Bounce Back

Winners experience more failures in life. Winners are always pushing themselves to do more, to try new things, thus there is always more opportunities to fail and grow forward from those failures. Losers don't try anything so how can they fail? They succeed at not doing much.

It's how people react to failure that matters. Winners rebound resiliently. They bounce back. Set-backs don't stop them they are learning opportunities.

Henry Ford, "Failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently."

Eliminate "I failed" and change it to "I learned". Learn to be somebody who is optimistic. Half full instead of half empty.

What's bad about this situation is..... And what's good about this situation is..... That helps us always see the good.

Losers say, "If only I had...." And they focus on what could be different, looking at the past. Winners will look forward "starting now I will...." Don't worry about what could've been different in the past but rather what will be better in the future.

Don't think of yourself as a loser, but rather "I'm a winner experiencing a negative result in one area of my life." Remind yourself of what is going right.

The key is to bounce back. Things will get better. Grow.

Jim said...What an awesome reminder. How foolish could we be to think it's possible to live without experiencing lots of failings. What a powerful comforting inspiration to have leadreship training us to fail like pros. Thank you.
