Winning in Sports and Business

In sports you can adjust just a little bit and reap incredible advances in results. Just because you are not getting the results you may want don't overhaul the whole system. Make small changes and keep plugging away. There is not that much difference from incredible failure and incredible success. Most of the time we have to tweak our attitude most of all and be patient with the numbers. We get down on ourselves because our expectations are higher for our recruiting then the results are at the beginning. We need to keep on moving forward with a positive attitude about where we will be, who we will become. It's an amazing thing!!!

When others criticize you I want you to look at where they are standing. Are they standing on the field playing the game of life or are they yelling down at you from the stands? It's easy to be a fair weather fan and reconcile why we decided not to do what it takes to play the game of life. Fans don't boo nobody's. You must be doing something finally to create a stir in others and that's a good sign. It's the person in the game of life that really counts.

Most people when they are rookies struggle. As they go through all these failures they continue to develop and get better. Maybe the rookie year does not earn the future MVP trophies, but the fact that they didn't quit and kept getting better is the foundation for those accolades. Press on, don't give up. Failure is the beautiful attempts towards getting better and succeeding.

We won't get respect by titles. We will earn respect by how we work each day. It's not the publicity that will win the titles but the results, both in sports and business.

People have come from all backgrounds and hardships to be successful in athletics and business. What excuses do you have? Don't make excuses accomplish dreams. Become who you are.
