Wealth Building

From testimonials and personal experience we have enough information to conclude that it is possible to design and live an extraordinary life.
Anything that has value:
1. Study
2. Practice
3. Teach

We get paid for bringing value to the marketplace (the people).
The value we bring is in:
1. The product or service
2. What we become.

We control ourself...not the companies product or service. Formal education will get you a job but self education will get you rich.
To learn we need to study the fundamentals. There is a small list. Maybe 6 or 7, nothing new they've been established for years.

Your income is primarily determined by your philosophy. At 5$ per hour the ladder goes up to lets say 32 million for one years work. If you just came here and started at the bottom how do you go to 6$?
1. Wait for the government to change the min. wage?
2. Wait for the company to pay you 6$..how long will that take?
3. Go on strike...demand it. That is being used around the country but often it doesn't help as much as the workers want. You can't use that idea to get rich.
4. Performance and productivity. I will work so hard, come early, stay late, produce more than everyone else. Perform so well that the company will be eager to pay me 6$. If we think in these terms the difference is dramatic.

Philosoply of wealth.... Find a way to serve many people. What can I give. Giving starts the receiving process. What can you give your people? Help enough people get what they want you can have everything that you want.

You can climb as high as you wish or want. How much property can you own in America? How much money can you earn? How many people can you help? We need to understand that it's easy not hard. Many people have decided it's hard making it harder. Some countries have less than $200/yr. annual income. That's hard. Others have it hard we should be thankful.
Simple fundamentals to climb...Learn to work harder on yourself than you do on your day to day tasks.

Capital

Capital is any value that you set aside to be invested in an enterprise that brings value to the marketplace hoping to make a profit.

Capital Money and Capital Time. Things that are to be invested for the future. Both can be multiplied if invested carefully. It's like seed corn that the farmer is going to plant. The seed corn is called capital. Would the farmer feed this corn to their family? No otherwise it would not multiply. Would he give it away? No. What about 15 hours of time? Would you waste it, or let someone steal it? No...It was meant to grow and multiply.

The Mind of Einstein

1. He had a mastermind group. He would ask ?'s often, some of them making him seem naive in many ways. These ?'s helped him continue learning and discovering. Most people without the ?'s being asked are left with the answers they have already. Which is more naive?
Young people are not afraid to ask these ?'s but as we get older we have the same ?'s but we don't want to seem like we don't know the answers.
"I despise the man who marches to the rank and file because he has been given a large brain by mistake where a spinal cord would surely suffice."
"Great spirits have always encountered mediocrity from those humans who have honestly and courageously used their own intelligence." We are foolish if we try and rest on our own intelligence.

2. Do you ever have stress in your life? Einstein would have stress and he would get to the piano and play, or read a book. He would divert his mind a little bit and come up with the answer. Distract yourself a little bit taking your emotions off the problem. Any problem no matter how big or small would block his brain from the solution. Even a penny held in front of our eye can limit our vision, but if we pull it away and hold it out it does not effect us as much.

His math equation for success...SUCCESS = X + Y + Z....X=WORK ( He was a tireless worker spending day after day of 14+ hours working)....Y=PLAY (we all have our own versions of play)....Z=KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT (ask ?'s listen and don't talk...You can make more friends in 5 mins. By listening to them then in 5 yrs. Trying to get people to listen to you).

3. He was a funny man. Great sense of humor. He could find humor in any situation no matter how bad or tense things were getting.

100 scientists came out against him and things he did wrong and wrote a book about it...He said "If I was really wrong 1 scientist would have been enough".
His driver new his talk so well that they changed clothes at one of his speaking engagements and the driver gave the speech at the school on science matters pretending he was Einstein wearing his clothes while Einstein put on the drivers outfit.
He held up a baby that started screaming and crying, he said " You are the first person in years who has actually told me what you thought of me."

4. Analogy from a bicycle. In order to keep your balance in life you have to keep moving. When we take a spill we have to get up and keep going. All successful people make mistakes everyday because we are active and doing things everyday.

5. He treated everyone the same...Very nice. They are all people.

IPRESENT

I - Involve your audience. Ask Questions. Ask them to write things down. If they are looking down off of you it gives you a breathing space to keep control.

P- Prepare your audience. 1. The invitation, make sure it's benefit-rich. Why they should be there. 2. Touch them before you talk. Shake hands. 3. Incorporate a strong speaker intro. Edify them. 4. Open with a solid payoff.
3 p's: Purpose, process, payoff

R - Research and have a presentation arsenal. 1. Mental arsenal - Gather things around us. Retain those things. 2. Hard copy- things we keep in our possession that we can pull. Like a magazine article. Email. Legal pad. 3. Electronic - computer or pda. 4. Material or props. Give aways

E - Explain the "why". Use words like "because" and "so that". It helps us explain it.

S - State management- make sure we are in the right mental state, and they are as well. Types of audience members: Vacationers, prisoners, spectators, graduates (know it all's). We want them to be students.

E - Eliminating the unknowns: know the set up, who's going to be there, all the pieces of the presentation.

N - Know your audience-survey them. Discuss with others who know our audience. Ask them ?'s

T - tailor your presentation. Planned spontaneity. Be flexible and ready to adjust.

Performance = Potential - Interference

Potential is not enough. We all have incredible potential. Interference will undermine potential.

Start with a picture of yourself succeeding. Live the life expecting you are going to get there. What does it look like right before you are going to hit your highest dream? There will be tons of interference. It will be at it's highest struggle and pressure point. To hit our goals we will have to go through those tough times first. The only thing that you do have control over is your thoughts. You don't get to pick the times your mind set should be strong. In sports it maybe the last seconds of the game that we will be tested the most and those times are when we are most tested. In business there will be critical times that your mindset should be there to help you hit your goals and that's when the training and education needs to be there to shape your habits in the right direction. Expect those moments, be ready for those moments, now is one of those moments.

Listening

Bill thought he had to know all the details of the products before he would effectively be able to make a sales presentation. Finally we said to him go out and take a pad and pen and study your customers. Don't explain anything about our products but only find out their needs. He then came back with the applications filled out with blank checks attached that had been signed by the customers. They were ready to buy the product whenever Bill would call them with the totals. Because he spent time studying and knowing his customers they built trust in him and after that was established being excited about the products was easy.

It will always help to keep up to date on the products and services, but it will never replace listening and building that trust and confidence of the potential affiliate, non-profit, merchant, or customer.

Gold Nuggets

Why are some people more successful than others? When they are new they run from place to place so they can be rejected more often.

Top salespeson, what are you doing different than me? Process. Follow the recipe and you prepare the dish. Everything is learnable. Anybody can learn them. Each time you do it you get better at it. Wealthy people found and learn a skill and do it over and over. Notice the learn part, the recipe must be learned. Phase 1 is that first skill that must be learned. Sales management is totally a new recipe and can be more effective once someone has a proven track record of successful personal selling. The first time many recipes don't work more than likely the first 5 or 10 times. Sometimes years after the recipe still doesn't taste great. The fax machine took 6 or 7 years. Cell phones 5-7 years. Computers the world market will have a few units. New recipes aren't always easy and then people give up. People who get their recipe from someone successful have more patience because they know that it will taste good if they keep it up because they got the same recipe as the successful person has. Cause and effect. Put in the right causes and you'll get the right effects. Find out the formula, something that can be replicated. Something that a less intelligent person does can be massively successful if they get that replicated formula down.

Always hard and mistakes at beginning and then people question the formula. This is the price nature demands for success. But all successful people have failed tons of times where others that are failures have not failed that often and quit. People struggle and talk themselves right out of doing what's necessary. Successful people keep on failing forward. Failure is not an option. That attitude makes it much easier. Become unstoppable!! Are there people that have had greater obstacles than you?

Nobody is better or smarter than you. They just learned the cause and effect formulas and kept with it. Weight training....pumps blood into your muscles and breaks capillaries and they rebuild. That's the way we pound on ourselves and grow and become better. We have to be excited to get bruised a bit.

8.2 million millionaires in US almost all of them self-made most started with nothing and built businesses. The people who did inherit got it from someone who started with nothing. Going bankrupt in America with these people usually means they are patted on the back and what business are you going to start now?

Secrets of self-made millionaires
  1. Dream Big Dreams.
  2. Don't make a decision. A real decision. Through thick and thin. Shut the door behind you. Failure is not an option.
  3. We procrastinate. Vacation to someday I'll. Say "I am a millionaire" now make that come true.
  4. Goals
  5. Learning

Asking Bill Gate's what question would you ask a person to see their potential for massive success? 1. What country are you from? 2. What level of education?

Self-education is better than formal learning for a number of reasons. Everything you've learned is desired by you and directly related to the task at hand.

Eat the frog. First thing you do when you get up is eat a live frog. If you did that then you know that the worst thing possible that could happen to you that day is already over. The same way you should handle your priority list. The thing that matters the most. If you have to eat 2 frogs eat the ugliest one first. If you have to eat it don't sit there looking at it it only becomes harder. If we can't handle our priorities in the order they should be we will always end up working for someone else and being supervised by someone who makes us do it.

Top sales people have top self esteem. They like themselves so they aren't worried about others liking them. Since they like themselves they like others too. People buy from people they like and tell others to buy from you. Keep saying throughout the day "I like myself". Help others like themselves. Make them feel important, appreciated, thanked, don't argue with them. All top sales people are nice people and treat others well. It's a genuine expression of our self-esteem. We need to work our self-esteem like a working out. Hit our goals each day and we build our confidence and it builds our self-esteem.

Law of incremental improvement. Small steps to success. Be prepared to put in the time. To become very good at what you do you will need to be excellent at what you do. There is no high pay for average performance. Mastery takes 7 years and 10,000 hours of hard work typically on average. The more time you spend on your business the faster those hours add up in whatever you are doing. Accounting, dentistry, construction, selling, anything takes time to really put that time in to attain mastery. You'll be 7 years older than now either way. Where do you want to be at that time? Some of us have already been through years at our other fields that will help contribute to this one. We maybe only a short time away if we really focus on mastering success with our business.

Businesses go broke like a ship hitting a rock. They don't know the path. Nothing else.

Everybody sells all the time. Even getting your kids to go to bed is selling.

Maintenance reading is stuff like this and the daily trainings. Advanced trainings are necessary to improve us to the much higher levels.

"Mom...Why are you so tough on me?"

"Honey if I'm tough on you life is going to be easy. If I'm easy on you life is going to be tough."

That message is important to us not only growing up but growing in our business. I knew making money would make things easier than the many people I saw struggling financially. I also knew if I had the right changes going on I would succeed faster. To make those changes I would need to be taught straightforward and to the point. The easy love may keep us doing the same things struggling ahead succeeding slower than we would like. Make sure to give your expert/mentor free reign to help you to success.

Basics

  1. Lead yourself first and foremost before you lead others.
  2. Think from the end. See yourself already there.
  3. Be an appreciator. Look for the value not the worthlessness. You will have more value.
  4. Understand resistance. We try and resist things that are necessary for us to embrace and grow with. That resistance is unhealthy and self-limiting.
  5. Be in a constant state of gratitude. Generous and grateful for all things in your life.
  6. Do not resolve a problem by condemning it. Be open and understanding in all conflict and problems.

Radiation Of Thought

A pebble tossed into a pond immediately upon striking the surface of the water sets up a series of ripples or small waves which spread out like a circle until they hit the shore and appear to stop. The larger the pebble the higher the waves. If there are 2 stones of different sizes and weights tossed in at the same time in different places but near each other it will create 2 different sets of waves converging on each other. Where they meet there will be a struggle to see which will overcome the other. If they are the same size it appears to cancel each other out and stop. But....if one is larger it will sweep over the smaller. This is similar to the strength and power of our thoughts. The power comes when the thought is strong. When our imagination can visualize the fulfillment of our ambition and see in our mind a picture of already attaining our goal as if it was already possessed it will be a strong thought. Our subconscious will do as it is told when properly directed by our conscious mind. This method of visualization is one of the main ways to help guide it.
