Eliminate Self-Pity

We need to put together 2 main lists:
1. All things you don't like about yourself and can't change. Pray for self acceptance and tear up the list and burn it!!! Resolve not to think about those things again. There is nothing you can do so stop worrying about them.
2. All things you can change. Set goals and start doing something about them now!

Write out lists of personal assets (4 columns):
1. List all things you can do well.
2. 10 positive character traits.
3. Every recognition ever received.
4. All personal assets such as education, work experience, knowledge gained on your own, volunteer work, etc...

Keep this list handy and in front of you. When we burned the old list we created an empty space that must be filled with something good otherwise our mind will search for something.

Law of emotional gravity: One pessimist can pull down five optimists easier than five optimists can lift one pessimist.

Seqoia trees grow 200 feet tall and have a circumference of 70 feet. But they do not have deep roots at all, but are intertwined growing only together. Through their team work they grow big and strong.

Cactus will store water like reading for us. When things get tough we have that information stored to draw from.

Look into a mirror deep into your eyes and repeat positive thoughts. This will help you become more positive.

A man wanted to challenge this so called genius who knew every answer. He was going to put a little bird in his hand behind his back and ask the genius whether the bird was alive or dead. Whichever answer the genius gave the man would do the opposite with the bird, either killing it or leaving it alive. When the genius was asked if the bird was alive or dead he said, "It is as you will it to be." Just like our lives!!!!

was amazing to put the new list together and get rid of the old. makes me feel good inside!! I appreciated writing down the things that are positive and do well, caused me to reflect on those and be reminded that to do well it took practice and patience as building the business does. thank you!!

As I was burning the list, the smoke alarm went off. It's just the way it is in reality too because as I make the decisions to develop into a new man & eliminate old undesirable elements, sometimes it creates such a stink that anyone around is sure to know. On the other hand, the other list isn't even known of by other people yet. I will keep it close & work on developing it as my very own special secret project. Thank you so much for this wonderful handle I get to appropeiate & actually get a grip on a vital part of my very soul.
