The Law of the Hour Glass

You must make your moves before the time runs out. The sand in the hourglass is falling. Even if it's a game you want to win and you need to make it happen. Often people are not aware of the time and they lose the game. We are not going to do that!!!

If you fall behind or notice things not getting done how did it make you feel? It can often chip away at our attitude. It's not in how many hours we have because we all have the same amount it's what we do with the hours we have. We need to be better with all of the hours we have. Once the seconds are gone there is nothing we can do about them forever.

We can blame others for weighting us down but it's us. We determine our time. We're responsible for being productive.

At Disney they were trying to figure out how to become more productive. They found it was an increased value of every minute was all it took. This helped get more productivity with less time like a production line helps produce more products with less effort. At the time Disney was open only 5 days a week, with 3 of those days half days. They found they had to be open more to get more done. They had to do different things with those 24 hours than they were doing before. They started even opening up the park after midnight to school groups for over night trips. It would cost them before they would reap the rewards but that investment would help them in the long run way more than staying shut down all those hours. Do you think in our lives we should be staying open more as we build our teams? Do you think many are afraid to make those moves because it will cost them in the short run, but it would be totally logical if the goals we have on paper are truly going to be accomplished. We can't stop the time but we control it and what we do with it.

Top affiliates don't only manage their time but manage their moves they make each day. All of their moves are purposeful in the direction towards their goals. They get on a roll and stay on it.

What would you like to be worth per hour? We need to value your time and do the most productive things in this given hour to help create that higher value. Does your dentist, mechanic, etc...know what they would like their hours to be worth? Did they have to work hard to create that value for that hour? Did it take time, study, practice, some evolution of their productivity to be able to have that happen? Of course...and we need to work hard on ourselves and respect our minutes to do the same.

Jim said, "Thank you again. It is apparent that getting a grip on this one concept is getting a grip on my whole life...or else wasting it. I am either tracking or lacking. Thanks for all the help. Love to you."

This should be a no brainer, but we all need to be reminded that we are in control of the same 24 hours that the millionairre has. He just knows what to do with them to maximize their benefit. I can only hope that, with Mr. Schapiro's expertise, I can learn this lesson, too.
