Repeating affirmations over and over like "I am productive, I am productive, I am productive" can create a feeling of productiveness if done with enough emotion but truly it will leave us without changing how we feel. We are still possibly left with not knowing what to take action on in the given moment.
When we ask questions to ourselves like "What can I do right now that is productive?" our mind will then search for the answers that we know already and create the change by reminding us what we need to do to be productive and then doing it. We know what to do now.
