The Law of the Broom

To get our business to the next level we must clean it up. Research shows that our days are cluttered up with things that do not help us become successful. Building our team and sharing with non-profits are the most valuable use of our time. People that lose manage the sales they've already made too much. Think of how much time you are actually selling per day. For most that time is less than 50%, usually far less. We need to put more time into those actual cash earning future building times.

If we can't do things right when will we find time to do things over again? If we can't do things right do we want to do it twice as long?

Positive actions create positive results, and the same in reverse. We need to establish tight clean systems. We will earn trust and create results by being proactive in these areas.

Green Light Activities:
At first when learning to drive we watched and learned about the stop lights. We were very careful as we prepared for our drivers test. Then as we got on our own we didn't care so much where we were going we were just happy to go. Slowly but surely the colors of the light had a little less meaning for us, along with the other rules of the road. Then we maybe got into an accident or got a ticket and we then were set back into a state of doing things by the book again. That's how our business is. We get ready to roll like crazy once we get started but we need to pay attention to some rules of selling. What would happen if we focused more on green light activities and limited the red light ones

Redlight activities:
1. Managing unproductive people
2. Teaching people
3. Dealing with high maintenance low profit people
4. Being disrupted by personal issues
5. TV
6. Too long of breaks
7. Wasting time riding the emotional rollercoaster

Greenlight Activities:
1. High trust planning
2. High trust referral prospecting
3. High trust referral follow up
4. New prospecting
5. High trust relationship management and growth
6. Adding value to key affiliates

The 100% question what would your career look like if you focused one green light activities?

Slow down instead of speeding up. Cleaning up with take some time. These are the yellow lights. We need to yield and think of what is a red versus green light in our lives. To grow a big business this will become even more important as we go.

Yellow light:
1. improving your knowledge of the company
2. Finding the right prospects
3. Generating and managing leads
4. Improving your presentation skills
5. Improving objection management skills
6. Working with OurGV tools.

If you really watch the yellow lights it's possible to avoid the red lights altogether. Maybe every third friday spend an hour or so looking at where you can get more focused and cut down on any slow areas of your schedule. Many people are shocked with the amount of time it actually takes to make the calls they need to make with the amount of hours there are in a day to make them. We probably could use 500 leads a week if we really focused but instead we get bogged down with activities that don't help us as much. Even part time people if truly adding up their schedule could use way more leads than they are currently getting if they focused on the productivity of their time. At the end of each hour think about how you spent your time. Most of the time you will find you manage existing affiliates instead of getting new ones. Using the checklist and promoting it right in the first place will save you tons of time down the road. What if someone does not work with the checklist? Does that sound like the super motivated affiliate you would like?

Let's clean it up!!
