Mental toughness is a choice.
The greatest predictor of success=Goal orientation + Mental toughness.
Goal orientation can be separated into two variables of focus and passion.
Mental toughness is the ability to perform at the highest level despite the circumstances. It comes from experience, education, and mentoring.
5 choices that have to be made to increase our mental toughness:
1. Embrace the pressure. Pressure is our greatest ally. It helps us focus and bring out our best. To get better at pressure it only comes from performing under pressure. Are your ultimate goals bigger than this thing that is causing short term pressure? If so then this is good practice for what you will become. That is why we embrace it because it helps get us better. Decide "I like the pressure because it helps push me to be all I can be".
2. Practice for the emergencies. Know the response ahead of time. Go through the different situations that can cause discomfort to you in your mind. Decide on what the best way to handle those situations and visualize that response. Practice it. The sun is going to come up whether you sign up this person or not. You are incredible regardless of what kind of emergency comes your way.
3. Script Success. Put on your game face. Be prepared for making it happen. In any business, non-profit, or organized team wouldn't we want to have a system and plan for our success. Before each call settle yourself and get ready for the best call you've ever had. When you take time off take the game face off.
4. Trust your instincts. When you are learning learn. When the game is on relax and play. Don't get stuck trying to learn during. Allow all the preparation to come out on this call. Dance, don't count your steps.
5. Perseverance. Never give up. Keep on. Make it happen through the thick and thin. When I was the number one affiliate for the year in a previous home business it was my third year involved and I had not been in the top 10,000 prior. I also was not in the top 5 at all during the months of that number 1 year, but I was consistent each month.

This is fantastic!!!! Play during the game, not learn. Dance, not count the steps. Allow all the learnt stuff to come out all at once at the moment. Magnificent! And thank you for your share of how you were not even in the top 5 that year, but you were consistent! Yes! Thank you.
