A Beautiful Mind

In the movie the man was going after a noble prize. He had a mental illness that would make him see people. These people would tell him that he could not do it. To give up on his dreams. Those people had brought down his career, his marriage, other relationships, and wanted to take down this noble prize. He saw them again. His wife asked, "what is it honey? do you still see them?" He replied, "They are still there but they don't bother me anymore." He ignored them and went forward.

How many of us have past things that have been getting in our way?

oh so very true. How important to leave those hindrances...events, people, ..behind when I walk into the future. Thank you for this analogy. So timely for me!!!!!

I have this movie about Mr. John Nash and I've seen it several times as well as a documentary about him. I can relate on some level because I also have a mental illness. Though I do not have visual hallucinations, I too get negative symptoms from my illness that I must overcome. Thank you for noting this movie in the blog!

That is very deep, and can be very dark at times, this baggage we drag around with us. It seam some of us are able to shake it lose for a time, while others just can't, because its take the form of loved ones that are just to close, to precious to toss aside and let go of, or give up on...so precious we don't want to let go until their time is up...

It's a struggle for me sometimes to deal with the voices & the people I see too. These are real mortal people that have the same kinds of things to say about how I am not good enough & I should second guess my comitment etc. They get easier to deal with when I know the intent & purpose they hope to do to me. That knowing comes from these constant supporting articles & videos. I don't know what I would do without them. Thank you for all you do, Dear Sir/Friend!!!"
