It's not what happens to you but how you react to what happens that separates the winners from the losers.
Winston Churchill said, "Things don't happen to me. I happen to things."
I am willing to pay the price. As humans we are motivated by needs and deterred by fears. We're told to dream big and work hard and success will follow....It demands more than that. It requires a belief in yourself. We are an automatic guidance system (AGS) it's all on us "the operator" how we guide ourselves. What we tell ourself and our goals. Our self-image about what we need to be like and to have in our lives. When a wild animal comes up we are taught to make ourselves BIG...That's exactly what we need to do everyday to hit our goals.
A person must be willing to adapt to changes going on around them. Stability requires change and adaptation. We must be able to pay the price and do the things that unsuccessful people won't do. There is a cost involved when one is actively pursuing and achieving their goals. Few people are willing to pay the price and they lower their standards and settle.
Successful people will pay the price and hit their goals.
Your self image controls your attitudes which control your needs which control your emotions. From our emotions come our habit patterns.
Clasp your hands together intertwining your fingers. Now switch the grip of your hands the opposite way with the other hands finger on top. How does that feel? Not too comfortable. How about cross your arms and then cross them the other way. Our habits are automatic and reflect our subconscious thoughts. Our habits control our output (behaviors).
To treat others with love we must first love ourselves.
We can get motivated but when something goes wrong we go check in with our self image. The self image is the true source of our consistent attitudes. We have to change that first. A positive self image wants to set goals where a bad one is apathetic because they can't see hitting them.
Number one thing we must do is believe we have the right to be successful. The secret is to see yourself as a winner and believe that you can make it. People actually perform the way they see themselves performing in their minds.
Failure comes in many ways:
1. Anticipation of failure. The number one reason why marriages break up, businesses go under, students fail school etc....Is anticipation of failure. 85% of businesses failed in 1st year because of this. It's the law of self fulfilling prophecy. Be careful what you expect because you will get it.
2. Not taking responsibility. People always want to put the blame on other people, the product, the website, or anything they can get their hands on to hide away from looking in the mirror. People hate to say they could and should be doing more and they are holding themselves back. This is what I always come back to and ask myself, "Has someone gone through more difficulty than this situation in my life and came out successful?" The answer is always yes and puts it back on me to forge ahead. We are all quick to take the success credit but not the blame. It's not until we die that we become all that we will ever be.
3. Fear not faith. Fear is a darkroom where negatives are developed. Concentrate on positives. Nothing can overcome fear but faith. Driver and passenger. Passenger has faith but the driver knows. Faith is acting like it's so when it is not so yet and in order for it to become that way.
4. No clear goals. We are like bicycles which stand straight as long as we go forward but fall if not. Goals lift, guide, and give direction.
Our creator did not place us on this earth to be losers and he didn't place dreams in our hearts to discourage us and have us feel like failures for not accomplishing them. Our dreams are fact that we are meant to achieve them. We are winners. We've been misled to think we don't have the right to it all and we do.
A winner is a person who has become all that he or she dreamed of becoming. They have accomplished their goals.
