Golden rule: treat others as you would want to be treated. This can back fire in one on one communications. Would a New Yorker treat people in San Diego the way they want to be treated?

Diamond rule: Do unto others the way they would have you treat them. We adjust our attitude for them and the way they like it.

You may have heard this stuff before but it's good to cover again. How many of you saw things differently the more times you saw it?

Each person has habits that fit their traits. We need to be good with communicating to their habits in business and socially. Your communication is only as good as your understanding of the people you are communicating too. EQ again is social intelligence. Which many are finding is more important than your IQ (intelligence quotient) to success. Especially in the global world that OurGV provides.

We can learn how to hanldle all ends of the spectrum of people. We can read people faster and faster to know what their habits and preferences are in any interpersonal situation. The Mini Journey training covers this in much more detail. This is not to manipulate others but to speak their language. Much like in France you'd like to speak French. The ideas don't change but how you present them does.

Red- firm, forceful, confident, risk-taker, impatient, you know who the leader is.

Blue- fun, lots of ideas, like to talk.

Yellow- stability, relationships, timid, slow to change.

Green- analysis, stiff, thinkers.

We all are drawn to some people, indifferent to many, and turned off by some. Our understanding of them will help them relate to us better. We all are blends of all styles but there is a dominant one. There is no style that is better than another.
