The metrics of sales success

Things that are measured tend to improve because we are paying attention to them. Even if we don't have much we need to track so that we have success.

Selling by the numbers
Every week or month track the number of new:
1. Number of prospective affiliates
2. Sources where they came from
3. Number of calls you are making
4. Number of times you actually contacted the person you were trying to reach
5. Number of times these activities resulted in a full presentation of our company, number of times you presented your story, what you can do for someone else, number of times you asked for a sales commitment
6. Number of times they said yes
7. What was the value of each sale?

We can then see where we are lacking. Most are lacking in the number of prospective affiliates at the very beginning. It could be you are reaching them but not asking for commitment. These numbers will show it so you can avoid thinking your problem is something it's not.

behavioral economics
1. Behaviors have values
2. Certain behaviors have costs

Many talk or have hear of ROI Return on investment. However, we should focus on these more...

R.O.A. Return on attitude-Half your job is keeping people in the right frame of mind. Managing their points of view. Right attitude things work. What's the purpose of selling? Not to make sales, but to build profitable business friendships. -

R.O.R. Return on Relations- who do you know and who knows you? Can you afford for them not to like you? Does it help your goals? Whether someone shops or is a top producer the relationship should be cultivated and developed to its full potential.

R.O.H. Return on habits- habits of focus create return. Hanging out unproductively costs us now as well as the multiplication effect of costing us millions. Learning can help us grow making us better and more productive. Can we afford to not have those habits? We need to do more than the others are doing who have accomplished what we are setting out to do. How does the habit of watching TV help you? Sleeping in late? Day dreaming between calls? What if we created new productive habits?

Yes. With this thing of tracking, now tracking how much money I bring in really makes me face the mirror. How much money I brought to the Company today? How much money am I expecting to get paid today? Have to look in the mirror. Thank you for this tracking thing.
