Image

Have you heard it's not what you know but who you know? That is great but more true is it's not who you know but who knows you and what they think about you.

This relates to image. Definition of image: a mental conception held in common by members of a group, symbolic of a basic attitude and orientation.

Always have a good elevator speech. If you didn't have much time, only 10 seconds, how would you describe you and what you do. We also need a cocktail party speech, a minute in length. We need to practice these, write them out and memorize them.

Image is not a constant but an always changing variable. We will always be getting better or not as good it won't be the exact same.

Some things need to be constants: integrity, professionalism.

Relational capital: who you know. Great friendships, business contacts, learning opportunities.

What do you want your image to be like? What is your projected self-image?

Image is based on 5 things:
1. How we look
2. What we say
3. How we say it
4. What we do
5. How we do it

As we project a better image we attract more positive things to us.

Image is a very fluid ever changing variable with each interaction. We need to be as successful and positive as we can possibly be.

Law of the Shareholder

Successful sales people by stock in themselves. Don't think of yourselves as employees but rather the owner and CEO. This will change the way we act and view our lives. This will lift our lid of limitations that we place on ourselves acting like an employee.

Doesn't matter where we are in our career, we won't reach our potential until we make this realization.

CEO mindset- we see ourselves as the business owner with a compelling vision to help people with what you do each day. CEO's invest in themselves, use every minute, concerned with results not just effort, quality, earning confidence and trust.
CEO won't let things get in their way scheduling your priorities. How you work is more important than anything about the company and it's services.

Investments that help you buy stock in yourself:
1. Time with those you care about.
2. Personal development. What is the plan to take care of your best asset, yourself. What areas need to be worked on and improved? Grow yourself and you will grow your business. How long in coaching site per day? How many live trainings? Make sure to be at every advanced training. Pay attention to experts. We will need coaching through our entire careers.
3. Watch every minute of time and make sure you are not wasting them. So many people communicate more things than necessary which takes time from them and others involved. Make sure your focus is on the goals at hand and that you are respecting the goals of those you are communicating with. Protecting your time will give you more time for other goals.
4. Focus on image. Look good and you will often feel good. You and your business must look good, friendly, and inviting.
5. Reinvest money in your business. The more the better. Many times people do not invest in their business as much or as long as a typical business person would. Many should have a part time job just to be able to fund their business properly until it is self-sufficient.
6. Exercise. Health will bring wealth.

There are no short cuts. Invest as much and as often as you can in yourself.

GOAL SETTING

High performers do things that produce results.

Goal setting:
1. They guide and direct our behavior
2. They give us focus which gives us clarity.
3. They give us hope. Hope brings out the best in us.
4. They cause us to organize ourselves and our resources.
5. They help bring us to the next level.

A goal is anything you want to do, be, have, or achieve.

Do we have to write them down or put them into the goal sheet each day? What if we don't? First off are we doing good hitting our goals in life without doing them? If we are (which most aren't) then imagine how good we would do if we wrote them down. It programs our subconscious mind.

In our society there are no unrealistic goals only unrealistic time frames for achieving those goals. We need a reasonable time frame.

We have a present self image of us at this very moment. We also have a projected self image where we will be in the future. We need a great exciting projected self image. That's where we get the passion to make things happen when we know that our present self image is not where our projected self image is in the future.

If you are casual about these processes you are going to be a casualty.

Go to the http://forms.myiworldlink.com and register for free. Watch all the goals videos. We need to focus on what has to be done today in the short term in order to start moving towards our long term goal and projected self image.

Let's look at where we are in each of these areas. To be rounded you should have career goals (how many free sign-ups, how many paid sites), physical (exercise), spiritual (study, prayer, meditation), education (how long we study each day), family (time, attention), finances (paying off debts, savings, net-worth), community (time, money), social (hobbies, clubs, organizations).

Now that we know where we are where would we like to be, what is our projected self image in each of these areas?

What would you try in your life if you knew you would not fail? Let's grow to the next level and then anything is possible.

Play Beautiful Music

Your mind is like a central processing unit in a large computer network. It is accessed, influenced and programmed by several operators, or sources. All data inputs affect and influence other data. All incoming information is immediately available to influence data being processed by any of the individual users. New information, whether true or false, can immediately alter operations in every other area.

Your subconscious mind is your central processing unit. Your main job in achieving any goal is to reprogram this unit so that what you think, feel and believe becomes the mental equivalent of exactly what you want to experience and enjoy.

The access ports to your subconscious are both internal and external. Internally, you are affected by your thoughts, your mental pictures or imagination and your feelings. Externally, you are influenced by your suggestive environment, by everything that registers on your conscious mind. You are affected by what you do, say, hear, see, read, watch, listen to and, especially, by the people you associate with and the conversations you participate in. Each of these influences can trigger or stimulate one or more of the other influences. All of them in combination have created, and are creating, the person you are today, and every aspect of your life.

When you think a thought, for any reason, if often triggers another thought, or even a stream of consciousness that takes you far away from the original thought. Your mind rushes on, like a torrent, carrying you toward your goals or away, depending on the amount of mental control you choose to exert.

Your thoughts trigger images or pictures consistent with them, and these images can lead from one to another and away from the thought that triggered them in the first place, or back toward it.

Thoughts or images trigger emotions of all kinds. Your feelings themselves trigger thoughts and images, which can then trigger additional feelings, and so on.

The thoughts you think, the images you hold, the feelings you experience trigger words and actions consistent with them. If you are thinking about your goals, if you can see your goals as already realize, and if this thought makes you feel positive and enthusiastic, you will speak positively and act effectively as you go through your day.

What you read can affect your thoughts, images, feelings, words and actions, and these can in turn influence what you read next. The people around you, your conversations, will influence how you speak, walk, talk, and behave.

The tapes you listen to in your car, the shows you watch on television, the online trainings, videos, advanced trainings and all things you do each day will all affect the person you become and they will, in turn, affect, multiply, diminish, increase and alter other influences and other stored information.

In addition to all of these factors, your past experiences, your reinforcement history, good or bad, colors your attitudes and perceptions toward everything that happens to you, and around you.

If this sounds tough and complicated it is. Your mind and your life are like a room full of musicians, all playing different instruments and different tunes, and all trying to get your attention. Amidst all this confusion, is it any wonder that the great majority feel that they are not in control of their lives? Is it any wonder that most people would rather be doing something else, somewhere else, and in many cases, with someone else? Is it any wonder that most people feel that they could be doing much better than they are, but they feel helpless to make a change? This situation is both the great challenge and the great opportunity of your life.

Your main job, in taking control of your life and your future, is to become the conductor of your own orchestra. You must take control of the internal and external aspects of your life and get them all playing in harmony around a central theme of your own choosing. Your job is to play beautiful music with your life, to make your life a great performance.

30 Day Mental Fast

Why do people go on physical fasts? Helps cleanse and detox the body.

Why do some people not get the desires they want out of their home business? If a physical fast gets rid of toxins and then the good stuff in our body assimilates into our cells easier to create more energy then maybe a mental fast would help. We need to maximize our mindset. How many toxins are in our mental brain holding us back?

What is it? All the steps are easy to do which means it's also easy not to do. Common sense is not so common. Do this for 30 days.
1. Read 15 to 20 minutes a day from something uplifting and empowering like this site. 64% of adults never read a full book after high school. 78% of people have not been in a book store in the last 5 years. Go get a library card...Free. Our children watch TV like crazy...The electronic income reducer.

2. Turn off all disempowering TV. Sitcoms, news, and especially at night and in the morning because our mind is more open at that point.

3. Turn off the radio. Listen to a video, or a positive CD. Automobile university.

4. Get rid of the newspaper. Remember we are talking about 30 days here then you can go do whatever you want. Don't force the whole family to go do this it's for you.

5. Associate with empowering people. As much as possible. Choose to isolate yourself away from negative people. Read, listen to something positive, get away from them. Limit or diss-associate altogether.

6. Drink plenty of good water. If we don't feel well we probably won't do well. Many people are dehydrated. 80%+ don't feel as good as they could.

7. Get plenty of exercise. Move it. Our lymphatic system that gets the toxins out works if we move it.

8. Goal sheets. Http://forms.myiworldlink.com . Every day. Set short term goals, long term goals, reflect on each day. Be thankful that you are growing.

9. Pray....Meditate...Speak to yourself positive at the end of each day.

When Calling Prospects Usually 9pm in the evening is a good time. However. The Perception is more a concern toward the person working his or her Business. Depends on your Goals. Pushing the Hours is worth it. To get out of our current job situation and have success. If our goals are BIG isn't it weird to not work later into the night. So We ask our self how hard we need to work to achieve our Goals? Logically we would work hard to make our Goals happen. If our Team was watching us would it be congruent in our work habits to hit our goals? We need to have our actions in line to reach our Goals. Evolve and grow toward our Goals. Our Goals help us walk the walk toward reaching our Goals. As we set our goals eventually as we grow more toward action we will eventually work longer hours to attain them. If people get mad when we call them we handle it. If we cut hours we would lose 5-10 hours a week toward getting out of our JOB. It creates a lag in getting to work from home. 5 hours a week 20 hours a month. If we had 100 people in our team cut 1 hour a day that would equal 500 hours a wk in work hours from our business. 2,000 a month less in our business. 2 hours extra 100 people 200 extra hours a day for our business to work, 1,000 extra hours a week that our TEAM is working in our Home Business. The learning process to get to this point is that we go from Unconsciously Incompetent to Consciously Competent just like a baby walking for the first time! We have to learn the process and BE OPTIMISTIC run from failure to failure so we can get over with failing and Move more towards SUCCESS.

If there are no businesses signed up in the area, how will people shop?

if you are brand new, go to see more presentations, to the shopping mall, over 11,000 stores,
we're missing something...
to sign up businesses in every area is not the focus at this point...
first it's the non profits, bc they already all have places to shop on the website.
if your friends or your family don't shop online that is ok
bc are there other people in the communitythat do shop online
or will
if nobody in the community shops online
that is good bc they probably will
if i'm the one who introduces them to this,
they will all shop through me, so this is big,

is there probably not enough time spent on training
in general?
if we go to the Getting Started... it already talks about
how all the stores are there etc
so
it will help to learn more about the business,
it takes a little research
we just want to turn it on, flip the switch, put some batteries,
we don't spend enough time learning
if i go to a health club
would it save me a lot of time if i learnt
first what the regime will be?
let me learn a lot so i can do it easier
more productive
great question, bc this is somebody who is asking the ? so they can feel more comfortable
if it is really quick stuff we can answer it quickly
otherwise we can point people in the right direction
this person is very serious
if someone says they don't have time to go read the website,
so if i act like i have apearl now
that is my problem
if i'm acting like this is one of my key players
and i feel like i need to spend my time with this person
and they are not as serious as i am
so i'm the one having a problem.

people are so excited that someone wants to talk to them
and that is my problem

there are over 11000 stores
first we build the customer base
then it's easy to walk into the store and
tell them: hey i have this pta, i have this customer base,
so it's simple

if all the stores in my area are already signed up
then how good is that to me?
so now we need to focus on building the customer base.

How late is too late?
I would not stop at 9pm.
If you are very focused on your goals, then you have to do what you have to do to hit them.
For them, they want to get the information.
Some won't want to be called at 9pm or 10pm.
If i'm new in the business,
and i have strong goals,
i don't want to sacrifice that,
like a new Dairy Queen,
they'll stay open.
If the only time i can have the hours is at night,
and my goal is to quit my job forever,
and the only time i can call people is at night,
shouldn't i be calling them late anyway,
and then be able to quit my job forever.

Quitting at 9pm
depends on your goal.
If your goal is a net worth of 100 million dollars,
would it be logical to work 24/7?
Wouldn't it be not logical if you quit at 9pm?

I was told to be studying all the time,
not watch tv, studying all the time,
and i was like... yeah right

but it changed, as my goals became bigger.

If they have a goal of 100 million dollars,
and they are not working 24/7,
could we call them on their nonsense.

If someone is mad bc i call them late at night,
does that mean that now i call 2 hrs less per night?

I'm loosing 5hrs so i'm loosing half of thehours that i'm putting in, on a weekly basis,
do you think i' might be at my job longer than i want.

If i have 5 people that are cutting back 1h/day,
that would be 25 hs /week
wouldn't that be 100hs /month?
kind of scary huh?
but it all starts with us,
we are the leaders.

What if i had 100 people in my team?
I mean 100 active people,
100 business builders,
so if each cut 1h/day
wouldn't that be 100 hrs/day
500hrs/week
2,000 hrs/month?

oh man
that is no fun

le'ts talk about working 2hrs extra /day
and i have 100p following my lead
then isnt' that 200hrs extra a day
isn't that 1,000 hrs extra /week?

that sounds pretty exciting right?
it all starts from us.
if we're sitting there like jackson there,
sleeping,
we can't even get one person going,

we see the peace sign here
the only difference bet your business
and marita's business
it's not the prods or the comp plan
it's the difference bet you and marita

bc how many of you have the same
prods and comp plan as marita

when she was new,
she could not get anybody,
bc she was on the lower end of the scale
and when she got to where she is now,
through sheer work and work
and invest and invest
and she is confident and passionate etc
you think, woow, she is incredible,
but you forgot what she did for how long..

Mark failed for longer than you even considered
being in business,
for years, while you were not even a thought,
not even considered being in business,
mark was busy failing.

There is a learning process,
when you start, there is something called:

UNCONSCIOUS INCOMPETENCE,

everything is rosy,
you think you turn your website on and you're going to get wealthy
you don't know what you don't know...
like driving a car,
we thought it was easy...
the computer techs have a hard time with me,
bc i tell them do this,
and just click, i'm unconsciously incompetent
i have no clue about anything...
in your job when you started
15yrs ago, in construction or in whatever
you didin't know how to do that
then
you started doing something
and you became

CONSCIOUSLY INCOMPETENT

now i realise thati don't know what i'm doing
i don't know where to look even
i'm hitting the gas when i mean to be hitting the breaks
when i try to walk i get up and i fall down,
my job, the supervisor was telling me to put the pizza in the box, and i don't even know how to do it...
you are consciously incompetent...
you've been there,
we've all been there
then
let me study the script
i'm going to be

CONSCIOUSLY COMPETENT

if i pay attention
if i really pay attention
and i study the script
let me see how i can get this person in the v.r.
let me do my goal sheet every night
oh i need to stay excited
i need to focus in this

with the driving
i have to make sure i watch where i'm going
so i'm not hitting anybody
i have to hit the gas
and i have to sit there and think about it
i have to think about what i'm doing
like a baby
i have to think about making 1 step
2nd step
i have to think
it's notmuch fun

when were unconsciously incompetent
it was more fun,
we had to think of nothing,
it was more fun,
so some people want to stay there......

then we finally do it long enough,
we learn how to do the job
and after a while
ah man no bid deal
here is the pizza,
we know how to drive
we know the business
is this is a pyramid deal?
no, were you looking for pyramids?
lol
you're

UNCONSCIOUSLY COMPETENT

now

your skin sack could not walk around
but we forgot
we forgot we didn't know how to take the pizza,
that we forgot that we didn't know every job we had in our lives,
that we didn't know how to drive around,
same here...

what if you remembered?
would you be more comfortable?
more optimistic?
seeing
the future

do you think most entrepreneurs
kind of expect to go through the same process

do you thinnk Michael Jordan
when he went to play baseball
-which he was not as good as as he was in basketball-
that he understood the process
so he was still a good baseball player
but he had not played baseball for as long
not failed as long

some people could do ourgv easier, faster
you could sign someone tomorrow
that signed up 20 deluxes in 1 day,
but why could they do that?

bc they were more confident,
had done more?
had a better network,

the rest of us are still on our way up there...
but isn't it better to work our way up
than to settle for just staying down there..

where does the first ripple start
in me
notjust financially,
butlet's talk about your boyfriend, girlfriend,
do you think the people around you appreciate that you are happy?
have you ever come out of a coaching site positive and excited?
but when you are excited and posistive
don't you givbe more?
give an extra kiss to your wife,
some more to your family, your neighbour?
wouldn't you be giving more?
would not your self esteem rise as you start hitting certain goals
if your self esteem raises
can't you love me more?
can't you be more patient with my shortcomings?

you used to be positive for 3hrs?
now you can be positive for 8hrs
now even while you sleep you are positive
and there are smiles coming out of you

if your family is feeding off of that,
are you providing a positive environment for them?
and they benefit
and they can impact other people around them?

so instead of a team of pig pens (not sure of the spelling)
we hav a team of happy people.

so we help our family,
then the community,
the city,
the state,
the country
then we help the world become impacted.

chad they told me,
you can focus on changing the percentages,
but you can change it for your family,
and other people can impact their family,
and then we can all make an impact around us.

Goals sheets,
focus on that.
Get consistent with that,
very very important for your foundation.
It might feel consciously incompetent,
it might be a little uncomfortable for you
but it might be the most important thing
that you've ever done in your life.
it really could be
bc it gets you to be thankful for what you had today
what you could to better
what tomorrow could be
not what the special at walmart is,
that is not that important as
doing your goals.
if there are glitches and stuff,
you can send an email,
you can send me quesitons at
coaching@a2success.com
and for mr yeh,
to
clark@ourgvrewards.com
for non profits questions.

End of the month.
it is up to us to work with that urgency,
we don't work with that urgency,
we have to get that urgency first,
not our team,
and then we wonder where our check is.

if our team does not have the urgency,
who didn't have it first?
if our team does have the urgency?
who had it first?
it is always me ...

if we pack today's briefing,
the q&a session,
the briefing, the shopping call
then the coffee call,
then the briefing,
if do all this stuff right,
then saturday will be gigantic....

Inch by inch is a cinch

Go the extra inch...not mile. We need to focus on the small steps forward that we can be doing this moment!

Out of every negative there are many positives.

How to have a winning year

In sports you often hear of a winning year. Winning more games than you lose. A record of 9 wins and 7 losses. What if we applied that to our lives? Have a winning day, then week, month, and then year. More good days than bad days, good things than bad things.

Do what successful people do and model those things then we will have a winning year like they have had.

Leonardo Da Vinci: lived over 500 yrs. ago and drew blue prints for the first sub-marine, helicopter, built the first extendable latter, rotating stage, folding furniture, first water powered alarm clock, built a ditch digging machine, first fire alarm system although it back fired and flooded the restaurant. What led him to being such a great success? 1. Learning like crazy. The average CEO reads 4-5 books a month, the average american reads less than 1 book a year and mainly 1 chapter. Study the coaching site, read the training emails, attend all live trainings. The average CEO earns on average 536 times the salary of their average employee. You will be the same person you are today years from now except for the stuff you learn. 2. He would set goals, ask detailed questions, and focus on the solutions of well worked questions. What am I doing when I'm the most happy? What am I doing when I'm making the most money? How do I accomplish this goal? How do I do this? Maybe write a journal for those you care about for each person, your family, etc...

A little kid will find a way to go after their goals. They are not scared. If we are afraid to do a certain thing like OurGV we can't be afraid to take risks. Just like a kid that jumps in the water to be caught. We will catch ourselves with our passion determination and what we become from working on ourselves.

Avoid gossip...talking ill of others. Don't spread the venom of lies and negative ideas.

Encourage others all the time. Lift them up through all the tough times that life brings about.

Teamwork. Encourage eachother on to higher levels of success.

Don't say you don't have time. We all have time...it's how we manage our time.

Questions from field

Q:
After listening to you this morning about picking the right recruites is it wrong to be judgemental when talking to people because I keep getting a lot of throw away fishes after they say they are serious and interested? I know you said not to judge anyone.... they might know a 5star.

A: When brand new, don't prejudge them. Watch their actions and judge them by what they are doing. Kindle the fire because when they're new they don't know what they want to do yet, or haven't decided yet and might not be ready even if they're not doing anything. Don't throw them out, they might get better in 6 months. We can help by inviting them to to the voice room for coffee calls & trainings and also getting them to do goal sheets to track their progress. They need to learn there's a numbers game.

11 reasons people fail their goals

  1. People have no goals. They don't write them down every day. That act keeps it in front of us. Some say 1000% higher chance to hit them.
  2. We set goals that are not our own. What society thinks we can do or should do. Dreams are very different for different people.
  3. Choosing goals that are not worthwhile enough. Set big goals and dreams. If not they are not motivating. We need to have gigantic dreams to unleash our passion.
  4. Let others know what our goals are. Provides accountability and to set a good example.
  5. Lack of focus. Paper cup in an empty parking lot with the wind blowing it around. Memorize the goals to help remind and focus. Take action every single day even if it's only a little. Don't let other things draw our attention away.
  6. Not having a clear vision. Sometimes we need to give it time. It needs to be as detailed as possible. As spectaclular as possible. So our daily taskes are exciting because it accomplishes the big dream.
  7. Limiting beliefs. Beliefs that we can't do it and the vision will fail. What we believe about ourselves molds our life. We need to believe first. I am the type of person that deserves these things. Make little gains forward.
  8. Attitude. Many have not been encouraged. We need to realize we can. Others have done it I know I can do it. I'm going to try. If they can do this so can you. This is an optimistic attitude. Opt-you opt to do something, we choose to do it, and optemologist (sight)..so we are choosing to see in a better way. The winner of elections have been the most optimistic.
  9. Procrastination. The biggest country in the world. We'll cover that next time. Just kidding. It's human nature. We will experience the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. Take action immediatly.
  10. Quit too soon. Luckily my referring affiliate did not give up on me 12 years ago. "Chicken Soup For The Soul" was rejected 150 times by publishers. Every successful person fights discouragement. We need to stay in our support system to help us keep fighting forward. "Wounds from a friend can be trusted".
  11. Failure to measure our progress. We need to track like crazy.
Golden rule: treat others as you would want to be treated. This can back fire in one on one communications. Would a New Yorker treat people in San Diego the way they want to be treated?

Diamond rule: Do unto others the way they would have you treat them. We adjust our attitude for them and the way they like it.

You may have heard this stuff before but it's good to cover again. How many of you saw things differently the more times you saw it?

Each person has habits that fit their traits. We need to be good with communicating to their habits in business and socially. Your communication is only as good as your understanding of the people you are communicating too. EQ again is social intelligence. Which many are finding is more important than your IQ (intelligence quotient) to success. Especially in the global world that OurGV provides.

We can learn how to hanldle all ends of the spectrum of people. We can read people faster and faster to know what their habits and preferences are in any interpersonal situation. The Mini Journey training covers this in much more detail. This is not to manipulate others but to speak their language. Much like in France you'd like to speak French. The ideas don't change but how you present them does.

Red- firm, forceful, confident, risk-taker, impatient, you know who the leader is.

Blue- fun, lots of ideas, like to talk.

Yellow- stability, relationships, timid, slow to change.

Green- analysis, stiff, thinkers.

We all are drawn to some people, indifferent to many, and turned off by some. Our understanding of them will help them relate to us better. We all are blends of all styles but there is a dominant one. There is no style that is better than another.

?'s from the field

What if my affiliates are in other businesses?

A: The key is to be excited and committed to what we are doing. It isimportant for us to grow in leadership and confidence. We can also advise them, as the CEO advised us, we will not be able to do anything well if when dividing our attention and time. We need to cut some things out of ourschedule, especially when new. We shouldn't put a time table on ourselves. We shouldn't have short-term attitude towards our business. We should carryourselves with confidence. It's who we are that creates the money. We needto be confident, loving, and ok with ourselves.

How do we explain the compensation plan to our affiliates?

A: We explain the compensation to affiliates by directing them to the videos in the Getting Started section, other videos, and the trainings.

Leads

#1. Each time you call a lead the odds go down. After the 3rd call, you should discard that lead. You should make sure you call your leads ASAP, because they may forget they requested the information or they may have be getting calls from other business and not want to answer the phone anymore. So don’t continue calling unless you have NO OTHER LEADS, this will only discourage you from making more calls. And you never know where you next star is going to come from.

You could also give those leads to a team member that has no other leads, to give them something to work on, but you should encourage them to get new/fresh leads whichever way they can (calling warm/hot leads, getting referrals, creating own leads).

#2. Don’t get discouraged! It’s like trying to sell someone tissue paper and they don’t want it. Remember that they just weren’t interested in what we have! We want people that are fired up about what we have to offer them, Right! So look at how many people you invited to the briefing, success is in numbers. The more people you have at the briefing the higher your success will be at finding those that will get excited. This should inspire you to find more leads whichever way possible and call them.

“We don’t want the needy, we want the greedy!”

Persistence is a state of mind-Vic Johnson

“The person of good and lawful purpose cannot fail. It only needs that he daily renew the fire and energy of his fixed resolve, to consummate his object.” - The Mastery of Destiny

It is the great equalizer for all of those reaching for success.
It overcomes lack of education, money, talent, intelligence, looks and all other seeming advantages. President Calvin Coolidge said nothing could take its place.
“Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.”

I cannot think of one victory I’ve ever had that I won without persistence. For a while I just thought that I had to work harder and longer than anyone else in order to achieve because nothing has ever come easy for me. Then I really looked around and noticed that everyone else was just like me. Every mentor I’ve ever had and every successful person I’ve ever known has their own story of how persistence was the key to their success.

Here’s what Bob Proctor teaches on one of the Universal Laws called the Law of Gender: “This law decrees that all seeds (ideas are spiritual seeds) have a gestation or incubation period before they manifest. In other words, when you choose a goal or build the image in your mind, a definite period of time must elapse before that image manifests in physical results.”

Coming from a family of six generations of farmers I certainly understand the gestation of a seed. In fact, one of my most favorite inspirational examples about persistence is the story of an Asian Bamboo species that even after five years of watering, weeding and fertilizing is barely visible. Then in a span of about six weeks it grows two and a half feet a day to 90 feet and higher. It grows so fast that you can literally “hear” it growing. The question to ask is did the bamboo grow 90 feet in six weeks or did it grow 90 feet in five years?
Obviously it grew 90 feet in five years, for all the time when growth wasn’t visible it was developing a massive root system that would later support it’s magnificent growth.

Can you see where the current circumstances in your life are developing your massive root system? Can you see where you must continue to “fertilize” and “water” yourself even though maybe you can’t see any visible changes today?

Napoleon Hill thought that persistence was such a key to success that he devoted an entire chapter to it in the classic Think and Grow Rich. He writes, “Persistence is a state of mind, therefore it can be cultivated….Before success comes in any person’s life, he is sure to meet with much temporary defeat, and, perhaps, some failure.

When defeat overtakes a person, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to QUIT. That is exactly what the majority of people do. More than five hundred of the most successful people this country has ever known, told the author their greatest success came just one step beyond the point at which defeat had overtaken them.”

Victory!!

Go for victory!! Not a victim but a VICTOR!!

Success triangle: bottom is Internal communication, left side External communication, and right side technical know how of OurGV.

To master these 3 we need:
1. Time
2. Energy (effort, money)
3. Overcome frustration (ability to handle it and raise the amount it takes for you to get upset...Frustration quotient has to rise the higher it is the more it takes for them to be upset...Being upset can wipe out your energy to express to create your dreams...Victors have high frustration quotients...Allow others to be right so you can be rich.

4. Change (if nothing changes nothing changes)

Once you master the 3 areas:
1. No commuting
2. Destroy alarm clock...Most people die Monday morning because they hate to go to work. When we don't work out the adrenaline created by the alarm clock it releases toxins into the blood stream.
3. Fire your boss....Who wants to go work for someone else every week for 5 days. No way!!
4. Generate a 6 figure income at least. That is less than 9k per month.

Internal communication: how you communicate with yourself. Your belief system. If you are reading this you desire more out of life than you are getting now. If we change our actions we'll get different results. But if all we do is change actions we'll eventually go back when our conscience goes back to the old habits. Our habitual patterns have to change so we can get a better natural set of results than we are currently getting. Make sure to have your beliefs growing and evolving forward.

External communication: How you communicate with others. How effective you are with people. Your income will increase as this ability goes up. Learn about basic human nature and behavioral styles. We need to decrease the tension level between us and others and increase the cooperation level so production rises in all areas.

Technical know-how: It doesn't matter about our know how in other areas we have to grow our know how in OurGV. Learn from the people that are the most effective.

Victorious or victim:
Vision-focus on how your life is to look.
Vehicle-determines whether that vision can happen or not. A job will most likely not help create your vision. Master that vehicle.
Voices-what is entering into your consciousness. Is it empowering or disempowering? News, negative programming, or listening to the videos and studying the coaching site. Watch the volume and speed of the negative stuff.

What do I do to make 3k/month?

What daily goals should I set to reach $3K/ Month?
We must set small attainable goals that will challenge us yet not discourage us. The most important goal to focus on when brand new is recruiting.
We have two forms of commission we can earn; front-end commissions and back-end commissions (residual income).
Fron-end commissions are attained through BV’s, which is why recruiting is so important. To obtain these BV’s we need to focus on the sales of our company products, one being websites which the company pays 50% BV’s on (deluxe package is $898 x 50%= 450 BV’s). That is awesome!
So for a manager or above making 30% on BV’s, they would need 10,000 BV’s to make $3,000. So you could recruit 24 deluxe on your own, or recruit 12 and teach each to recruit just 2 and you would be at 10,000 BV’s. See why recruiting helps increase BV’s.
The deluxe website for Non-Profit pays 100 BV’s, so you could get 100 Non-Profits and reach 10,000 BV’s. Or you could teach you recruits to sign on Non-profits (60 recruits each get 2 Non-Profits= 120 x 100BV = 12,000 BV’s.
So when you set your goals focus on recruiting and selling our company products to get commissions now. Make your goals small but challenging so you can move forward and not stay idle! You can do it, just challenge yourself! Make your first goal to commit to the goals sheet EVERY NIGHT so that you will know what you need to improve on.

The metrics of sales success

Things that are measured tend to improve because we are paying attention to them. Even if we don't have much we need to track so that we have success.

Selling by the numbers
Every week or month track the number of new:
1. Number of prospective affiliates
2. Sources where they came from
3. Number of calls you are making
4. Number of times you actually contacted the person you were trying to reach
5. Number of times these activities resulted in a full presentation of our company, number of times you presented your story, what you can do for someone else, number of times you asked for a sales commitment
6. Number of times they said yes
7. What was the value of each sale?

We can then see where we are lacking. Most are lacking in the number of prospective affiliates at the very beginning. It could be you are reaching them but not asking for commitment. These numbers will show it so you can avoid thinking your problem is something it's not.

behavioral economics
1. Behaviors have values
2. Certain behaviors have costs

Many talk or have hear of ROI Return on investment. However, we should focus on these more...

R.O.A. Return on attitude-Half your job is keeping people in the right frame of mind. Managing their points of view. Right attitude things work. What's the purpose of selling? Not to make sales, but to build profitable business friendships. -

R.O.R. Return on Relations- who do you know and who knows you? Can you afford for them not to like you? Does it help your goals? Whether someone shops or is a top producer the relationship should be cultivated and developed to its full potential.

R.O.H. Return on habits- habits of focus create return. Hanging out unproductively costs us now as well as the multiplication effect of costing us millions. Learning can help us grow making us better and more productive. Can we afford to not have those habits? We need to do more than the others are doing who have accomplished what we are setting out to do. How does the habit of watching TV help you? Sleeping in late? Day dreaming between calls? What if we created new productive habits?

8 Habits-Covey

1. Be proactive
2. Begin with the end in mind
3. Put first things first
4. Think win/win
5. Seek first to understand then to be understood
6. Synergize
7. Sharpen the saw
8. Find your voice and inspire others to find theirs.

There are laws of nature that govern life. We think we govern it, but we govern our behavior.

4 parts to our nature:
1. Body
2. Mind
3. Heart
4. Spirit

All 4 parts represent 4 capabilities that need to be honored and respected to find his or her voice and also inspire others to do the same. Voice is when your talent and passion overlaps what the world needs.

5 things that do not help us discover our voice:
1. Criticizing
2. Complaining
3. Competing-in the wrong spirit.
4. Comparing
5. Contending

Without our passion we need to be managed.

How we develop our voice?
Nature laws

1. Freedom and power to choose
2. Principles (universal, timeless, self-evident)
3. The 4 parts to intelligence (IQ for mind, EQ for Heart (social skills, emotional, self awareness, awareness of others, ability to relate to others), PQ for body (70 trillion cells working to protect you right now), SQ for spirit (deals with the need to serve and to have meaning and 2 to live by your conscious and have connection to the truths. )Unlike IQ, which computers have, and EQ, which exists in higher mammals, SQ is uniquely human and the most fundamental of the three. It linked to humanity's need for meaning, an issue very much at the front of people's minds. SQ is what we use to develop longing and capacity for meaning, vision, and value. It allows us to dream and to strive. It underlies the things we believe in and the role our beliefs and values play in the actions we take. It is what makes us human.

This stuff use to be a little out there but now is widely understood.
Our four needs: To live (body), To love (heart), To learn (mind), and To leave a legacy (spirit). That's what a whole person in the right place does and helps find the voice.

Whole person in whole job: Pay me fairly (body), Treat me kindly (heart), Use me creatively (mind), Serving human needs in principled ways (spirit). Meaningfulness the why behind the what and how, and to live with integrity. All have got to be developed (body, mind, heart, and spirit). Exercise, learning, rebuilding relationships, contributing. Service is the rent we pay for the privledge of living on Earth.

Four Assumptions:
Body-Assume you had a heart attack. Now live accordingly.

Heart-Assume everything that you say about another is overheard by them. Now speak accordingly. Be loyal to the absent.

Mind-Assume the half-life of your profession is 2 years, now behave accordingly. Learn fast. Invest in your education. Constant need for it.

Spirit-Assume you had a one on one relationship with your creator. Now behave accordingly.

Has someone ever believed in you when you didn't. Others helped you find your voice. Vision (mind)others vision changed your life, Discipline (body) to do now what must be done to get what you want, Passion (heart), Conscience (spirit). When the 3 are governed by conscience it will change the world. Gandhi versus Hitler. They had the first three but Gandhi had the conscience.

Trim-tab: The small rudder that turns the big rudder that turns the ship. Anyone in an organization can help create magic. Start in your own circle and it grows larger and larger to impact the world. This idea threatens some because they realize they have the responibility.

5 economic era's:
1. 1 unit of effort created one result. Hunting.
2. 1 unit of effort created more. Farming
3. Industrial era 1 unit created way more.
4. Information age. World of unleashing people not controlling them. In the industrial age you were an expense, where a machine was a investment. Now people are the investment. Close your eyes and don't peek. Point North. People point in all different directions. In the industry age most people can't name the number one goal of a company either. We need to have goals and translate them into action throughout the team. Many people don't know what they can do to help the company achieve it's goals. Once people know they are free to make it happen.
5. Wisdom age. That takes and learns from all levels to create what's best.

Communication tool-you've got the object I will listen as long as you have the object feel understood and then you pass it to me. We listen and it communicates their worth and potential allowing them to be more and more open.

3 challenges:
personal greatness-find your voice. The 7 habits.

leadership greatness-modeling (leading by example, kids will do whatever they see their parents doing) and helping inspire others to find their voice. Communicate their worth and potential so clearly they see it in themselves. The 7 habits leading to the 8th habit.

organizational greatness- Mission, vision, values, co-missioning others to the cause.
Don't worry about other people's shortcomings or what they need to do better. We need to get better and encourage all of those around us. Support their strength and diminish their weaknesses.
Empower others to find their strengths.

1. Be proactive
2. Begin with the end in mind
3. Put first things first
4. Think win/win
5. Seek first to understand then to be understood
6. Synergize
7. Sharpen the saw
8. Find your voice and inspire others to find theirs.

How do I build a team?

HOW DO I BUILD MY TEAM?
For the sake of this article "Jackson" is the many people in home business that don't do anything and wonder when their checks are going to come.
in the beginning, people act like they are new, and don't deserve to be a leader.

Most new people feel like they have to stand in line before they become a leader in their business. Before they cast the vision and spread their confidence throughout the world. Because they don't spread the vision the production is down. Because the production is down they don't make money as fast as they'd like. In my pond I have a big turtle, enormous... And then I went online and bought a new small tiny turtle... I was wondering how my new little turtle would do with the big turtle...

my new turtle is ready, owns the pond...

if we are not giving, we are not receiving

The new person is usually focusing on the "check fairy".

if I act like I'm new, like I don't know what's going on,
I am messing myself up. I need to not be a "know it all" but be a entrepreneur who wants to build a business. I have to start casting the vision.

We reap what we sow, if we sow nothing,
what will we reap?

I need to be better at giving. What do I need to give? Energy, time, passion, discipline, commitment, money...

people like Jackson don't focus on what they can give,
but on what they can get.

How will I be a good recruiter if I think of what I can get.

I need to give my people, give them, love them.

Do not train them, you bring them here,
you are giving them the oppty of a life time.

Jackson type people, his goals sheets, a massive sign that they are not really working on themselves. That they have not solid goals, they do not have great expectations, that they are not looking at what they do everyday...

Focus on the goals.
People don't want to hear this.
They focus on what they can get.
It's not comfortable to focus on what we can do better.
A good coach would help them focus on what they can do better,
and do their goals sheets.

I don't want a wish list.

I want to get them done -my goals.

I don't want to be someone who just talks.

How many of us know people that are just talkers.

We are learning to shift paradigms.
Now that I am becoming a different person,
I start
-have to start
doing different things.
I need to focus on my goals sheets.
On the goals sheet:
there is a question there:
What could I have done better?
Isn't that huge?
bc I can be learning what I need to do better.
The reason why I don't know these things is not bc I don't know them.
but bc I'm not asking myself the right ?'s

I need to go to trainings, to learn how to build my team.
Under the Getting started section:
Videos:
Who do I know?
that's the answer.
Go to Getting started, and read, watch,
and concentrate, not just watch, concentrate.
Who do I know?
How to use the System?
Owning my own business
OPO
Compensation plan
Using OPE

In the Coord. Call, they talk about Leads.
To build a team, I need to learn
how to work with referrals, w/m
leads,
Get my attitude straight.

The more I learn
the better my attitude will be,
the more confident I get
the better I get
the better/bigger my team will get.

Like to get in s hape,
I need to watch my diet,
do strength training
and card exercises.

People know this.
Does not mean it's easy.

What if I told you the next person you signed up would make you $1K?
Would you find a way to sign them up?

We know how to build a Team,
we already know,
it's a matter of just doing it.

Take Control

Why would anyone look at an opportunity to make money and save time and not do it? They are being controlled by their past habits that have been passed along from others to them. We have become sub-conscious conditioned.

Success is tough for people, they don't know how to get it. Try things and then give up. To learn success we must learn why we are where we are now.

1. Where you are-most don't know where we are. Your results are neither good not bad. They are just your results. It's more important to think of the 2nd thing.

2. Where you are going-your present results have nothing to do with where you are going unless you let it. What do I really want...The how does not matter.

Who are you? Spiritual beings gifted with intellect which dictates our emotional states which dictates our physical state. We say we our physical because we can not see our spirit.

Mind:conscious and subconscious. The conscious mind gives ability to choose. The subconscious is always on. What you think through your senses presses onto your subconscious mind and then creates a feeling. We need to program our subconscious mind. It does as it is instructed. Lets say you're earning 50k per year....Would you have thoughts of someone making 200k a year? We wouldn't, in fact we probably think the 200k is so different than the thoughts we have at 50k. Our culture helps create these patterns. When you were little what were the thoughts around you about income that were programming your subconscious mind? Who picked your program?

Get locked into study. Learn. You have infinite potential. What are you doing with it?

Learn how to make decisions. Successful people make decisions quick and change them slow.

Learn how to earn money. It allows you to be more effective at whatever you are doing. Money makes you more comfortable which allows you to do better.

How much time do you spend thinking and what are you thinking about? Monitor your thinking.

Create Value-Get Money To Chase You

Winners believe in themselves. If you think you can or can't your right.

Optimistic-something good is going to happen to you.

Winston Churchill "Never never never never never give up."

Look for something that can express your value. Will helping other affiliates, non-profits, and businesses show the value of your time your life?

Be so necessary and important that you deserve to get paid. Don't chase money but rather let money chase you.

Entrepreneurs don't sit around trying to think of how to win money. They think of how to bring value. Bell did not make the phone to make money. His sister was hearing impaired and to give his sister a chance to hear he made this system to help. Solving problems is the key. 1904 the ice cream cone was invented. Wally the waffle vendor and the fair. Waffles on plates served with syrup he ran out of plates. His wife said find a solution and suggested to go to the ice cream vendor. She ironed the waffles and spun them into a cone shape and went to the ice cream company the rest was history. Bratwurst use to be served in gloves. You'd dip it in the mustard. They took the gloves home to garden. He took some bread and put it around the bratwurst. He had a wiener dog and someone said what do you have in that bun your dog? He said he's it's a hot dog.

Why are you here?

Self-trust is the first secret of success, the belief that your being here means that the authorities of the universe put you here, and for a cause.
Ralph Emerson

Focus

What are the variables that separate the good from the best of goal setters?

Focus: Can you give more than 100%? People say "I gave it 110%". Look at a pie graph, the whole thing is 100%. If you take away 10% you can only replace that 10%. People are saying they see you in something that has not been tapped into yet. Something being held back from reaching your full potential. Person exercising on tread mill with no clock 26 mins. Then collapse, 28 mins. With clock. Came back with no clock and stayed at 26 mins. But was told 28:15. Then with the clock did 28:16. The clock helped his focus.
When we set goals we need to have 4 keys:
1. Set specific goals: evaluate and measure
2. Set tangible goals: see, feel, hear, smell, and touch.
3. Set difficult goals:stretches us to move forward.
4. Set Self-referenced goals: don't measure against someone else. How am I doing today against yesterday.

New Paradigm

Paradigm-
1. comes from the Greek work, paradeigmia, which means "pattern or example".
2. Thought patterns. Habits. Like tieing shoes. Speaking our language.
3. Sub-conscious conditioning.

Paradigm shift- A radical change in somebody's basic assumptions about an approach to something.

We need people to convince us we are not as bad as we think we are. The inner judge that says we can't do many of the things we want to do.

Why do some people always win and some always lose? Some of the people losing are incredible while some winners aren't that great. The answer lies in writing a program for our life to go from losing to winning. If we don't understand or work on this we still lose. Just because a baby does not understand gravity does not mean it floats. The natural laws are the natural laws whether we know them or not. Somebody else may have programmed you before but you can change it. repetition is necessary to make it happen in your life. When you go over it again and again you are seeing not new information but a new you. The most ancient writings said there was an infinite source of supply, when you take some there will be more. As you get it you will give and circulate more.

Everything has to do with programs. If you are sitting on a chair you can't put anything on it till you move. You can't create a new habit unless you create a space for it. Many of us don't take lessons to grow. If we wanted to fly would we take lessons? Let's get our ego out of the way and understand that we have the intelligence to learn something if we seek the education.

The image you hold in your mind controls the chemical make-up of your body.

Our paradigms influence our thinking. To change it we have to override the old paradigm. That is very uncomfortable. When our body is positive we feel good. The vibration within us is controlled by the paradigm. So changing our paradigm feels uncomfortable, it creates a foreign vibration.

1. Make a detailed written statement describing exactly how you are living. Write them all down exactly like it is the good bad and ugly.

Another sheet of paper make a detailed written statement describing how you want to live. "I am so happy and grateful now that...." Get exact. This may take awhile. Don't think of how you are going to do it. What kind of money, health, trips, home, people you mix with, etc..? Get around the right environment. Environment is more important that heredity. Don't mix with anyone that does not think you're special. If they don't think you're special they may not think they are special. They are going to have tons of reason why things are not good.

2. What is your present financial situation? Totally detailed.
Make a written statement of how you want them to be on a different piece of paper. "I am so happy and grateful now that...." Your passive income should cover your lifestyle.

3. Write sign and read the following commitment for the next 90 days.
"My signature represents my irrevocable commitment to view this program, to read these positive statements, to make a paradigm shift everyday for the next 90 days."

The negative sheets with the present situations tear them up or burn them. Focus on the be's.

Why businesses fail

Why businesses fail? Last year 155,000+ failed. There was a study that asked their customers why did they stop doing business with them. 68% said they were being treated with an attitude of indifference.
Attitude scale
+<-------------------------l--------------------------->-
Get in their faces
Serve!

csi-customer satisfaction index. 100% csi. 100% of customers 100% satisfied 100% of the time.
Some would think that's unreasonable. I don't. We are going for the whole thing. We may not hit it but we will hit way more than if we lower our standards.

80/20 rule...Pareto's law. 80% of our business will be derived from 20% of our loyal customers and who they help us bring in. 65/10 65% of business will come from 10%. We can't compromise on them at all. That 10% is sooo important.

CTO-customer turnover. Sometimes we think it's ok to "fire" customers but we don't know what they could've become. Make sure none of the CTO is in the 10%.

How to avoid cto-serve, find out and manage expectations. Exceed expectations. Create some period customer service miracles. Have a good heart, want to perform them. We need a keen eye to recognize the miracle opportunity. MO-miracle opportunity. Anything that you can do that makes your customer say "WOW".

How to create the MO-
1. Don't multi-task while talking to them. Focus
2. Give a kind word.
3. Smile while talking to them. Sometimes we can be smiling on the inside but it works better to make sure it's on the outside.
4. Positive energy. Upbeat.
5. A can-d0 spirit. Yes, we can help you with that!!
6. Use their name. Don't over use it but don't under use it.
7. Thank them.

Reputation

The purpose of selling is building profitable friendships. How do people feel about you? What do they say about you? You control this it's called reputation management. Decide now what you want them to say and feel about you 3-5 yrs. From now. Many of us have been taught to write our epitaph, the words we'd have on our tombstone. Why not do it for now? Write a paragraph of how you'd like them to be said for each of these areas of your life:

Extended Family members: Do they even know what you do for a living? Can they accurately describe it?

Friends: Do they know what you do?

Co-workers: Do they know and get what you do?

Customers:

Upper leadership:

Community:

Industry:

This will produce 7 little paragraphs that contain the response you'd like in each of these areas. Take them and summarize them in one about how you want the world to look and think about you.

First we need to create it. We need to earn it.
What are some of the elements that help earn it:

Credentials: the person you intend to become what credentials do you need, what can I do today to help obtain them.

Experience: Having been through situations develops my reputation.

Education: there will be education that is necessary to earn that reputation. Continuing path up where you'd like to be.

Skills: The more they increase the better.

Personal Appearance: The way you look is how the rest of the people determines who you are as a snapshot. Dress a little sharper than who you are meeting with. Builds credibility but you don't want to be overboard.

Connections: the more networked you are the better. Civic groups, chamber of commerce, etc....

Demeanor: How you carry yourself, your posture. How are you like when the heat's on, when things aren't going your way. People notice this stuff. We have to be able to look at our actions to grow and change. Become someone who can handle tough situations well. Become someone who can apologize easily, otherwise you carry that anchor with you.

Wealth: people will pay more attention to you if you are a mult-millionaire. Decide now to become wealthy. Easy to do as long as you keep on doing it.

Follow-through: are you known for being great at following through with what needs to be done.

Service: do you help others?

Attitude: what is your attitude towards the world, people, yourself? Be optimistic and excited about all of them. Find reasons to like. Explore the potentials.

Expand your reputation. Get known well. Get involved in your community. Send announcements when something new or good is happening to your network. Send newsclips. Speak up in different networking opportunities, sometimes people hearing us will draw them to us. Offer to do interviews and speaking engagements. People need to know what you do first. When you are involved in events get involved, don't just observe.

Start behaving today as the person you intend to become.

Create, expand, and manage your reputation.

Presidents

Thomas Jefferson-was known as the most intelligent president. He saw himself as a common man. He saw everyone as common men, all being equal.

Franklin Deleanor Roosevelt-stricken with polio. He communicated through fireside chats. 1. Some goals take a long time to reach. 2. He would remind them of the goal and update them on the status. He would coach them forward.

Harry Truman-straight shooter. We can't just worry about ourselves isolated. Freedom for all. We can't be isolationalists ourselves thinking we don't need anyone. What around you does effect you.

Ronald Reagan-he believed communism could fall. He was an optimist. We need to be optimist. When others worry we stand tall. Half full always. He had a plaque on his desk "It can be done."

Dealing with challenges

Creating new experiences so we can go through the challenges along the way to the next level. We have to embrace the challenges, they all provide lessons that will help us. We often think we have to be positive all the time but there will be balance in our emotions as we go through experiences. Don't get down on yourself if you are not positive all the time because that is an illusion that cannot be attained. It will make you feel that is the reason you haven't hit the next level because of your negativity. If you can look what makes you negative and learn from it you'll create an experience that helps in the future. Be balanced right in that tough moment and it will take away the pain. For instance...When I was first trying to call leads a guy asked me if this was some kind of pyramid deal? A rush of fear and failure filled my mind and heart. After I hung up the phone on him, not angrily but just because I did not know what to say. I looked at myself and realized that ? Posed to me wasn't that bad, the outcome had no bearing on my success in the future. I thought about how I could learn more and get more confident, how that was one "no" on the way to my "yes's". This thought process helped create a new experience for when it would happen again as it often did. We can live with and through our challenges without feeling like we have to be positive and go around them. The experience taught had nothing to do with that cranky man but allowed me to be comfortable in that some won't do the business and I will still be successful. Some will be negative and it doesn't have to ruin my day. There were so many great lessons that experience helped me with and it's still helping the people I love here today as I share this with you.

There is a difference between our mind and our brain. Point to your mind. You are actually pointing to your brain. The mind experiences and the brain records the experiences. How many thousands of experiences and recordings from those experiences do we have? Our brain can unconsciously connect to past recordings of bad situations that did not work for us to today situations. You're not allowing yourself to create new experiences, to be balanced and adding to the recordings that don't work in the first place. Let's say you don't like the rejection of recruiting. In the past the rejection you had when you were little creates negative feelings. Now that experience of being rejected today connects to the rejection pattern of the past and ruins your day today. The truth is we can create a new experience today. We must consciously commit to create a new experience, to realize we have to stop the old pattern. There is no technique to get us to stop we have to stop the old pattern and create a new one. Someone says something mean on the phone. The old pattern was to get offended, to feel rejected, to doubt ourselves. We need to consciously decide to not go to that old pattern and to create a new one. I will not allow you to ruin my day, this business must not be for you, I do not take it personal and will go onto someone else who is more excited about it.

Within every chaos in your life there is something there to help you. Think about the ekg machine for your heart. It goes up and down. A healthy life will have ups and downs. If you resist the downs you will resist the ups. We need to embrace all challenges to learn so we can experience the beauty of all the ups. Flat line is no good. All things help we just have to look deep to see what the lesson is to learn. When I lost my job at the bar I went home in tears scared for how to survive. That was the greatest day of my life looking back. It created a distrust of all employment and a passion to do a home business for myself. What if someone offends you...Play the understanding game. I will keep in mind that something is easily going on in your life to cause offence to me.

Get a clear vision where you want to go, what you want to get better. The clearer this vision the more you will attract the things necessary to help that come true. Commit to making that vision come true.

Affirmations: Saying positive statements about ourselves and our future to help create that future. What are the top 3 things you'd like to change in the next 12 months? Write a statement of them being done already. "I make 5k a month." " I am positive throughout all things." Or whatever you have in mind.

Sometimes we say positive things to ourselves but still hear some little doubt which takes away from our affirmation. Squash that little noise. We must dissassociate from that negativity. Feel the energy from the affirmation. "I will be wealthy". How will that feel? Go there, get the emotions behind it. It's not what you say but the feeling behind what you say. The feeling of the affirmation will beat the negativity and create a new association for you. That feeling is the foundation of the new idea taking hold and building in your life.

Become that person

Many of us think that living this life is hard. What if we compared ourselves to people that everyday have challenges to survive not just succeed?

simple fundamentals (Learn to work harder on yourself than you do on your job):
If you work hard on your job you can make a living, but if you work hard on yourself you can make a fortune. Success is not something you pursue it's something you attract by becoming an attractive person. Become that person.
Your personal philosophy. Determines future. It helps see the danger of limiting things and see the opportunities and maximize them. Darkness and light. Evil and good. Tyranny and Liberty. Illness and health. Death and life. Cooperate with the positives. Allow them to win the pushing and shoving. Whose sides are you on? Ants think winter all summer....Hurry hurry hurry. Think summer in the winter.

What you see is what you get

Body language

We communicate with our body language. In all situations at all times of our life.
1. Voice: can you think of voices for different personality types? A computer geek, a cave man, a high pressure salesperson. If we lower our pitch to sound more authoritative and credible. High pitch often sounds nervous and immature. Become aware of what your voice is so you can work on sounding more typical. Speak at a slower rate when you want to convey seriousness, authority, and thoughtful deliberation. It implies well chosen words and allows listener to concentrate on message being delivered. Speak at a faster rate to convey excitement, enthusiasm, and energy. Use approriate volume. Loudness can come across vulgar and unruly where soft can be seemed as shyness, nervousness, and incompetence. Avoid mannerisms and toys that can be distracting. When you laugh and smile laugh on purpose. Sometimes people laugh because they are uncomfortable, possibly not bright. When you are seen to be in control of your emotions people will give you credit for being in control of situations. Genuine and appropriate smiles and facial expressions. To establish knowledge on someone's communication style you need to develop a base line. There are some universal typical meanings but many have to be interpreted in the context, when you know what their normal body language is so you know what is a change. Chat with them on a neutral subject so you can see the typical. Beware of false non-verbal cues.

Movement
Walk, sit, stand, with good posture to convey self-confidence and competence. Have you seen a shuffler? The nervous person, pacing? The sprawler who puts stuff everywhere? The tired person who can't keep themselves up? Keep appropriate distance and respect personal space. 1-4 ft. is appropriate for most private conversations. 4-12 feet when social conversations when you don't mind who listens. It makes a difference with how you control, how much trust, how much authority you have when communicating. The closer the more trust. Higher up more authority. Use touch when appropriate. Pats, squeezes, hugs,etc....We touch to show friendliness, good will, love, etc... Don't point your finger. It is associated with scolding. Tell your body what mood you are supposed to be in. Control yourself.

Eye contact
Respect status with your eye contact. The person with more authority has the responsibility of making or braking eye contact. If you continue to stare when they've broken eye contact it is seen as aggressiveness. Build rapport with eye contact. Withholding eye contact makes them feel like they are not worth listening to or respecting..

Winners

  1. Winners believe they deserve to win.
  2. Winners believe with passion.
  3. Winners determine their futures. Losers let it happen, winners make it happen.
  4. Winners have focus. Set goals. Goal achieving not tension relieving.
  5. Winners expect the best. You will not get what you want but what you expect. Expectation causes motivation.
  6. Winners exemplify integrity.
  7. Winners visualize in order to realize. Imagination + simulation = realization. Everything started with an idea.
  8. Winners practice to perfection. Practice doesn't make perfect. Practice makes permanent. Only perfect practice makes perfect. We recall what we've learned. We store as reality everything that we have experienced. Our storage does not tell the difference between real experience and visualized experience. It takes more than 21 days to create a habit. Like submarines...Silent and deep.
  9. Winners persevere through rejection. Rejection is learning. Most successful people are comfortable with failure. You are going to win some and lose some. Sometimes our lowest point allows us to focus and look deep inside on what it takes to succeed.
  10. Winners share the glory. Never forget who pushed you up to success.

Iceberg

Picture the iceberg. Part of it is above the surface and part below. Much of what gives you stability above the surface is the actual stability of what's below the surface. To be successful on the outside it's what's inside. We can't just "act" our way to success but have to deal with what's inside us internally and our ideas of success. When we are calling on people and prospecting that is all external stuff, representations of who we are on the inside. We all vision cast and have been taught to "Act as if you were making whatever your goal was" these are great concepts if they truly match the disciplines and thoughts within. When they do match that is when things really start to take place, a good balance. Imagine the Iceberg with nothing below the surface...It would not be very stable, much like we are when our strength is not coming from within and we try and portray a vision on the outside only.

Henry David Thoreau "If man advances confidently toward the direction of his dreams and he endeavors to live the life he has imagined he will meet with success unimagined in common hours. " We must advance confidently. It is not by accident. Advancing confidently comes through training, belief, decision. In our company there is no limit to your dream, this gives us the opportunity "to advance confidently to our dreams" knowing there is nothing stopping us besides ourselves. We must dream and build on those dreams. "Listen to endeavor" the daily discipline of success. When we don't have discipline we have negative self talk which tears us down. We must pay now so we can play later. When our goals are big enough work will not be work but the enjoyment of what we need to do to reach our goals.

Think about people and non-profits not only money. Don't rely on external motivation from trainings etc...Make sure you study yourself and get the internal keys to motivation down. When you want to make a difference in the world motivation will come from inside of you. "We will meet with success in uncommon hours" it will surprise us how simple it really was to get to our goals.

1. What is my goal (purpose)? There is a reason why you've been placed in OurGV.
2. What's important about being successful to me? City slickers movie. "You all are the same spending 50 weeks a year getting knots in your rope come up here and want to get them all worked out. Do you know the secret to success? You have to decide the one thing that is most important to you." Your purpose will most likely have a lot to do with helping people.
3. What do I value and what are my priorities? Longer term goals 10 yrs. Down the road. Financial, physical, emotional and others that are important to you.
4. What is my short-term goal?
5. What are my daily activities? This is the top of the iceberg. What do I need to do today to make the other steps work.

Dealing with Failure

Orville Redenbacher? (or however you spell his name) the king of popcorn was a tireless worker. He had to try over and over to find the hybrid for the best popcorn. He went through 150,000 experiments a year to find the right one. It took several decades of failure to keep find success. He was able to sell it for 355 million dollars after he became successful. Failure is part of the game.
We must have the right perception and response to failure.
1. You will learn lessons.
2. There are no mistakes.
3. Repeat a lesson until it is learned.
4. Easy lessons will become harder.
5. You've learned a lesson when your actions change.
