for making a difference.
When we don't feel like a success don't be surprised. Everyone in every field has felt that, especially when they were new. The reality is we need to develop an inspired dissatisfaction. Where we are motivated to change and grow to move ahead. Keep on working, your answer is in the future of your potential, how soon do you want to get to it?
Set high goals and then work on a burning desire to hit them. Your desire will not come from the reward at the end but in the satisfaction you learn to develop within yourself at becoming a goal seeking machine. Someone who thrives better at seeing a plan, working that plan, and achieving that plan. Anything else is really not in our nature and that's why we become dissatisfied and depressed.
We are put here to make things happen!!

Chad Schapiro: Bust Through The Comfort Zone
I have found that success in life is very similar to building muscle in the gym. If you are doing what you are comfortable with or can do easily you never will grow. You will never expand to reach your full potential. Growth only occurs in life when you are pushing yourself to something new. This could mean learning a foreign language, learning to play an instrument, conquering your fears or pursuing your life long dream of building a business, writing a play, authoring a book or talking to people that you normally would shy away from.
In order to reach higher levels of growth in our business we cannot expect to keep doing what we are already doing. Growth in life is going to come when you are pushing yourself to lift the weights of life that you can only lift with a spotter. This means that you should not be afraid to team up with others and rely on them in your effort to grow. If you are going to build muscle in the gym you are going to need to do two things: #1 Lift more weight; #2 Have a Spotter.
The answers for success in life are very similar. Sometimes a spotter in life could be your expert you work with. There is absolutely no doubt that they will push you to lift more weight and be there to spot you when you feel that you can't get the weight off your chest. They can see what is easy not to see about ourselves.

Chad Schapiro: The Key Question You Should Ask
The key question you should ask is "What is the most valuable use of my time, right now?" This is the question that dominates time management. This is the key to overcoming procrastination and becoming a highly productive person. Every hour of every day, there is an answer to this question. Your job is to ask yourself the question, over and over again, and to always be working on the answer to it, whatever it is. Do first things first and second things not at all. As Goethe said, "The things that matter most must never be at the mercy of the things that matter least." The more accurate your answers to this question, the easier it will be for you to set clear priorities, to overcome procrastination and to get started on that one activity that represents the most valuable use of your time.

Chad Schapiro: Enjoyment Is Between The Ears
I have been reminded that enjoyment does not come from any outside situation but rather inside ourselves. One would think that spending time in Disney would be one of the most fun and exciting times in ones week, month, and perhaps year. It has become even more apparent to me that working with others to help them realize truly who they can be and how to reach their full potential is more fun than anything Mickey can provide.
It really is on the inside where all enjoyment starts and ends. Keep that in mind as you do your work. Don't look at it as "work" but rather an expression of yourself giving others the opportunity to change their lives. Look at this moment as you have control, not the outside. You can make this moment feel good, exciting, fullfilled. The same way you control the feeling of this moment you also control the next one and the one after that, and so on....
The key is putting as much happiness together as possible so that we can spread that love to the others around. When we have something in our possession and overflowing then we have ample enough to give to others, and soon realize it never depletes but only expands by giving it away. We sow the seed of hope and love to others and we will allow them to see the vision that much more. When they see the vision and they take action with you you will then reap the rewards. When these rewards come fully into play is not up for you to decide.
You only control this moment and where it rests is between your ears. Of course following this same advice I will enjoy Mickey more than any kid could!!

Chad Schapiro: Feel Like A Winner
I believe we would all agree that having a winning feeling is the first thing to achieving outstanding results. A person can't possibly expect to win if they're constantly focusing on failure! The real secret here is to capture that winning feeling of success as often as you can to create the environment necessary to succeed.
If you've been a little down in the dumps, feeling insecure or perhaps not feeling as confident in your ability as you'd like, I have a great tip for you. My suggestion to anyone looking for a success track to run on, or to a person who is looking to get back on one, is to start capitalizing on short-term victories. That means specifically focus on tasks you can achieve daily. The principle is to start with an adversity over which you can succeed, and gradually take on more and more difficult tasks. Nothing succeeds like success.
Another technique used by many people in developing or maintaining a winning feeling is what we call the reflection method. Think back during a time where you were really successful at something... we all have times to which we can relate. It could have been a sale, learning something tough in the past, a contest, or anything. Each one of us can reflect back on a moment in time to recapture that winning feeling.
Professional sports coaches often replay winning games of the past for their team prior to a big game to stimulate and create a winning feeling!

Chad Schapiro: Earn While You Learn
1) SALES-I began my journey with sales, which of course dynamically changed my life back at age 18 trying to get people to invest in the stock market. The first year I didn't make any real money but learned about rejection. Prior to that I was a delivering pizza, bagging groceries, doing small jobs prior. I knew how to do those things, but it didn't pay well. But sales altered the course of my life, learning to present a valid product in the marketplace, talk about its benefits and get somebody to say "yes." Learning that it was ok to go though thousands of "no's" until someone said "YES". And then give them good service.
2) RECRUITING-Then came recruiting, how to expand my business, build an organization. We have all heard the question, is it better to have one person selling a $1000 or have 100 people selling $10? If you ask me, I'll take the 100 at $10. Recruiting, the ability to multiply your efforts, once mastered, is one of life and leadership's greatest time management resources. I then knew that my success had nothing to do with how many sales I could make. But came in leading and recruiting others.
3) ORGANIZING-Then I learned organizing. Keeping your own schedule can be difficult at times, but now you are having to balance multiple tasks and people to get maximum results. But you will find that the payoff is massive once you have learned to maximize each moment. Many of the skills necessary to make incredible income but the don't have enough time actually using those skills. Organizing their business and life allow more time in the important areas.
4) PROMOTION-Next is promotion. First it's this Tuesday, then it's Thursday, then it's the end of the month, the cruise promotion, etc.....You never know when it's going to click for someone to want or need to be a part of what you are doing, so having the offer or the special or the contest going when they're ready can make all the difference.
5) RECOGNITION-Then it's the recognition. Some people work harder for recognition than they do for money. It's the chance to belong. Getting people to do something that ordinarily on their own, they wouldn't think of doing. They could, but they don't think of it. You come along with a little promotion for this month or this quarter and everything changes for them, and I found that paid big money. It made them feel like the little successes mattered more than they would have without my encouragement.
6) COMMUNICATION-Then I learned communication. How to do the training, how to do the teaching, and probably the greatest gift of all is learning how to inspire with words. Inspire people to see themselves better than they are; all of those gifts, all of those skills. Being the voice that tells them they have made a wise decision and here's why. That they can become all they ever dreamed of and more!!! AND SO CAN YOU!

Chad Schapiro: Allow Setbacks To Motivate You
Many times, we look at high achievers and assume they had a string of lucky breaks or made it without much effort. Usually, the opposite is true, and the so-called superstar had an incredibly rough time before he or she attained any lasting success.
The feelings of doubt, worry, lack, or any other negative helps create and maintain the problem. It may motivate you more toward your own goals to know that some of the most famous and well-known people in modern times had to overcome as difficult obstacles as anyone before they finally reached the top. It takes persistence and total commitment to your goals, but it's possible! In fact to not do it would be a disservice to who you really are!

Chad Schapiro: How To Make It Happen
When we first put OurGV together it was not by accident. We followed a proven system that has been around for years and still follow that system to this day. We first laid down goals that we wanted to accomplish with the business. Then we laid out the plan to make those come about. We studied the plans of other successful businesses and kept to their successes and learned from their mistakes. We knew there would and will be problems as we go forward and look forward to overcoming them all. The most powerful time was the beginning, taking the first step!
No matter who we are I truly believe you can make it happen as long as you're willing to follow these steps:
1. Promise (Your Goal). What do you truly want? Commit to it. Not some wishy washy sometimes up sometimes down kind of commitment. But really claim it as yours and do what needs to be done, both the easy stuff and the difficult, to get it done. Get detailed on it, surround yourself with it, and start moving towards this mighty goal.
2. Plan (as detailed as possible). Are you following the plan? The plans that are laid out to help you are not meant to turn you away in fear but rather to lead you to where you are going. Choosing to not follow it will leave you with your past results, and failure by your own mistakes instead of learning from the mistakes of others.
3. Problem. There will be problems every step of the way. These will have to be overcome! It is not a question of whether or not there will be problems. When they come go kick their butts and rise above them. Look out for the next one and go beat that one too!
4. Power in the first step. The hardest time to beat any problem will be the first move to action. You can do it. Once you start moving forward you will find it easier. Take that step!
No matter who we are I truly believe you can make it happen as long as you're willing to follow these steps:

Chad Schapiro: What is success?

What is success? Many times people have some incredible fancy descriptions of the definition of success. Webster has it as "a favorable result, the gaining of wealth, fame, or power." I heard a much better definition. SUCCESS IS BETTER THAN IT WAS! I love it! You are a success if you have gotten into better shape than you were, made more phone calls than you did last week, didn't get down on yourself as much as before, or any other step forward that is now better than you were in the past. The reason why I love this definition is because there is no end to the journey. We always are going to be striving for better than it was in all areas. There is someone in the world that would look at your area of concentration and think you are already a success, and there are others in this world that could look at things you feel are successful and they themselves would not settle for that within their own lives. In this sense we learn that we can and will always be striving forward but true success is living up to the better than it was idea as we grow.
How do we have success in a given area come to us sooner than later?:
1. FOLLOW- Not some of the ideas but all of them. It is so funny to watch us all pick certain ideas that we are comfortable with and neglect the ones that are hard for us. We then think we are right on track with following even though we are leaving out gaping holes in our journey to success. We need to really learn and master the given area. This means changing out of what we do now that makes us feel so comfortable. If we already did it all correctly then wouldn't we be a success now?
2. REMEMBER THE HARD TIMES- We have been through ups and downs already. When we remember the times when we were down but found our way it can only build our confidence when we encounter the inevitable difficulties of the future. We often forget that it was you who made it through the past. It was you who had the strength and character to dig your way out. Don't forget!
3. REMEMBER THE GOOD TIMES- Many of us have had great times in our life as well. Times when we succeeded and produced. We forget those times and like to get down and magnify things that make us feel weak. Hold on to that one little success story. Allow that to be who you are. Focus on it so it attracts more just like it to you. Pretty soon you'll have them overflowing.
4. GIVE THANKS- Spread the gratefulness around to anyone and everyone. Allow others to share in how good you feel. This again will only attract more into your life.
This past Superbowl in football was a good sign of someone who went through adversity and succeeded. Tony Dungy is the coach of the Superbowl Champions Indianapolis Colts. Last year his son committed suicide. He stayed focused and following the pattern of successful people in the past that had gone through tough personal times. Looking back at the tough times and the good times he had allowed him to handle the incredible loss he felt for his son. In the end he gave his faith the credit for helping him through and winning the championship only 1 year later.

Chad Schapiro: Get After It!!
I once saw a demonstration at a conference where the presenter held up a a ten dollar bill and said he was selling it for one dollar for the next 10 seconds. The whole audience just stared at him for the first 8 seconds, until one person caught on and ran up and bought a $10 bill for only $1. Next, he held up a $20 and again, sold it for a $1 for the next 10 seconds. It still took almost the full 10 seconds before someone took the initiative to get out of their seat and take the free money. The rest of the audience just sat there. For some reason, most people are OK being the ones who sit around and watch everyone else actually do things. Who are you going to be today? The masses that sit in their seats, or the guy who simply walks up and takes whats waiting for you?

Chad Schapiro: Friends...not Sales
After you’ve launched your business, the day will come when it is time to start knocking on doors and selling. Calling leads, warm market, referrals and the like.
When that day comes, your first inclination will probably be to dash out to buy every book you can find about selling. If you can absorb all the powerful advice they contain from their powerful-looking authors, you will be signing people up quickly, right? Well maybe yes. But probably not.
You see, attempting to identify the traits of the perfect salesperson is a waste of time. All you need is to understand your own strengths and perfect them. I’ve been the top salesperson at every company where I’ve ever worked. I’ve won awards, grossed the highest profits and opened a lot of doors. And I did this by being true to myself - by understanding my instinctive talents and strengths and by becoming friends with everyone around me.
Sales is about having a good time and making as many friends as possible. So enjoy what you do. Because when you do, it shows and customers will buy, for a very simple reason:
People Want to Do Business with Their Friends
This is really simple. To make more sales, make more friends. That’s it. Just be likeable. If you do, your customers will buy from you over the next guy. I guarantee that even if you’re more expensive than the next gal or guy, they’ll be happy to pay for what you are sharing.
If you’re not likeable, then you really shouldn’t be in sales. You need to be in accounting or some other job where it doesn’t really matter if you’re liked.
Once you’ve established friendship, you’ll establish trust. You’ll be seen as an advisor. As a consultant. And you need to become a consultant to your affiliate. Not a salesperson. Not a rep. Not an account manager. A consultant. And the first step in becoming that trusted advisor, that consultant, is to first to become a friend.
The bottom line is that people do business with people they like and people they trust. The product or service is often secondary.
So talk friendly, not professionally. Listen to people and help them solve problems. If you are a real friend, you might never have to think about the word “selling” again.

Chad Schapiro: The "Best" Test by Chris Widener
Some time ago, I spoke to a group of salespeople in Kansas City as they kicked off their new team. It was exciting to see them get excited about making a difference through their work. The topic they assigned me was "Simply the Best." So as I prepared, I asked myself, "What characteristics would help someone pass the "Best" test? That is, what are the characteristics of those who become the "best" at what they do? Here are the thoughts I shared with them:
The Best are Optimists.
You can't get to the top if you don't think that there is a top or if you think you can't make it. One characteristic of those who reach the peak is that they always believe that things can get better or be done better. This pushes them on to be their best.
The Best have Vision.
They can see ahead of the pack. Their eyes aren't locked into the here and now. They see the bright future and what things will look like when they reach their destiny. While working hard for today, they live for the future! They do what Stephen Covey calls begin with the end in mind.
The Best Relentlessly Pursue Excellence.
The status quo is not for them. They want to be the best and experience the best. And that means giving their best. They go the extra mile so that in everything they do, in everything they say and think, they are striving for excellence.
The Best have a Life Long Habit of Personal Growth.
They don't want to stay at the level they are at. They want to grow in their work, their intellect, their spirituality, their relationships, and in every area of their life. And they discipline themselves to put themselves in situations wherein they grow. Personal growth doesn't "just happen." You choose to grow.
The Best Understand that They will be Pushed by the Competition - and They Welcome It.
Like the lead runner in the race who has someone on his heels, the best know that the competition is right behind them. They love it though because they know that the competition keeps them from becoming lazy and resting on their laurels. Instead, the competition pushes them to go faster and to achieve more - to remain the best by forging ahead.
The Best have a Quest for Leadership.
Someone has to lead - it may as well be the best! Those who attain it get there because they want to. They want to lead and help make a difference. And they want to be equipped with the skills necessary to lead others on to a better place. The Best Leave a Legacy. They aren't in it just for themselves, though they will surely reap the rewards of being the best. Rather, the build things that last beyond themselves, things that can be enjoyed by others as well.
The Best are Adept at the Two Most Important Pieces of Time and Personal Management: Prioritize and Execute. Just like weight loss boils down to eat right and exercise, personal management boils down to prioritize and execute. First, prioritize your activities. The important stuff goes on the top. Then, execute: do them. The best have habits and discipline that get them to the top by doing the best things and doing them first.
The Best Focus on Building Relationships.
Success does not come alone. Everyone who achieves much does it with the help of countless others. How do the Best get others to help them? They treat them right. They embrace them and help them. People become the best because they help other people, and people like them.
The Best Make no Excuses.
When they fail they admit it and move on. They get back up and do it right the next time. They let their actions speak loader than their words. They stand tall and do the right thing the next time. No excuses, just results.
The Best Understand that the Good is the Enemy of the Best.
Yes, they could say, "this is good." But that would mean they have settled for less than the best. Many people think that good is good. Good is not good. Good is the enemy because it keeps us from the best. Choose your side: the good or the best. The Best choose, you guessed it, the Best.
The Best Dare to Dream. While others live the mundane and settle into a life they never bargained for, a rut, the Best dream of a better life. And then they take the risks necessary to achieve their dreams. They live by Teddy Roosevelt's quote: Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs though checkered by failure, then to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the grey twilit that knows neither victory nor defeat.
Want to be the best at what you do? Take inventory on the above characteristics and then start moving to bring your life in line with the characteristics of the "best." Then when you get to the top you will know that you have passed the "Best" test.

Chad Schapiro: When Your Dream Is Big Enough...You Are Wealthy!!
What will keep you charging in your home business when you have a bad day?
Think about it. People in traditional businesses have two primary advantages over us affiliates:
#1) They have a lot of money invested; therefore, when they have a bad day, they are not likely to throw in the towel and quit. Sure they may think about it, but they will also think about the mortgage they have on their home, and the money they borrowed from friends and family members. This usually will keep them in their business even when someone returns the only product that they sold for the day or when they have to use their Visa to pay off MasterCard.
#2) They don’t have a job. That’s right, people who own their own traditional business usually don’t have a job to fall back on. They usually don’t say, “Well, I’m sick and tired of this stuff. I’m glad I got a job that is paying me $1,000 per week to fall back on.” Instead, they are out on a limb in an effort to make it happen. By the way, I once heard that on the limb is where the fruit is.
So what about you? You probably invested less than what it would cost for a week of rent in a restaurant with no food to get started in OurGV. And you probably still have a job, right? And if you don't have a job, most of your affiliates do, right? So what leverage can you have to help keep you charging full steam ahead when it seems like everything is going wrong?
Your Dream! That’s right, if your dream is big enough then the fear, rejection, embarrassment, and lack of home business know-how will not stop you. Instead, you will be empowered to keep charging ahead in the jungle so you can make it to the land of paradise. So find out what your Dream is and keep it in front of you when the going gets tough. You can use this technique to help keep your affiliates going too. When you’re sitting on the beaches of the world… You’ll be glad you did.

Chad Schapiro: DIFFICULTY IS THE BEST TEACHER
1. Whatever challenges you face, focus on the future rather than the past. Instead of worrying about who did what or who is to blame, focus on where you want to be and what you want to do. Get a clear mental image of your ideal successful future, and then take whatever action you can to begin moving in that direction. Let the past take care of itself, and get your mind, your thoughts, your mental images on the future.
2. Whenever you're faced with a difficulty, focus on the solution rather than on the problem. Think and talk about the ideal solution to the obstacle or setback, rather than wasting time rehashing and reflecting on the problem. Solutions are inherently positive, whereas problems are inherently negative. The instant that you begin thinking in terms of solutions, you become more positive and constructive.
3. Assume that something good is hidden within each difficulty or challenge. Lloyd Conant said it this way: "You don't earn the right to solve big problems until you have solved the small ones." In other words, the bigger the gift, the greater the success you have coming, the bigger the problem you will receive and must surmount.
4. Assume that whatever situation you are facing at the moment is exactly the right situation you need to ultimately be successful. The situation has been sent to you to help you learn something, to help you become better, to help you expand and grow. What good is it to think anything else?
5. In every challenge, look for a valuable lesson. Assume that every setback contains a lesson that is essential for you to learn. Only when you learn this lesson will you be smart enough and wise enough to go on and achieve the big goals that you have set for yourself. Again, since you can think about only one thing at a time, if you are busy looking for the lesson, you cannot simultaneously think about the difficulty or the obstacle. You will always find the lesson if you look for it.

Chad Schapiro: Winning Edge Concept
One of the most important concepts ever discovered in business is called the "winning edge concept." This concept or principle, states that, "small differences in ability can translate into enormous differences in results." What it means is that if you become just a little bit better in certain critical areas of selling, it can translate into enormous increases in sales. In fact, you may be on the verge of a major step forward in your sales results at this very moment just by learning and practicing something new and different to what you have done before.
If a horse comes in first by a nose, it wins ten times the prize money of the horse that comes in second, even though the difference is only a nose, or perhaps a couple of inches, in a photo finish.

Chad Schapiro: RESOLVE
Trying is failing with honor. Either do it or don't do it.
It is not enough just to have affirmations in our lives. We need for them to become affirmitive realizations through right action. What are you doing now in order to make your desired goal come true.
You may feel attacked on your way up. Mediocrity always attacks excellence. Celebrate others good as if it was your own good. That celebration helps attract more into your lives. It becomes a gift for you in your life.
Resolve says, "I will."
The mountain climber says, "I will climb the mountain. They've told me it's too high, it's too far, it's too steep, it's too rocky, it's too difficult. But it's my mountain. I will climb it. You'll soon see me waving from the top or you'll never see me, because unless I reach the peak, I'm not coming back." Who can argue with such resolve? When confronted with such iron-will determination, I can see Time, Fate and Circumstance calling a quick conference and deciding, "We might as well let him have his dream. He's said he's going to get there or die trying."
The best definition for "resolve" I've ever heard came from a schoolgirl in Foster City, California. I asked, "Who can tell me what "resolve" means?" Several hands went up, and I did get some pretty good definitions. But the last was the best. A shy girl from the back of the room got up and said with quiet intensity, "I think resolve means promising yourself you will never give up." That's it! That's the best definition I've ever heard: PROMISE YOURSELF YOU'LL NEVER GIVE UP.
Think about it! How long should a baby try to learn how to walk? How long would you give the average baby before you say, "That's it, you've had your chance"? You say that's crazy? Of course it is. Any mother would say, "My baby is going to keep trying until he learns how to walk!" No wonder everyone walks. There is a vital lesson in this. Ask yourself, "How long am I going to work to make my dreams come true?" I suggest you answer, "As long as it takes."

Chad Schapiro: Stay Positive
You ever feel like sometimes things are going smoothly in your life then all of a sudden things hit a down swing. People like Mike Tyson, Bill Clinton, Martha Stewart, they all were at the top of their game and then self-destructed. Anyone and everyone of us can do this and most likely has done it. The seed is there of self-destruction the key is not letting it grow.
Tips to not self-destructing:
1. Focus on the good!!! Not that there isn't ever bad. There will always be things we don't like or wish could be better. The key is to not focus on those things which only depress us more but rather focus on every little incredible thing we could be celebrating. That attracts those good things and more to our lives. Have you ever seen me do a presentation and have people ask wierd things? People leave? I could sit there and focus on why they aren't getting it, why they left and what I must have said to turn them away from the greatest business ever. Or rather I could focus on all the incredible people that are getting it and making gigantic strides to changing their lives for the better and helping millions of others. Which sounds more fun?
2. Think on the good!! What you focus on will turn into what you think about. Learning and growing with good nutrients. Taking in all the good we can so we train our thoughts.
3. Talk about good stuff!! Focus + thoughts + words = experience The more we share and spread good things the more they will come back to us. The more we are showing our thoughts are good. Have you ever seen a child mimic their surroundings?
The roller coaster of life happens. Don't get stuck focusing on the downtimes. If you really want them to change focus sooner and more intently on what you see above. Don't get mad at the plant for not showing you the fruit faster. Soon enough you will be on the other side when you are suppoesed to be and things will not seem as bad as they did before. Focus on those good things in your life and you will notice the downswings less. Focus on the good things in life and you may look at the downtimes as the beautiful gifts they are, in helping mold and shape you to be a better person and leader.

Chad Schapiro: Be What You Desire
Sometimes who we want to be and what we want to do are easy to think about, but harder to evolve into.
Remember this simple rule: Being and doing creates having.
Be an living example of the person you'd like to be.
Being starts with simply being that which you would like to become. Once you mediate and hold the belief within yourself that you are what you would like to be, you start becoming that very thing, from the inside out!
Living out what you would like to become transforms you. You already hold the traits within you that you would like to become. In fact, it wouldn't be possible to envision this new "person" you would like to be if you weren't actually able to achieve that very vision. Allow yourself to feel it. And allow yourself to believe it.
Goals are a preview of future events and experiences in your life. That is why we spend so much time on it. Laying out what we want our long term lives to look like and narrowing down the focus as tight as we can get it to daily and hourly goals. Remember the goals you have down are attainable. You will feel sometimes like you are not sure if you can acheive them however that is part of what is holding you back and not the reality of any situation. Everyone that has acheived their goals had to weed out those thoughts of doubt as well. They had to persevere in tought times, when all seemed doubtful and hopeless. Weed them out faster so you can rise faster!!
Make a list of everything you would like to be and do. Then, over the next few days, for each item on your list, take a few minutes and sit with each thought. Meditate on how you would feel being that person in that very place, having turned that vision into reality. Don't let any negative thought patterns or limiting talk (i.e. "you can't possibly be that!") force you to back down from envisioning this person you want to be. Just be still and let that thought warm you.
Then, as you hone in on that person you wish to be, ask yourself what practice or trait you can consciously incorporate that further embodies this "future person" into your reality today. That is the key. Don't just think about what you "want" your future to look like, "who" will you become inorder to attain those results. What kind of disciplines, happiness, attractiveness, etc...will you have within to manifest the result externally in your world.

Chad Schapiro: IT'S YOUR CHOICE
What is it you really want? Unfortunately, so many people haven't dreamed in so long they actually don't even know what they want any longer! You have got to stir up that dream inside of yourself. Your dreams and your destiny aren't determined by "CHANCE" but by "CHOICE"!
Most of us live life like a leaf floating down the river. Tossing and turning whichever way the current might take us. When we come close the water fall we finally take notice that we are going to crash and quickly start back paddling trying to change our fate. You are in control! It is your life!
You can have anything in life you want... if you know what you want! Do you remember in Alice in Wonderland, Alice asked the cat, "Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?" The cat answered, "That depends a great deal on where you want to go." Alice said, "Oh, I don't much care." He answered, "Then it really doesn't matter which way you go."
Which way do you want your life to go? What do you want? It's your choice! Quit blaming others for your disappointments! Make a quality decision to get up... and get going! Life goes on!
Renew your personal commitment to "Life". Renew your dreams. Renew your vision. Don't let time, circumstance, or catastrophe keep you from turning your life around. It's your choice!
You absolutely have to have a vision! Helen Keller once said..."The only thing worse than not having sight is not having vision."
Ancient scripture says... Without a vision the people perish! In Eby English, you'll shrivel up and die without a vision! If you don't know where you are going, how will you know when you get there?
Your vision must be effective, clear, challenging and inspiring to be valid.
Where are you going? Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." Never let anybody steal your dream or vision!
Life's results are not by chance... but by choice!
What is your vision? Are you paying the price that it calls for?

Chad Schapiro: Focus on what's beautiful
Thoughts, feelings, and actions all have to be moving forward to attain the results. Many of us have heard that "THOUGHTS ARE THINGS" but we have to act relentlessly on those feelings and thoughts in order to produce a result.
To create a new result in our life we have to be grateful for what we already have. Appreciate what is there now which helps attract more of those good things into our lives. So many of us focus on what is wrong with our lives now, and what we would desire for our futures. That makes us feel worse often about our current situation.
Your thoughts are like placing an order at a restaurant. What you order is what you will get back. Often we have unconscious fears and doubts that are dominating our thoughts. Our unconscious can be trained by controlling our conscious thoughts. This is where being grateful, which we all know we can be, is the key for us training our unconscious.
How are you doing? You can't say you are hanging in there or something borderline negative. Make sure you are telling yourself and others that you are doing amazing. You are doing amazing because you are focusing on the things you have to be grateful for in life.
Much of this gratefulness in attained from learning how to forgive. From not carrying the resentment of past hurts with us each day. Those feelings help bring us down and then we attract more down things into our lives. True forgiveness is giving up the hope that the past could have been different. We need to truly be able to say, "thank you for giving me that experience and making me who I am today, that is now a gift that allows me to help others." There are hidden gifts all the time that we can find and focus on. What is this stress here to teach me? Forgive and give thanks for the growth opportunity. Once we forgive them and go on with our lives we are free to focus on what we can be grateful for. We want to get certain things in life but still keep our old stuff. We have to let go to create the space for the new.
I am the first example of how the world is supposed to love me. We need to love ourselves first. We teach others how to treat us. We need to show up understanding our greatness so the world knows who we are.
Even losing weight we should be thankful for the working parts of our health. How does that feel? Our goal is to become more healthy and whole, focusing on that will bring more of it into our lives. Do you have the right to be healthy, successful, etc...? I choose today to give myself the best life ever!!!!! How can I serve? Visualization board of pictures you want your life to look like, a gratitude journal to remind yourself of how much you have to be thankful for...These are some tools.

Is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die...It only hurts the person who is taking it into their mind.

Chad Schapiro: THE D WORD
I got what I consider to be a high compliment from a friend of mine who told me I was very disciplined. And I guess it fits — over the years I've come to the conclusion that the old saying is true: Either I pay the price of discipline or the price of regret.
This was not a sudden revelation — it occurred over time. And it wasn't always the case — in the past I was a pretty "normal" guy who just went along in life, neither excelling nor failing, just getting by. But this way of living was eating away at me — I asked myself, "Why is it that a lot of people are way ahead of me in life when I am at least as smart and talented as they are?" And it dawned on me that these people had decided where they wanted to go in life, and then developed the discipline to get there, whereas I had not decided where I wanted to go, which led me to where I was at the time ... NOWHERE.
I became more disciplined in my focus, studying, health, gratefulness, and giving. All of these are planned out in my goals that make up my life on a daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and lifetime basis. This has not always been easy nor my natural way of doing things. But I'm sure glad to be SOMEWHERE THAN NOWHERE!!
I guess it boils down to not fearing the "D" word — I mistakenly thought that being disciplined would mean I would have to force myself to do things I hated to do, rather than enjoying them. And that came from a fear of the "C" word — Commitment. At some point it dawned on me that I was afraid to commit because I thought that if I made a commitment, I'd be trapped. What I came to realize is that I was trapped by my lack of commitment — once I got clear on what I wanted, and decided to do what it takes to get it, I was free.
That clarity also allowed me the assertiveness to say NO to anything that didn't fit with my purpose and say YES to everything that did. This turned "Discipline" into a couple of other "D" words: Determination and Dedication — qualities that I needed to be a winner in the game of life. Having lived on both sides of the fence, there's NO WAY I'd go back. Make sense?

Chad Schapiro: What does it take to win?

This is an article about the Indianapolis Colts and their main player Peyton Manning. Many years ago they weren't sure whether to add Peyton to the team or take a different player. They both had incredible physical skills, but something else separated them. One is a Super Bowl MVP, the other does not even play anymore.
Talk about making the right personnel decisions. Moore talked at the Super Bowl about how tough the Colts' decision was whether to take Ryan Leaf of Washington State or Peyton Manning of Tennessee with their first draft choice in 1999. The scouting services had Leaf ranked No. 1. "Well, you know, we worked both of them out. We went down to Knoxville and worked Peyton out and went to Pullman, Washington, or Washington State actually, where Ryan Leaf went to school," Moore said. "Bill Polian [team general manager] made the right decision, and we're very, very fortunate and very, very happy."
Leaf was drafted by San Diego and was out of football after four years and virtually no success.
Moore joined the Colts staff the year that Manning was drafted so he has been with the star quarterback from day one.
Asked about the key to Manning's success, Moore said: "Well, I think it's, No. 1, his great ability, but he takes that ability to another level with his dedication, with his work ethic. You know he's constantly trying to improve himself, to get better. He's really never satisfied, so he continues to work."

Chad Schapiro: Become A Top Performer
Top performers have an excellent work ethic and focus. In sports, if you were to ask, who in their respective sport has been a dominant figure, three immediately come to my mind - Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan and Wayne Gretsky. Beyond their remarkable ability and talent, there is also something about these three that help propel them into greatness - their fierce drive to be their personal best and their incredible work ethic. How do you beat the most talented person in the world when they will also out work you and have a "will to win" that is not to be exceeded? Well, the same is true in business. The top performers do not get complacent. They do not rest on their past success. And they don't decide that because they are doing well or are on top that that is good enough. Their work ethic and drive to be their personal best has allowed previous victories and momentum to carry over into more success (even in difficult times).
These individuals have made a commitment to succeed. Making a decision is the prerequisite to all successes. All good things are upstream, but the natural tendency is downstream. Commitment creates the mindset that allows us to face challenges, shut out negative circumstances and discomfort and then move upstream towards our goals.

Chad Schapiro: Keys To Victory!!
• Don’t look for love in the wrong places… not just romantic love, but the love of "stuff." Stuff is O.K., but understand the delusion of "I'll be happy when I have this or that… or, when I live over there, or when this happens." Happiness is a state of mind in which our thinking is pleasant most of the time.
• Failure is a CHOICE made by the undisciplined. Failing to meet your objectives, regardless of what they are, is a choice, because something else has been given higher priority. If you fail, it is because you choose to fail.
• You don't "catch" depression and you don't "catch" happiness…you "create" it by the "thoughts" you put into your mind. Carefully choose what you read, listen to, and the people with whom you associate.

Chad Schapiro: Find The Right People
Our business is more about recruiting and sorting out people than most of us would think when we are new. People that are successful not only want to help people grow and change but they look for the people relentlessly that are open to doing just that! So many times I would frustrate myself because I would be trying to produce with people that were really not that serious. Instead of getting excited about recruiting and sorting I would be down on myself because the people weren't doing anything. Obviously recruiting and sorting was new to me and like most things there would be a learning curve of stress that I would have to go through as I became better. I learned to embrace that part of the business as the key to making my dreams come true. We need to find the horse that wants to not only be led to the water but wants to take a nice long drink.
You can't buy people with the right attitude or train them to have it, at least not without spending a lot and having a lot of difficulty. You have to start with people with great attitudes and then retain them. What is good attitude? It's simple. An attitude is not merely a mindset. The way we recognize good attitude is by what people say and do. A positive attitude is when people speak and act in a positive way. What does a positive way mean? It means to be pleasant, uplifting, smiling, engaging, conversant and affirmative in speech and tone and manner. Individuals with a positive attitude carry their own brightness with them, and people nearby feel fortunate to be in their presence because their light shines. Positive people move to fix problems; they meet changes head-on as opposed to running away from them. They take personal responsibility and focus on solutions, not excuses. They are accountable. They do their work and keep their word. They look for what needs to be done and can be done instead of complaining about what can't be done. They move to correct problems and eliminate obstacles to achieving solid performance. They take the hand they're dealt and rarely, if ever, moan, groan, cry, or complain about what they have to do. They play the cards they're dealt and play them well (as if they had the winning hand at all times). If they find themselves is an uncontrollable situation, they adapt. If they are in a controllable situation, they work with it and use it to their advantage. Finally, they always sense the difference between a problem and a mere inconvenience.
Make sure you are working on your attitude since we attract who we are not what we want. And embrace the search for these people. It is not everyone, and it does not need to be. You will get better with the search the more you relax and grow with it.

Chad Schapiro: Create Value
There is ONE Word in OurGV that prospects seem to be glued to when they are listening to a presentation, or even an approach about anything regarding our business. It is the standard that all prospects measure anything they are looking at and they are considering working with the company.
The word is VALUE.
Remember this Success Formula...
No VALUE = No Volume
Volume will RARELY, if EVER, precede VALUE. And if it does, most of the time it will not work out long term. Value is a part of our life, and we must show value to the prospect in our Company, Cause, and Comp Plan.
No Value...No Volume, PERIOD.
Let me ask you a question: Would you buy a house that you saw no value in?
How about a car?
How about a thousand dollar suit?
Would you even buy a pair of shoes that you saw no value in?
I didn't think so. Neither would I.
And no one is going to be recruited, be a customer, refer you to a non-profit or anything that they see no value in for their life and future. It's ALL about Value.
People want to know what's in it for them. They want to know there is value for their lifestyle. Value in the Company, Cause, and Value in YOU.
Give the prospect REASONS and BENEFITS to be part of the team, or at least feel comfortable and confident in shopping and referring you to more prospects.
Is there value in shopping at one place and having thousands of stores, price comparison technology, special offers, a portion going to non-profits, saving money, convenience, etc...??? Is there value in helping a non-profit fundraise and supporting their mission statement? Is there value in working the business to create extra income, residual income, equity, higher income than they ever dreamed????
Remember: No Value = No Volume.
NO Exceptions.
The word is VALUE.

Chad Schapiro: CEO Q and A from Forms site
Q: I am so new. i have 4 preffered affiliates , 1 coodirnator w/ a preffered affiliate and 10 free affiliates. i am so unsure about what i am supposed to be doing with them since i am just getting the hang of what i am supposed to be doing. what do i do with them?? how do i respond to thier questions? do they get the a2sucess e-mails like i do? from "in over my head" can you help??
A: Great questions. The answer is to plug them into the system. The videos, this forms site ( http://forms.myiworldlink.com ) with the checklist, the online live trainings, all of this is intended not only for you and I but for a simple system when we sign people up. Part of that checklist will be a place for them to put in their email address to receive coaching emails, as well as areas to actively get their own non-profits and affiliates involved. You will see some don't pay attention to the process. That is not something you are doing wrong but more of an indicator as to their focus, teachability, and commitment to their business.
The number one mistake most make is thinking because they have some people that they are done. Now is the time to lead by example the most. I use to sign up about 30 people a week sometimes and noticed that was more help to my team than anything I ever could teach them. I would bring into the company an average of $20,000 in actual money, which then lead the way for them to do the same. People are watching...they are waiting for us to "earn" money. They say they want to see us making money but we all know that will never happen if we don't produce results first. We have to lead the way and set the pace. Our people will do what we do or less and since they are behind they may not take action immediately because there is some lag till they get it like there was for each of us. With that in mind we have to advance faster and stronger personally to help them!!!

Chad Schapiro: Can a poor person become wealthy?
Of course! The unique combination of desire, planning, effort and perseverance will always work its magic. The question is not whether the formula for success will work, but rather whether the person will work the formula. That is the unknown variable. That is the challenge that confronts us all. We can all go from wherever we are to wherever we want to be. No dream is impossible provided we first have the courage to believe in it.

Chad Schapiro: Pay The Price
Growing as a leader is terrific because that means we are also growing in our effectiveness and earning ability. With that growth there is a price....
1. Leaders get tested at each stage of growth.
2. The leaders goal is to pass these tests as fast as possible.
3. The testing will always come before the leader gets to advance.
4 The advance is getting to a higher level of effectiveness. Each higher level will take sacrifice but it is nothing compared to what is gained.
As we go through these "tests" we are like a weight lifter that loses the fat and gains the muscle with each painful step forward. Through these steps we lose the old self, the self that condemns, questions, and carries a low self-esteem. And we become the glorious, confident, incredible person we were meant to be.

Chad Schapiro: Everyone is a leader
It doesn't matter where we are in our lives or what we've done we are all leaders. Have you taught anyone anything? Have you driven in the car with others? Do you have any siblings? Have you ever been with a child? In all these cases we are in charge of managing and leading others. Our growth in this area is not only relevant to us and our lives but the lives of others are riding on it as well. We have got to forge ahead moment by moment forward to the benefit of the entire world, which starts but does not end with our world.
There are different types of leaders. The first 4 are not recommended but the last one is where it's at:
1. Reluctant Leader. They think they are not the leader and don't really want to be. It's tough for this person because without thinking about it they are missing the point that they are already leading others. Hopefully they will realize that this is part of life and be open to doing the best they can.
2. Tyrant Leader. A task master of sorts. They demand respect. When not respected they will lash out at you and expect people to shut up and do it.
3. Whining leader. They will lead but don't do it with any optimism and excitement. They are grumbling along the way and making it more difficult on everyone.
4. Micro-managing leader. Every little detail has got to go through them. This slows them down and the growth of their people.
5. Empowering leader!!! This leader loves to help all those involved. They work diligently with those that follow allowing them to go make mistakes and grow as they go.
How to be an empowering leader:
1. Lead. Take responsibility and lead yourself first. We've all heard the saying lead by example. We've also heard "jack of all trades, master of none". If we aren't producing the amount we would like our followers to produce then guess what we have got to do first and foremost. That's right leader ourselves with the focus on mastering our own high levels of production and then at that point focus on other parts of the business. I have seen so many people not produce enough themselves but get bogged down on doing different things themselves (training and managing others) that take the focus off their own production.
2. Recruit others. An empowering leader will never have enough talent around them. I use to think that when I have my team in place I could just kick back. I have now learned that there will always be an opening for bigger and greater things that recruiting other quality people will fill.
3. Train. Notice the order of things. We lead ourselves first and then we were able to focus on training others. We need to model what needs to be done and walk them through as simply as possible.
4. Empower. They need to feel encouraged to go out and do things on their own.
5. Support. When they make mistakes, when they get their emotions hurt, when they struggle we need to be there to support and love them. Notice the key word "when" and not "if". It has happened to us all and it will happen to them as well.
