Acres of Diamonds

True story

There once was an African farmer who heard stories of other farmers finding diamond fields. He decided to join them and sold his farm.

After looking for years and years for the highly valuable diamonds and finding none he threw himself in a river and drowned.

Back at the farm the man who bought it was crossing the stream on the property and saw a flickering light coming through a stone on the streams ground. He picked it up noticing it's beauty and put it on his mantle as an interesting curiosity.

A few weeks later a guest noticed the stone and picked it up and nearly fainted as he realized what it was he asked the farmer if he knew what it was. He had not but what he had found was one of the biggest diamonds ever in the world. The farmer said they were all over the creek bottom. It turned out this farm had the most diamonds on the African continent.

This new farmer had bought it for close to nothing from the first one as he went off to chase a dream of finding diamonds. If he had taken time to research and learn what diamonds looked like in their rough state and to study the piece of land he already had he could have discovered them.

Each of us are in the middle of our own acres of diamonds if we'd only explore ourselves we'd find all the results we seek. Our pastures are green we only have to care for them. We can't waste our time looking from one place to the next without taking care of ourself. Your mind is your richest resource. What your doing is the best thing for you to be doing that's why you're here. Many people struggle and hop from career to career, or opportunity to opportunity. You are here for a reason. Max yourself out in all your efforts to discover all the success you can. Now we just need to research study and explore our own business and find the diamonds all over.

We need to proceed as if there are no limits to our abilities.

I really liked this. It's a very powerful message - look for the treasure that's already within.
